Smart people underperform because they over analyze! 😔
TucoChannel Actually I agree. Over analyzing is the biggest factor of underperforming. Smart people limiting themselves because they think too much of "what ifs"..
I am not saying your opinion is wrong or whatnot. It is great.
But it is an opinion of a victim mode. It is better to accept your lacking , than blaming everybody.
The victim mode mindset is the very mindset of losers and underperformers. I'm really sorry. Please don't get mad.
guilty as charged!
Aaron Wroten but then they perform.
Aaron Wroten that's so true, they tend to be perfectionist. Also they think more than act
That's definitely a part of the problem.
3 Short term Goals. 3 Medium Term Goals. 3 Long Term Goals. Definitely an easy way to prioritize!
... and 3 Lifetime Goals!
Such good advice
Guys! I figured out what my problem is... I'm too damn smart.
I'm too smart to sit through an introduction which describes how many children someone has.
😂😂😂😂
But if it were't for Screen Sucking, I would never have seen this video.
Haha, exactly!
gotta get the email updates lol
This is just GOLD. Don't worry alone... and so much more.Get the facts. Make a plan!
Don't put up with leaches. What are your lilies? Mine are my kids. Love Marie!
Love it Marie, some great practical tips
celebritypearl me too! I love Patricia Bright !!
celebritypearl me too
Well, "never worry alone" is the one I need to pay attention to and work on finding people I can worry with
Thanks again Marie. The best advice today was regarding prioritizing. This activity helps us to refine crystal-clear goals and encourages true self-awareness.
Thank you so much for interviewing Dr. Hallowell, Marie. I've been wanting to work with people with ADD in my business because they are known to have so much energy and drive, so it just tickled me pink to see you interviewed the Master.
wasn't suppose to be watching this but some how i got here and watching this
I'd simply say that this small, light video is Life-chaning.
Perfect. Great advice. It's something I definitely suffer from. It's about working smart as well as hard. Thank you. 👏
"I'm a writer and I can't write more than few hours" I can totally relate to this ! I'm like stuck with my research paper, it's only few pages long but I can't seem to finish it ! saying that he's a writer and witnessing the same thing makes me kind of relieved
+khadidja nada Your concentration decreases with time, and replenishes with breaks. So try taking a 5 min break every 45 min, I'm sure you'll find your productivity improving.
I love this Marie! I love the work you do and you are sooo inspiring!❤
Thanks so much for watching, Laura! 💗 - Monauar, Team Forleo
I feel that with the "yes" suggestion, in the workplace we're unfortunately programmed to say yes to the boss or else. There's this attitude that if you're not fully committed to your job 100% without question, or you aren't a valuable asset to your employer. It makes people afraid to say no for fear of being on the chopping block at the next layoff.
i like the part were he says find someone to share yr worries with
I am crazy busy recently, there are good advices from this video , I like this.
Thankyou. Keeping the lillies growing i s great starter but never finish
It's so me! Juggling multiple projects at a time is not very productive! So now I've started working on only one thing at a time, which is a challenge! But I can already feel more productive
3 goals each, today, next couple of weeks n 6 months to a year. And 3 life goals. Awesome.
I love her confidence and interviewing skills
What an incredibly authentic guy.
Love this!! This was so needed. I have so many lilies/worthwhile projects that are all equally important to me. I think the point that Ned mentioned that really spoke to me was Defining and prioritizing my goals into term categories. That way I could get them all done while staying focused on those that are most urgent. Thanks!
Achieving three small goals a day is a strategy that I will use from this day on. I will start prioritizing. By the way, I just subscribed to your channel after watching this enlightening interview. Thank you for sharing this knowledge. Greeting from Venezuela.
Trimming my goals to three short, medium and long term goals sounds empowering.
I watched this video before but it was helpful to get a refresh on setting the short term, medium and long term goals.
WOW! I LOVED THIS! THANK YOU FOR THIS!
We can and we should also get rid off our mother, if she is a leech. We are not obliged to spent our life with leeches of any sort. But we owe it to ourselves and to the world to live our lives in our highest vibration. This wouldn't be possible if we are stuck in a relation with a vampire - even if it is our mother.
Thank you for the video. I agree with everything, except the mother stuff...*)))
#1 and #5 combined! Getting those goals in place, and make sure they are to cultivate lilies and not leeches.
