When Simon began talking about leaders who look after their people, I smiled becuase I know that my boss lives and breathes this ethos. I've never been so happy at a position in my life, and I unquestionably give 110%.
@@suwan1986 I also have a boss that takes care of us and creates a space where we can become the best versions of ourselves. Regarding your wish to build and talk about a career plan, you have to know one thing. It’s your career not his or hers. You have to be 100% sure about why you want to have the career you want to have. Write it down. Then think about how you can achieve that why. Then you also write down what exactly are your options that you see having. Than make a big question mark under your options because you can never know which other options are really out there. Then approach your boss again and ask him/she if he/she can take the time to give you feedback to your career plan because you lay value on his/her opinion and experience. Then you will make it very hard for her/him to say no and if it’s still the case then look for a new job or look for a new mentor who doesn’t necessarily have to be your own boss. What was the question mark for? So you can give your mentor the opportunity to give you some ideas or insights or future plans where you could play a role in. Have the courage to ask and use your courage for your own good.
I can only assume the 48 viewers who put a thumbs down to this video are poor leaders who saw and heard themselves in some of Simon's examples. This is AMAZING content provided by an exceptionally astute, compassionate human being. If you didn't learn from this, you weren't trying.
I appreciated much of what Simon Sinek said in this video, especially his last comments: Don't be intimidated by the fact that it’s an awesome responsibility. Just do little, little things to make the lives of the people around you better. And if you practice a lot, you get good at it.
Can't stop thinking about how I can apply this to being a Mom. So often I am focused on managing the household and managing my kids instead of serving them and enabling them to do their "work" (growing up, developing, learning, becoming awesome people).
I´m often thinking the same how can I apply that to be a good dad. I guess as Simon said it is a process and daily learning. Small things can have a big impact. So don´t worry so much but the best thing you can do to kids is listening. Whenever they have a question just let things go down and listen with full focus.
As a small business owner, I found this so inspirational! It's so great to know that kindness and consideration makes someone a great leader!! That, I can do!!
I love when people say that! I can't wait until Simon's message FINALLY reaches the leadership in my company. They're ramping up as we speak for their version of the 80s corporate profit/growth push and keep asking us what WE are doing to grow the business while stripping away our holidays, multiplying our responsibilities, and increasing our work loads. I LOVED when the new CEO sent us a personal email from his home on Thanksgiving to thank us for being so dedicated, giving up a portion of our holiday to support our clients. Felt so much like "Let them eat cake" that I almost told him what he kiss while he was at his Thanksgiving dinner. Yes, this is 2020, and NO I'm not a millennial. There is a dwindling lack of respect for workers that has become so routine that we've normalized it. And then turn around and wonder (legitimately) why depression and suicide are skyrocketing?
Wow. This interview blew my mind. I've never had a "regular" job where I've felt valued. (This was a big part of me creating my own thing) And as I continue to grow my own business I will keep this conversation close to my heart. Thank you Marie and Simon.
Womaaan this made me cry so hard . I'm a veteran and I deployed twice. The first time three of my battle buddies lost their lives in which one was like my lil sister. A fellow Black woman... surrounded by hoah hoah men. It was so tough for us and still is.
I saw Simon's name and clicked . . . everything he says sooo resonates with me. I don't see myself as a "leader" but I am in many ways. I'm a mom and although my son is 20 years old he still looks to me to lead in many ways. I'm a leader in many ways, in my marriage and in our business in some areas. I'm a leader in friendships when friends look to me for guidance. I'm not alone in this . . . all of us are leaders in many aspects in life. It’s all about listening and creating a safe environment where people feel safe and dare to talk about what’s really going on and aren’t afraid to say yes to challenge because they trust you have their back. I have found that business owners are afraid to take care of their people because they worry that in doing so, their people will take advantage of them and get lazy. In my own business and coaching sessions, I am constantly amazed at how badly people want to devote themselves to your cause when you stick your neck out for them. People value loyalty, especially when it comes from the leader. Thanks for the interview Marie. Simon is one of my favorite.
I have always struggled with leadership because I just...hates what I assumed it was. "I'm not a leader, I'm a follower" that was my truth. I always put people first because that's what followers do, but I didn't connect the thought that Leaders ARE followers. They follow their why, and that why must be in line with helping their peers and prioritizing their needs above all other things. Real dope discussion!

