Any rc plane crash that happens when you are pushing yourself and your abilities is a good crash, especially when minimal repairs are needed. Nate smashed his new E-flite Timber X rc airplane straight into the ground by complete mistake, but he was able to learn from it and will fix the rc plane soon and be flying it before no time! What was your worse rc crash? Let us know in the comments.

You are an awesome pilot, anyone who has been behind the sticks can see that. I love the positivity and you guys still posted the video. Thanks guys!!!!
I was pleased to hear you give God the glory for the beautiful day. I'd like to see you do a "how to" repair video.
@D town 313 in the other videos they have this linked....
amzn.to/2XVFG4N
Great videos for beginners. Show how you repair and store them. How you store the batteries. I'm very new to the sport.
You should have yelled TIMBER when it fell out of the sky
sudden gust of gravity. Gets us all sooner or later.
sharing the good and the crash with us is why we love you guys. its just part of the hobby!
Oh man! I watched your maiden, then watched a video by Pilot Ryan, then came back to you guys and saw the crash flight. It happens to all of us, in fact it happened to me this week with my Eflite V900. I've decided no more hand launch planes for me! LOL. Just way too unpredictable! Love you guys, keep up the good work! :)
I have had so many crashes over the past 12 years of fixed wing and about 75% of them were bad launches. I can honestly say all my ROG flights were less stressful and less eventful. My new motto is: "If it'll fly off the ground, it'll fly in the air."
Plus the closer to the ground the better. Aborted takeoffs from the ground usually result in less damage.
You could review a cheeseburger. I'd still watch it, as I'm sure it wouldn't take to long to review one.
Oh no! I am here for the flying, stayed for the crash. Nate, You jinxed yourself talking about crashing. Duck tape that wing and call it good!
Genuine people. We need more of them. Thank you & keep up the great work.
I'd like to see the repair video too
Yes I'd like to see you making repair video that would be informative for all of us and if you're flying them you're going to crash them
Hey Guy's. It's good to see videos of our hobby at this difficult time but I do have a question. If like us in the UK you are only supposed to go outside for essentials, like exercise. grocery shopping and medical, how are you allowed to go flying? I get the social distancing but you still have to make a non essential journey. What if you had an accident? Wouldn't that be putting an unnecessary strain on resources and also force someone to break their social distance to come to your aid?
"It may be the last 3S that I put in here....". Famous last words...🛫🛬
That and he was talking about crashing just seconds before he drills the ground.
I would enjoy seeing a repair video for this plane
Good info about the smart batteries. Thanks!
Love the rc videos but I love cheeseburgers too!
Thank you for the great attitude and acknowledgement of the Higher Power. Be Blessed. I used to fly RC a lot...haven't flown in 8 years...have a couple I need to finish (I do have a high end commercial drone I fly now...FAA licensed...but that isn't anything like the fun of flying fixed wing RC).
Outstanding video as a GREAT learning tool. You both ROCK🤟🏻
Keep up the great work for us to learn from.✨🤗✨
I am sorry for the crash. But. It is nothing bad. I want to thank you both for always reminding us of getting outside. Enjoy a hobby. Have fun whenever you can. You are both such a positive influence. I am greatful for being here on your channel. I love you both!
I wanna see this cheese burger ...
Foam safe CA glue and a few large gauge syringes are a must have. 2 minutes and you're back in the air. Hot glue is not for foam, bro. Have fun stay safe..
Hot is perfect for foam especially if you don't have 45 minutes to wait around for the CA to set.
Awesome channel and video thank you
It is a rather unusual break. So, yes, a repair video Mr. Nate man.👍🧙♂️😎
Great video. Totally agree, crashes aren't "if"...they're "when"... all part of the fun. Love the TimberX,. Stay safe and well.
Thank you for having the humility to show your crash. Hope it glues back good as new for you guys.
I crashed and destroyed my valiant yesterday learning new stuff...... when I first started flying I would be really upset but now it’s all part of learning to fly and I either fix them or replace them........
I just crashed my apprentice last night lol... it's on a roof of a rotmans warehouse lmao. My camera is up there too... I want the camera back to put the footage on RUclips lol
Don't give up on the Timber X!! I really encourage you to try this plane with 4s and dual span ailerons.......it's amazing!! Also, I can't emphasize how much I appreciate you showing raw and real flying footage. We all crash, it's simply how we learn and the progression of this sport. Your videos are awesome! After 4s and dual span, you will be hovering this plane all the time.