Wooah this is an amazing advice for life.. i love it.. it meant so much for me in this time of my life.. thank you Marie keep it up.. greetings from Mexico!!
this video was a screen sucker for me personally. alas, I realised it only I watched it in full
Sandy at least you watched the whole thing, I'm about to click off because my attention span is like a squirrel on cocaine
LoL. That's really funny expression. As if squirrel wasn't enough you had spike its drink. Bravo. Let's live in our lives as we want to be
Dont worry alone!
So so insightful and worth it! No 1 and 5 really stuck with me! Thanks Ned and Marie! 😊
This is excellent! I've been looking for a channel like this.
WOW! This was excellent! From one Jersey girl to another, you really know how to cut through some life crap!
This was a great video! And Marie your hair is EVERYTHING!!!! Love it!
why don't we have more of this on TV ? Great Guest !
Ever heard of Steve jobs, bill gates, mark Zuckerberg, jack Dorsey, etc?
Steve Jobs was more creative than smart, Steve Wozniak was the dude that did the coding and computing for Apple ;)
thorns. He wasn't the only one on my list bud :)
Flame2057 Just bustin a myth bro
thorns. I mean Steve Jobs is still really smart, though
Flame2057 Associating intellect with creativity is a crime though, creativity can never be measured.
Amazing! Thank you for posting such a nice video!
So good had to watch it twice! I am horrible at saying I'll do stuff & over filling the plate.
Amazing video and interview!!!! Thanks!!
The great tip never worry alone was for me like a self-shock. I couldn´t believe it when then explanation followed it all made sense. It´s like that opposite of never eat alone. With the same underlying message. Not just stay interconnected, but maintain the relationship. And even when u have a fucking problem, just talk about it and like he said, often you find the out this wasn´t a fucking problem, and afterward you laugh together about it. Genius
Good questions and the answers absolutely clarified my bigger picture, when it goes into relationships.
Thanks to youtube recommendation i found this channel :) awesome content
Loved this video and came at the right time. Especially the comment on Lillies vs Leaches. So true. Especially the "I'll get back to you on that". Another thing I would add would be that we all travel in patterns of behavior. We attract who we are. So if you don't want leeches, better start contributing to others. Nature has a wondrous way of arranging your life the people you need will naturally come to you and the others will drop off by themselves. Be so busy getting your stuff done that others don't enter.
screen sucking and overabundance of Lilies. Thanks Marie!!
Lilies and leeches for sure, augh. I've thought of what was spoken here many times, but seeing it marked so concisely really helps
Very useful information. Thanks for sharing Marie...
I need to avoid screen sucking. I have found myself addicted to Instagram and Pinterest to the point of thinking there should be a support group. Thanks so much for this interview it was very helpful! I think I should probably go hang out with my lilies now :)
Wow thank you so much marie very great info this has opened my eyes.
Procrastination, analyzing, overthinking, distraction, lack of focus, multitasking... this is why smart people underperform.
Dear Marie
you are really making value addition to people life
This is such amazing advice! I love the 3 goals per day idea especially since I have a tendency to totally get bogged down and overwhelmed by having too many things to do at any given time..
I appreciated the information and thought it was practically helpful. I think intelligent people fail sometimes because they get bored quickly and want to move on from people, interests and projects in order to have new experiences and learn. Perseverance isn't always about cerebral intelligence imao. It can be like curiosity killed the cat.
Anyway, I liked his goal template. Stay positive everyone!
I have subscribed via 2 different emails so I can always have Marie Forleo close. Thanks so much for this awesome video! I want to value my time and others with better planning and make sure I don't over-commit. I'm conscience of the fact that become attached & invested in my projects...fast. I rush the dating process because I am seduced by the rush. The project rush is the most important part of planning. Its the initial phase - putting all the pieces together and building the plan. That's my favorite part of business. However, I become so invested in the project that I would turn the billing clock off and dive in. That's a big no-no.
It was one of Marie's videos that helped me put it in perspective 3 years ago. Planning and organization became a permanent day in my calendar. Today I was feeling a little overwhelmed. Now, I have solutions! Thanks Edward Hallowell I will review and revise my goals and spread them out 30,60,90 and lifetime. I will prioritize my lilies and remove the leeches. I will honor my time and others and not say yes to too many things. I will prioritize my lilies and remove the leeches. This will sharpen my performance and give me time to do what I love with people I enjoy on projects where I can add value. Affirmations! You have both added value to my day. Many thanks!
P.S. I won't EVER worry alone and I'll make a plan for that too!
organization is key to most things
I'm so smart, I figured out that all teh stupid people think they're smart.
wozzlepop how does it feel to be told you watched this because AI thought you were the required audience
This really helped me today. Thank you.