I am so blessed by this young man insight. Tears were coming down my eyes. I can remember in 2016- through 19 I had to deal with cruel leadership in a church where I served as an Associate Pastor. Just arrived in the US, I was called upon to serve as AP which I accepted. My wife and I having our little son diagnosed with autism and just lost a pregnancy which, this multi-million dollar church could only offer me $300 a month as allowance while the lead pastor took thousands of dollars home every month plus other great packages. A year later my wife gave birth to our second son. The $300 did not change. I had to buy diapers, provide food, pay rent and clothe my family. I end up riding Uber both night and day while going to serve the position 2 times morning and evening each day. Cruel leaders will go to hell speedily. At times I don't even see my family and sit for quite 4hrs in a week. At the end of my tenure they couldn't even be grateful of my services but God did. I ended up resigning from that church. And God began great works in me because I served him genuinely.
Simon is an example of a visionary leadership, which inspire all of those in the same field and an awakening for those leadership who has a wrong concept.
Hi Marie and Simon, one of the greatest Insight is about : leadership is not about taking charge. its about taking care of those in your charge. it is leaders' responsibility to take care of people and make them feel safe. There is also a book that says " Managers are everywhere, leaders arent many. " what defines and set Leaders and Managers apart? Looking forward to learn from a clip on that. Being in a developed bustling city like Singapore, Management skills seem to be more talked about than Leadership skills. Thank you once again for the great video! Those who do good to another who render their services who are kind generous loving without any thought of appreciation of thanks of return. One might think that such a person is on the losing end but he derives pleasure from it. A kind of pleasure that cannot be compared with the pleasure of the one who only has his own interest in mind This to me is just another way of how great leaders can inspire. My fav Marie video ever! Simon is awesome ... I can't get enough. As a small business with only a handful of employees, I work hard to implement his philosophy. I can see the positive effects on all but ONE. One employee relocated for this job having told me he had the experience needed. Turns out he doesn't ... but I have persevered, spending countless hours training him for a job that was supposed to free up my time to focus on growing my business (but now I am spending time on training him day in and day out). I try to charitable. He has a family to support. But my stress levels have gone up, not down since hiring him (and it's affecting the morale of other employees too).
As a co owner of a business I thought my main focus was taking care of customers, but after this interview, I realize my main focus is also to look out for the welfare of our employees. I think I do a pretty good job, but this makes me more aware of the fact that I need to make sure I'm always looking out for them first. I'm pretty sure they know I care.
You've helped me realize that I am a natural leader, and to feel more comfortable with the new opportunities coming my way right now to step into my magnificence!