I would love to see a repair video by you guys.
You guys are one of my favorite channels, I never comment but thought you should know!
Thanks!
You kids are great. I love watching all your vids. I’m 79 yr young and started the hobby last year. I just got the timber 1.5 wingspan.haven’t flown yet. Will as soon as winds calm down.thanks for sharing .
Great attitude! I have done that a whole bunch of times, so now I have a toolbox full of every size of prop!
Thank you Nate And Abby for the video,I'm Sorry I haven't been watching your Videos lately but I Still have you Nate,Abby, and Amilia and I'm Keeping you in my Prayers 🙏😷🖐👍
Thanks for another great video. I’ve been into rc racing tc since 2001. I’ve always wanted to fly. Bought a helicopter around 2006, flew it a couple times (terribly) and then crashed. It survived, but after sitting for years it needs a new battery. Now I’ve got the bug again, and deeper pockets! Anyway, thanks for these videos, I’ll be picking up something soon and try again.
Can't wait to see it fixed. Good luck!
My lord! You guys are so positive! It rubs off!!
I sure hope you guys don’t stop making these videos... I just love them! So entertaining! Lovely to watch under lockdown! Keep it up guys!
Would love to see a repair video. Love your channel for who you guys are. Appreciate your honesty and information. This is a beautiful plane. God bless.
Great vid guys.. lots of lessons learned.. i am going to get the turbo timber with floats instead. I personally prefer the scale flying with it.. looks fun tho
Another awesome video as usual. This is one of the reasons why I love your channel complete honesty. It's great that you show true maidens and crashes because every pilot regardless of your experience crashes are part of the hobby. I'm still a beginner but have had 3 crashes luckily not bad ones. Would be great for a repair video. I have a the eachine mustang what would be the best glue to use on that?. Keep up the great work
Bummer bro ! happy Easter brother Cool Bird and great flying
Just waiting on my new prop! Thanks, Happy Easter! 👍⚓😎
Thank God for you guys! And thanks for sharing the fun and joy of this hobby during these tough times.
Stay healthy and safe!
I'm sure your little one will one day make an appearance in your videos flying, driving RCs or simply just commentating like my daughter does in my videos.
Us blokes here in Australia are bummed out since we can't fly with the strict social distancing rules (unless I fly whilst exercising). A flying field of your own would really come in handy right now...
I bought a Timber X to get back into the hobby after a 25 year hiatus. I went straight to 4S-2400, and won't look back. She is a great flying plane on 4S, and the extra cell helps with the proper CG. To me, it seems to be tail heavy on a 3S pack (my friend has one with 3S). Even after a 25 year break, I was flying this on high rates after a couple of flights. Very happy with this plane!
After the hot glue, or foam safe CA, I always tape over both repairs with one strip of clear packing tape, and you can take a few more of those dive with no more damage! Don't ask me how I know:-(
I have stopped doing almost everything RC except for fixed-wing planes and the occasional boats in a kiddie pool. Thinking I might get the Valiant and the DX6e. I'm not stunt-plane ready yet. I'll work on it in the sim sometime. Stay safe, you guys. God bless.
You guys are great love your positive attitude thanks
Nate, You should try Gorilla glue. The bond is better than hot glue, and the glue is lighter. There is more clean up, but it's not bad. Plus, it's easier to use in really tight places.
Good video. We’re on stay at home orders here, so... with no outdoor flying I replayed this on RF9 as closely as I could. With 5-10mph of wind, on 3S, half flaps, flying slow, and turning down wind, the simulator timber 1.2x did the same thing consistently. I could only recover if I had >75feet of altitude and time to hit the throttle.
Yeh, I have too much time on my hands.
Thanks for flying. Hope the repair goes well. Stay safe.
That's Nathan for sharing real flight videos I love what you and Abby do for me and others who love the RC hobby!🥰👍
Sharing is sharing. You do you brother. You guys are great if you want to share your favorite burger do it lol
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one they say.lol grate flight none the less . Top vid Abby and Nate stay safe cheers!
Hey nate u tried it on full span setup yet? Its def built to be ran full span. Also did it knock the motor mount loose, thats what i woulda figured happened.