Turned off after 20sec, infomercials put me off. When they start off by asking a question they think you'll agree with, that's a common manipulation technic used in advertising. It uses the the fact that if you agree with the first statement your mind will be more open to the second proposal, lowering your defences. So the next time you hear "do you sometimes feel like" or any variations of that in the media, they're trying to manipulate you.
This interview is really useful. That #2... I'm gonna get ya!!!
i like number 3. i tend to say "yes" too fast to too many things
thanks for sharing =)
Thank you so much for this!!
My favorite video yet.
Wow! all of my worst problems explain in this video, now I know how to face them, thank you so much!!!
great great. thank you.
Im noticing that theres a sweet spot between long-term/outer-gate, and immediate/inner-gate...the Adversary seems to adapt too effectively if I plan too proactively.
the biggest issue is when you let your mind run at miles/hour without a defined direction. It created a lot of unfocused noise that could have massive results if properly directed.
MANY WAYS
1. Exam anxiety, you underperform more than usual
2. Always awkward. We all know socialising is an intrinsic part of being sucessful
3. Mental illnesses. ADHD is pretty common yeah?
There is very superficial information. I thought there would be psychological studies involved with this interview with a doctor.
Waste of time watching this video.
Excellent video. Than you thank you thank you.
THANK YOU MARIE
Great interview. Most salient point for me is the email/social media timesuck. It's such an important tool to grow my brand, and it's a 24 hour non-stop machine. I've found as I give into the computer, I give out of my basic household duties and I look up and the dustballs are gunning for me on my neglected wooden floors. At least I remember to bathe. lol. I will take the time-blocking into consideration and practical "practice", and I will attempt to ignore my TweetDeck notifications, which is digital technology crack personified. Thanks, Marie!
For many of us, turning off email is not an option. Until recently, I worked for a boss who demanded immediate responses to all her emails. If you did not respond within five minutes, she'd call on the phone yelling "Don't you answer your email?"
Jim Samuel congratulations, it is now an option because she is not your boss
Her hair is everything
Simple. People underperform because they think they're SMART and know it already when infact they're just average.
True smart person is willing to learn on everything its path.. True smart person successes in life.
True Smart people are all in.
Excellent share, Thanks.
Thanks for this advice
This video makes a lot of sense.
I shouldn't carry the world on my shoulders. Not worry. alone I shoud work on it more I think . Thank you mary. Love you Shewitforjesus
i love this . Great work .
Thank you! 💜
The 3 goal rule was inspiring
Dont do too much becoz you will not complete all things but getting overwhelmed.
Keep it going as most people quit.
having a plan, having goals, a solid value system and saying NO 90% of the time are keys to success. Saying NO is key and staying away from 90% of people and activities that have fuck all to do with what you want to accomplish. 90% of people have low IQ, they consistently need to be around others, their goals are governed by the society and are time and energy sucking. This Dr Ned is a smart guy.... this is basic life coaching. On the end of the day PLAN, GOALS, VALUE SYSTEM, SAYING NO ARE KEY. FUCK 90% OF THE LOW IQ LEACHES.
Such an amazing video as always!! Thank you for always sharing such valuable information that can be applied in every aspect of peoples lives. You always put so much value and empowerment into your viewers, cant wait until you write a book someday.
I'm stuck trimming the branches while I should be watering the roots.
thank you so much
full bio of the guy in the beginning.
"i don't care, I don't care, I don't care"
Ty so much!
Excellent!
superb thanks alot. i love lilly and leach
I like this man.
The most important tip? I think that "3 goals with their correct term."
I disagree with never worry alone. If I worry with other people, I find I infect them with scary ideas they haven't thought of yet.
Just subscribed...good Job and nice advices..
I guess the most difficult point to put into practice is the last one, I am not really able to understand if a project is worth it or if a person is worth it until I got to try them and know them so I'll always waste time anyway. How can I understand in few time if a person or a project is worth it??
Brilliant! I definitely have to work on focusing on my lillies and removing the leeches !
I have noticed, I am smarter then most people. I have come to learn that it doesn't matter in the end. so why try, when I can be lazy and be more successful then the average. what I mean by that is, I made enough money to pay for what I need to live. what else do I need? more? and more? and more? where does that stop?
I could go on and on. but when I see rich people, it's almost like, they have lost their humanity.
Awesome Awesome Awesome 👌
The 3 things are difficult for me.
But welcome on my channel:-) and thanks for the video.