I loved the ideas of leadership being "taking care of others in your charge" and creating a daily practice of leadership. That daily practice is basically the same concept as paying it forward. What a world we would live in if everyone practiced being a leader everyday.
Even though I watched, I beileve, 5 or 6 of your intereviews this morning...THIS ONE! Holy Holy. "As a Leader I am no longer responsible for the results, I am responsible for the people who are responsible for results...." This stopped by mind (thankfully) for a moment. It really leading from your heart...a great leader thinks, speaks and acts through his or her heart...understanding human being as the magnificent creation of God, having heart and soul...not a machine...
Listening to him talk about his experience in a military environment, it hit home to me. After living & working in military bases in Japan, Bahrain & Iceland, I returned to the US with no expectation, but ready to face new experiences. Little did I know, I will feel alienated in the real world, and even after over 10 years in the same firm, It seems I don't feel I don't fit in, although my work is fulfilling, but there seems to be something lacking. I often think, what I feel is probably felt by the thousand men & women who return home from working overseas. I guess that's why I like his talks, he truly understand what's truly happening in the workplaces environment. He talks about the most simple & most complex issues. Thanks for posting!!!!
Agree with Simon's understanding that leaders need to take care of, nurture the people, coach and create the condition for safety at work/company. Thank you for an incredible understanding of uncomfortable situations and environments I've experienced and ideas of things I can do to change my environments today. After reading the book and watching lots of videos with Simon, today his words stuck! Being the CEO or the Owner in my case doesn't mean you are the leader of the company; it means you are the leader of the people within. You job is to make the feel safe and confident so that they excel in their space. You may still deal with the clients or have other roles that you certainly always do your best at, but the focus should be on your people. As the leader I have always felt like I was doing it right, but I now see what I was not doing enough of. Thank you.
So many delicious fruits (points) to choose from; each being better than the last. One I will choose is the notion that we call someone leader not because they're in charge but because they went first. Too many people on power trips and pulling rank to grind out results. Rather, inspire people and pull them along to accomplish worthy goals. Also, I love the fact that they both allude to the notion that we are all leaders - at any level and any position. If we all lead well, we would truly have a great society. Blessings to all.
I'm impressed by Simon Sinek's perspective on leadership and by his experiences that he shared. I like his perception of leadership. However, I would like to add two counter points. 1. Sometimes keeping record of what you do well and your successes is for tracking your own personal growth, like keeping a journal, and not to protect yourself from a shaky environment. 2. He made a point that went past very fast that needs to be considered more deeply. It's been my experience and observation that some people are so self-centered and self-absorbed that now matter how supportive the environment is, they won't respond with more and better work, rising to the challenge. Instead, they will continue to do the minimum they can get away with. One such employee was even shocked when his boss was finally forced to let him go after frequent warnings to start working and stop sitting at his desk playing games. Simon did point out that this supportive environment doesn't rule out maintaining discipline in the workplace. While you operate from the heart, you must hold people accountable and, when they don't respond, cut them loose to go learn somewhere else. Such action will actually improve morale because the other employees notice when someone is a flake.
I want to work with you mr Simon , I want to work under your leadership, work in organization like that ( your why ) , work in safe and literary " safe environment " , because I want to wake up every morning with excitement to go to work , I want people like you in every organization. I got ready to skip this video when the notice showed up in my email. When I hear the word "leadership" I cringe or at least I did before watching this. I get it now and realize I'd been shying away from assuming leadership roles because I had the misconception of what it meant. The whole idea of leadership being what you do within your sphere of influence to care for and promote growth in others...the light bulb came on. Adding this one to the list of videos I'll watch again and again.
Dana Myles i do something along the lines lf what simon sinek hopes to catch on. im a business executive councler and the biggest thing i preach is your subordonates want a mentor not a manager, the closer youre able to connect to people the more people are willing to do things for you, so basically its my job to teach people how to treat people like people. after serving in the military this is the most fulfilling thing i have ever done in my short time of life. you have what it takes to be a leader, everyone does but it is a choice with a plethora of responsibility.
Thank you, Richard - we need counselors like you. You reminded me about the best boss I ever had, who offered to be my mentor - a rare leader and wonderful human being. We worked together for only 4 months. He died 3 days before 9/11 in a freak accident.

I'm on the verge of tears a couple of times throughout this interview because it resonates so much with me. In understand better now why I feel the way I do at my current work environment.
I love Simon's way of expressing his thoughts and ideas. His speaking style shows that his is passionate about the topic. I don't know if that is something that can be taught, a skill to develop, or it comes out naturally out of his passion about the topic. In either case, I wish all of our leaders speak like him.
This video came to me at just the right time!!! This has been so helpful for me to look at in my solo-prenuer business and my own family but most importantly in my life right now, I realize that the stress and tension that's been happening in the 4-H club that I've been General Leader of for 14 years is partly due to my poor leadership! Awesome thoughts and practices to implement as I strive to help build strong leaders in our youth through 4-H, not to mention my faith formation students and co-teachers at church..... This was amazing. The biggest moment that I am taking out of this video is when Simon said, "I want to serve and help those who are serving others." It reminded me that what I have wanted to do my entire life is help people. I keep losing sight of that through my anxiety but that is truly what I want to do. Thank you so much you two.
Maybe you would enjoy what we have done. One thing we did last year is to help about ten thousand people overseas and their was about eighty-five of us. There are so many different ways to help it's not all about money. Time, energy, encouragement, patience, training, learning, and much more. Are many different ways to help others, help those helping others, and it helps you.

To this day, I have failed to share Simon’s Book, “Start with Why” with the people I value in my life. Clearly, this has to change for I want to retain these valued relationships. I'm so greatfull that I'm alive. My father was a Marine in one of the most devastating battles in Iwo Jima. in World War 2. A total of 20,7000 men were killed. Like Simon said,there's a certain comroderie in the military. Many Marines died to save others of there brethren.That's the true story of how the Marines bond together with there fellow Marines.
Loved this video. Feel like Simon just nailed it! My thoughts on leadership were scattered before, although I intuitively knew it was way different from telling people what to do and wielding authority like a weapon. Simon put it into words I could get 100% when he said, leaders aren't the people in charge, they are the people taking care of the ones in their charge (note -- my memory on the wording may be a little off). He further got it soooo right in saying that you can only lead people, not lead a company. Now I know that leaders are the ones who step up to go first, take care of others around them, and create the environments that everyone needs (i.e. that the teams need, if at work) to be successful. Love also that he explained that feeling safe (which is tied to trusting leaders to take care of them and create safe environments) is a necessary part of being successful. He is correct in saying that people will put their sweat and tears behind leaders who are taking care of them, going first, and leading them to take care of others because I've experienced this when a work group was helping truly worthy non-profit org's (lots of oxytocin there!), but just couldn't explain why the people were being so awesome. We all can be leaders, with or without the official stamps. I appreciate Simon's saying that the position (the "stamp"), is just a matter of scale. I'd like to get my act together and know how to positively impact others before my actions go any larger in scale. :) Thanks! :)