Early crew! Nate and Abby - thank you again for posting today.
You sound new to the hobby and loving it. Great! Can I give a couple tips from a guy who’s been at it for 45 years. You should build a couple of balsa kits. There’s no better feeling than to fly something you build. Better even if they are nitro. A sig 4 star 40 with an OS 45 is like heaven on earth. Old timey noise and smell. It will help you appreciate where the hobby came from. Always take a couple of extra props to the field cause you will break them. An extra Tx battery too. I Never fly anything that I will cry over if it crashes. I’ve crashed every plane I ever built/ bought including every heli as well. Keep your lipos in a flammable liquid storage cabinet. Peace of mind. I love that you’re so enthusiastic - you sound like me thirty five years ago. And I’m still in love with this hobby!
We need to see this cheeseburger. :) Great video as always.
I have no one to ask how do adjust my Opterra wing to give more elevator because it hardly moves when pulling back on the sticks and it hard went up when Maidening? Please any suggestions 😊😊
Yeah, some repair tip videos would be great to show how to get your plane, vehicle, or boat back in operation. That is part of the hobby also.
Thanks for sharing.. very true what you said about life! .. and the hot glue tip comes in handy :-)
Hi . Just a heads up I've delt with a few foam planes and what works good is good old masking tape. And if you want a lil stronger you can go buctape works well also. I did it a few times and even b4 flight. But there is a lil bit of weight involved so you might have to trim it up a lil more than what you think ?
I just got my first plane not long ago and have had to fix it several times already. After fixing it I realized why it’s so popular. I honestly wouldn’t have even tried flying planes if didn’t see your videos.
Channel continues to grow guys! Stay safe, look forward to more videos
I'm looking to get my first RC plane I'm thinking a night radian or something like that if anyone has any better suggestions. Really looking for something that I will be able to use well into the future as that will grow with my skill level.
Nosed in my 3d ripples today at full power same as you Nate. Smashed prop and split wing. Easy to fix. Great video guys♥️
Just the other day I crashed my Timber X quite a bit harder and I also crashed my Bixler 2 the same evening. Broke the starboard wings on both planes and ripped out the aileron hinges on the Timber. Pretty bummed that evening.
I was going to use epoxy for my repairs. I heard you mention hot glue... is hot glue your preferred method to mend foam?
I think this is a good opportunity to show how you fix planes. We all crash and everyone repairs differently and having your input could help. Thank you both for the great vids and entertainment!
Thank you guys. Sorry about the plane but thank you for the great outlook.
Happens to us all, my friend. But you got off real cheap - the beauty of flying off grass! And now Abby won't be worried about flying it. :)
Yes a repair video would be cool. Thank for you videos.
Ah oh! I’ve really been happy with my Typhon 6S and the more of y’all videos I watch I want MORE! I’m looking at boats and crawlers and I just got my brother to the hobby shop and he bought himself a drone. Keep up the great videos and keep enjoying the hobby, I know I am!
Thank you for always keeping it real. I watch you guys because you ARE "Normal" people and family oriented. I watch those other guys and I think, I can't do that, I watch you and get a good idea of what it will do when I get. Thank you and God Bless from my Family to yours.
As crashes go, that's not too bad! I'd like to see it in the air AGAIN!! Thanks Saylors for sharing your experience!! 💟👍😘
Your vids are amazing
I sometimes get a perverted kick out of playing back crashes in .5 or .25 slo-mo. Often listening to the audio is more entertaining than seeing the crash itself, as is the case in this video.
Haha, nothing wrong with that if it makes you happy! You rock Bill! Happy Flying 👍😁😎⚓
Do the repair video and then the 4s comparison !!! 👍keep that nose up 😎 ✈️
hey guys .. glad to hear you're doing ok.. i watched a video you did a while back... an unboxing of a sailboat. Did you ever get it into the water? did you do a video for it? (i scrolled through your vids and didn't see it.).. how did it sail?