Asked to choose the ONE thing that impacted me the most, it's that his discovery of the value of WHY came from his pain. I didn't know that. I've been trying to create impact through my strengths, and this awareness directs me to find the gems I've not mined from my pain. Mario and Simon, thank you both for your leadership.

Love Simon! Great episode. Thank you. It’s not about me. Nobody gets anything done in a vacuum. I learned a while back management is hierarchical. People respond to managers based on rules. But true leadership can only be an attractive influence based on trust. Very different roles. Both necessary, but fundamentally different. Simon describes this beautifully. Thanks again.

I ordered this book yesterday afteristenong to a few of his videos, and I can't wait to read it. The crazy thing is, this isn't necessarily new information, but the way he delivers it just opened my eyes in a new way. For me, I replace the word "leader's with 'parent," and "organization" with "family," and other see where I have needed improvement in front of me as a mother. But it makes sense in a whole new way.
I'm watching now. At the 13min plus mark I cry. Wow! Omg! My father was in WW2. Fighter pilot. Before I was even thought of. But very profound story from Simon. Thanks Simon and Marie. xo

My biggest insight from this fantastic video is that to be a leader means going above and beyond with little things which when accumulated completely change the person doing them, affect those they touch positively & ultimately the overall environment with that of compassion, trust and excellence.

It’s all about listening and creating a safe environment where people feel safe and dare to talk about what’s really going on and aren’t afraid to say yes to challenge because they trust you have their back. I have found that business owners are afraid to take care of their people because they worry that in doing so, their people will take advantage of them and get lazy. In my own business and coaching sessions, I am constantly amazed at how badly people want to devote themselves to your cause when you stick your neck out for them. People value loyalty, especially when it comes from the leader. Thanks for the interview Marie. Simon is one of my favorite.
I have always struggled with leadership because I just...hates what I assumed it was. "I'm not a leader, I'm a follower" that was my truth. I always put people first because that's what followers do, but I didn't connect the thought that
Leaders ARE followers. They follow their why, and that why must be in line with helping their peers and prioritizing their needs above all other things.

I am so blessed by this young man insight. Tears were coming down my eyes. I can remember in 2016- through 19 I had to deal with cruel leadership in a church where I served as an Associate Pastor. Just arrived in the US, I was called upon to serve as AP which I accepted. My wife and I having our little son diagnosed with autism and just lost a pregnancy which, this multi-million dollar church could only offer me $300 a month as allowance while the lead pastor took thousands of dollars home every month plus other great packages. A year later my wife gave birth to our second son. The $300 did not change. I had to buy diapers, provide food, pay rent and clothe my family. I end up riding Uber both night and day while going to serve the position 2 times morning and evening each day. Cruel leaders will go to hell speedily. At times I don't even see my family and sit for quite 4hrs in a week. At the end of my tenure they couldn't even be grateful of my services but God did. I ended up resigning from that church. And God began great works in me because I served him genuinely.
Simon is an example of a visionary leadership, which inspire all of those in the same field and an awakening for those leadership who has a wrong concept.
I’m learning a lot with Simon about myself, use all my potential to take care my partners and sharing Simon’s speeches to inspire themselves too.

Hi Marie and Simon, one of the greatest Insight is about : leadership is not about taking charge. its about taking care of those in your charge. it is leaders' responsibility to take care of people and make them feel safe. There is also a book that says " Managers are everywhere, leaders arent many. " what defines and set Leaders and Managers apart? Looking forward to learn from a clip on that. Being in a developed bustling city like Singapore, Management skills seem to be more talked about than Leadership skills. Thank you once again for the great video! Those who do good to another who render their services who are kind generous loving without any thought of appreciation of thanks of return. One might think that such a person is on the losing end but he derives pleasure from it. A kind of pleasure that cannot be compared with the pleasure of the one who only has his own interest in mind This to me is just another way of how great leaders can inspire.

My fav Marie video ever! Simon is awesome ... I can't get enough. As a small business with only a handful of employees, I work hard to implement his philosophy. I can see the positive effects on all but ONE. One employee relocated for this job having told me he had the experience needed. Turns out he doesn't ... but I have persevered, spending countless hours training him for a job that was supposed to free up my time to focus on growing my business (but now I am spending time on training him day in and day out). I try to charitable. He has a family to support. But my stress levels have gone up, not down since hiring him (and it's affecting the morale of other employees too).
He is a great leader and we need a great leaders like him! in this world
As a co owner of a business I thought my main focus was taking care of customers, but after this interview, I realize my main focus is also to look out for the welfare of our employees. I think I do a pretty good job, but this makes me more aware of the fact that I need to make sure I'm always looking out for them first. I'm pretty sure they know I care.
You've helped me realize that I am a natural leader, and to feel more comfortable with the new opportunities coming my way right now to step into my magnificence!

I loved the ideas of leadership being "taking care of others in your charge" and creating a daily practice of leadership. That daily practice is basically the same concept as paying it forward. What a world we would live in if everyone practiced being a leader everyday.
Even though I watched, I beileve, 5 or 6 of your intereviews this morning...THIS ONE! Holy Holy. "As a Leader I am no longer responsible for the results, I am responsible for the people who are responsible for results...." This stopped by mind (thankfully) for a moment. Listening to him talk about his experience in a military environment, it hit home to me. After living & working in military bases in Japan, Bahrain & Iceland, I returned to the US with no expectation, but ready to face new experiences. Little did I know, I will feel alienated in the real world, and even after over 10 years in the same firm, It seems I don't feel I don't fit in, although my work is fulfilling, but there seems to be something lacking. I often think, what I feel is probably felt by the thousand men & women who return home from working overseas. I guess that's why I like his talks, he truly understand what's truly happening in the workplaces environment. He talks about the most simple & most complex issues. Thanks for posting!!!!
Agree with Simon's understanding that leaders need to take care of, nurture the people, coach and create the condition for safety at work/company. After reading the book and watching lots of videos with Simon, today his words stuck! Being the CEO or the Owner in my case doesn't mean you are the leader of the company; it means you are the leader of the people within. You job is to make the feel safe and confident so that they excel in their space. You may still deal with the clients or have other roles that you certainly always do your best at, but the focus should be on your people. As the leader I have always felt like I was doing it right, but I now see what I was not doing enough of. Thank you.
I love listening to this guy. He has huge appeal. I have never felt safe in all the environments I've worked in..
So many delicious fruits (points) to choose from; each being better than the last. One I will choose is the notion that we call someone leader not because they're in charge but because they went first. Too many people on power trips and pulling rank to grind out results. Rather, inspire people and pull them along to accomplish worthy goals. Also, I love the fact that they both allude to the notion that we are all leaders - at any level and any position. If we all lead well, we would truly have a great society. Blessings to all.

I'm impressed by Simon Sinek's perspective on leadership and by his experiences that he shared. I like his perception of leadership.
However, I would like to add two counter points.
1. Sometimes keeping record of what you do well and your successes is for tracking your own personal growth, like keeping a journal, and not to protect yourself from a shaky environment.
2. He made a point that went past very fast that needs to be considered more deeply. It's been my experience and observation that some people are so self-centered and self-absorbed that now matter how supportive the environment is, they won't respond with more and better work, rising to the challenge. Instead, they will continue to do the minimum they can get away with. One such employee was even shocked when his boss was finally forced to let him go after frequent warnings to start working and stop sitting at his desk playing games. Simon did point out that this supportive environment doesn't rule out maintaining discipline in the workplace. While you operate from the heart, you must hold people accountable and, when they don't respond, cut them loose to go learn somewhere else. Such action will actually improve morale because the other employees notice when someone is a flake.

I got ready to skip this video when the notice showed up in my email. When I hear the word "leadership" I cringe or at least I did before watching this. I get it now and realize I'd been shying away from assuming leadership roles because I had the misconception of what it meant. The whole idea of leadership being what you do within your sphere of influence to care for and promote growth in others...the light bulb came on. Adding this one to the list of videos I'll watch again and again.