With your videos I bought piper timberx and air tractor over Christmas flew all and very good planes to have fun with keep up the good work hopefully more planes to buy because of the great reviews u have on them 😀
Yes 👍👍 repair video please
Love the content . P.S. I would have cried
I enjoy watching your videos, particularly the banter between you and Abby. I have one request for your videos. You often say that a certain aircraft flies on the 3 cell battery, but you never tell me what size! For instance, please say that it requires a 2,200 MaH, 3 cell battery, or that it needs a 3 cell in the 1,300 to 3,000 MaH. Thanks!
i got my own Tenber X WAY before covid and i loved it ive recked it so much we fixed it so much 3 years later im still flying it in 2022 and its still just as fun as the day i got it!!!!!!
accept i did not reck it this bad. sorry nate
Would a 6 channel work well with this plane because when I flew it on the simulator, it was already in 3D mode. Is there any way I can disable it to where it can fly normally without having to disengage 3D mode?
I was just thinking the same thing. Your absolutely correct!
Nice. I'm glad you dont edit out your flloobers. Welcome to the crash club bro.
Man you cracked me up nothing like jinxing yourself talking about crack UPS and hot glue and crashes and then fly it into the ground really fun
I was about to suggest a repair video on this particular plane, just as you mentioned it in your video. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to foamies. Thanks!
Forget the crash.
That flight was incredible.
I have never enjoyed any of your flights better.
Yes definitely do a how to fix please. My son got a plain and crashed it the first time and I didn't even get to try it. Hahahahaha. Thanks.
Seriously, if you play this from 4:06 to 4:20 on .25 playback speed it is hilarious.... Love the channel!
Had to watch our video exactly how you said to and right there. You are right! Hilarious!! 😂😂 Made me LoL a couple times!! 👍😁⚓️
Sorry, to see you crash this plane Nate. Hope to see it in another vid flying again soon. Great attitude on the crash! Like you said, it is part of the hobby. This is one of my go to's on RF9. Please do vid on the repairs. I think it would be educational for some of your newbie followers.
Everything was fine, it was just that sudden stop that got you. Great video guys I would like to know more about the smart batteries that are self discharging you were talking about. I'm new to this, I did buy the Sport Cub S 2 but I haven,t flown yet cause all our parks are close due to the virus. Let me know more
Just like going steady in high school. Break up! Repair! Break up! Repair! Next!
Bummer to go down but as we all know it happens. I highly recommend you get some foam tac glue. It's not super cheap but has a ton of uses in the hobby and some really great properties. Thanks for the videos keeping us occupied while on lock down
I'm learning and have an XK A600 that has so much glue on it, it's not funny. I wish it didn't happen so much but I never get mad about it. Like you said, it's just part of the hobby. I think I'm going to replace the fuselage and tail soon. There is more glue than foam on it 😋
I love your thanking God for the day. I hope this continues even after this crisis. Stay safe!
Got a few foamys not of those calibers, Hot Glue/Craft Glue works wonders I do get asked time to time which I prefer Foam is always the answer why you answered it. So many repairs are to easy Glue and go.
Fun video! My tip is to turn a little more with the ailerons and not the rudder. There were a few slow turns that looks like they were about to "snap" and that last turn did what it did because you tried correcting mainly with the rudder which at that slow speed, made the plane do a snap roll. Blue skies!
Good and honest video greetings from Dublin Ireland🇮🇪
Altitude is your friend. :) Where'd you go for the consolation cheeseburger?
Great crash that is just in the spirit of my old mother. She always said, fly low and slow so you don't fall down!
Yes do a repair video That would be cool
I am looking for a plane that can land in a very tight zone or area, could you demonstrate the short slow landing capability of that plane please?
I almost crashed flying that plane my self. I had it set on 3D with no Expo. It almost went bad. Now I’m used to it and I love it.
Really hope to see the 3s/4s comparison. I haven’t flown it on 4s yet
Hey, That's my middle name, Crash. If you're not crashing you're not flying! Thanks for posting! I think you could post a repair how to, for your technique. Maybe some of the bolsa wood only people may see what the foam planes are capable of vs a bolsa wood augar into the ground. Bolsa planes are cool but, just won't handle much of a ground impact. Another great video, thanks!
I’m just getting into RC and am struggling to fly my 1st plane so much so I brought another one and I crashed it the other day within seconds it’s so frustrating....! I just don’t seem to have the confidence to keep it in the air and tips ?
An RC flight simulator program helped me get my thumbs to do what I wanted them to do. I still use my sim program in the winter when I can't fly.