Dana Myles i do something along the lines lf what simon sinek hopes to catch on. im a business executive councler and the biggest thing i preach is your subordonates want a mentor not a manager, the closer youre able to connect to people the more people are willing to do things for you, so basically its my job to teach people how to treat people like people. after serving in the military this is the most fulfilling thing i have ever done in my short time of life. you have what it takes to be a leader, everyone does but it is a choice with a plethora of responsibility.
Thank you, Richard - we need counselors like you. You reminded me about the best boss I ever had, who offered to be my mentor - a rare leader and wonderful human being. We worked together for only 4 months. He died 3 days before 9/11 in a freak accident.

I'm on the verge of tears a couple of times throughout this interview because it resonates so much with me. In understand better now why I feel the way I do at my current work environment.
I love Simon's way of expressing his thoughts and ideas. His speaking style shows that his is passionate about the topic. I don't know if that is something that can be taught, a skill to develop, or it comes out naturally out of his passion about the topic. In either case, I wish all of our leaders speak like him.
This video came to me at just the right time!!! This has been so helpful for me to look at in my solo-prenuer business and my own family but most importantly in my life right now, I realize that the stress and tension that's been happening in the 4-H club that I've been General Leader of for 14 years is partly due to my poor leadership! Awesome thoughts and practices to implement as I strive to help build strong leaders in our youth through 4-H, not to mention my faith formation students and co-teachers at church..... This was amazing. The biggest moment that I am taking out of this video is when Simon said, "I want to serve and help those who are serving others." It reminded me that what I have wanted to do my entire life is help people. I keep losing sight of that through my anxiety but that is truly what I want to do. Thank you so much you two.
Maybe you would enjoy what we have done. One thing we did last year is to help about ten thousand people overseas and their was about eighty-five of us. There are so many different ways to help it's not all about money. Time, energy, encouragement, patience, training, learning, and much more. Are many different ways to help others, help those helping others, and it helps you.

To this day, I have failed to share Simon’s Book, “Start with Why” with the people I value in my life. Clearly, this has to change for I want to retain these valued relationships. Simon’s book “Leaders Eat Last” is the next book on my audible book to acquire list.
I'm so greatfull that I'm alive. My father was a Marine in one of the most devastating battles in Iwo Jima. in World War 2. A total of 20,7000 men were killed. Like Simon said,there's a certain comroderie in the military. Many Marines died to save others of there brethren.That's the true story of how the Marines bond together with there fellow Marines.

Loved this video. Feel like Simon just nailed it! My thoughts on leadership were scattered before, although I intuitively knew it was way different from telling people what to do and wielding authority like a weapon. Simon put it into words I could get 100% when he said, leaders aren't the people in charge, they are the people taking care of the ones in their charge (note -- my memory on the wording may be a little off). He further got it soooo right in saying that you can only lead people, not lead a company. Now I know that leaders are the ones who step up to go first, take care of others around them, and create the environments that everyone needs (i.e. that the teams need, if at work) to be successful. Love also that he explained that feeling safe (which is tied to trusting leaders to take care of them and create safe environments) is a necessary part of being successful. He is correct in saying that people will put their sweat and tears behind leaders who are taking care of them, going first, and leading them to take care of others because I've experienced this when a work group was helping truly worthy non-profit org's (lots of oxytocin there!), but just couldn't explain why the people were being so awesome. We all can be leaders, with or without the official stamps. I appreciate Simon's saying that the position (the "stamp"), is just a matter of scale. I'd like to get my act together and know how to positively impact others before my actions go any larger in scale. :) Thanks! :)

Simon shared so much of value, I will re-listen to pull out the stuff I can use now. Asked to choose the ONE thing that impacted me the most, it's that his discovery of the value of WHY came from his pain. I didn't know that. I've been trying to create impact through my strengths, and this awareness directs me to find the gems I've not mined from my pain. Mario and Simon, thank you both for your leadership.

But true leadership can only be an attractive influence based on trust. Very different roles. Both necessary, but fundamentally different. Simon describes this beautifully. Thanks again.

I ordered this book yesterday afteristenong to a few of his videos, and I can't wait to read it. The crazy thing is, this isn't necessarily new information, but the way he delivers it just opened my eyes in a new way. For me, I replace the word "leader's with 'parent," and "organization" with "family," and other see where I have needed improvement in front of me as a mother. But it makes sense in a whole new way.
