Oh Jamie....thank you, thank, thank you for this!!!!!!!!!!!! You are SO dead right; I've been struggling as to WHICH Cricut to even get, or even IF I want one. 😕 And, do I dare take on the project of learning how to use it? But now, I am uber excited to get a "Joy"!! And trust me when I say, "I SO need some Joy in my life right now"!!!! Just one more reason I appreciate you 😉
OMG! I love my Cricut Joy! I purchased it about 2 years ago. I had seen it on a shopping channel and thought it would be the perfect thing to have in my crafting arsenal. I've made shirts and personalized items for the kids, but I mostly use it for cards. I have insert cards mostly, but I've been eyeing the cutaway cards and can't wait to try those. They also have a new machine that just came out recently: the Cricut Joy Xtra. It's a little bigger than the original, so it does larger projects. That's going to be my Christmas gift to myself this year! Thanks so much Jaime for sharing this! Have a wonderful weekend!
I bought the Cricut Joy about two years ago. I wanted to start off small in case I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Well, I love it! It is compact so it doesn’t take up much space. It is also portable so I can take it from one part of the house to another. Or even out of the house! I have made signs, cards and clothing. Maybe one day I will upgrade, but it suits me perfectly right now.
Thank you, Jamie! I'm a novice crafter who wants to expand her DIY universe slowly. I will definitely investigate the Cricut Joy! If they aren't sponsoring you, they need to do so immediately. You gave a very informative pitch for them!!😊
That plaid shirt looks great on you. I love it. I have a Cricut Maker n Joy. What I love about the Joy is I can use it in times like now that chemo is kicking my hind parts n I’m in bed. I will set it right on my bed n make cards n other things trying to keep busy so I don’t think so much. I really love my Joy. Have you gotten the new bigger Joy yet? I’d love to hear your opinion about it bc I trust what you say. I’m glad you are feeling better. Your eyes are twinkling again they were so weak looking. Love hugs n prayers sweet friend.
I use my cricut explore air 2 to make vinyl stencils that I use to do metal etching and glass etching.. I use a 24 inch matt when I have numerous items to get done at once. Love it
So you can make tshirts with cricut joy? I know it's compact doesn't take alot of room I'm still undecided on which cricut I want to purchase Love your videos cricut ones too
I have 6 or 7 machines---I have the personal, the imagine, the cake, the create, 2 or 3 expressions and over 200 cartridges----have not used any of it in at least 5 years----have never used the joy or create machines--oh, I also have the gypsy---thinking about selling it all together but not sure what to ask for the whole bundle
Hi Jamie. I have a question (it might sound silly but I think I want one)… I don’t have a computer or printer. It broke several years ago and I got my phone to basically replace the computer. So if cricut needs a computer or printer I would not be able to use it…
@@TheCraftyDIYGuy I’m really excited now. I will be purchasing one. Is this machine a good one for canvas (8x10, 11x14, small print too)? Please tell me your thoughts and opinions).
I purchased the Joy & it is out of the box & I have made a few things with it…it is a great machine for not a lot of money…my issue is that I’m still struggling with how to set up projects the way I want them & I don’t know who to go to to for help…for example, the lettering shows sideways on the canvas when I want it to show vertically… I don’t know how to correct that…pretty frustrating
I always thought that you needed a computer or another Cricut machine to use the Cricut Joy but after listening to you I’m not so sure any more. That’s the only Cricut machine that I have any hope of purchasing as in Australia they are $2 - $300 more than they are for you guys over there. Guessing it’s because of our greedy Government putting GST on everything, food included. It was meant to be 10% but it seems to be much more these days. So am I correct now I’m thinking if I purchase a Cricut Joy that’s it I can use it without a computer or a bigger Cricut machine. I hope you can get round to answering me Jamie as I was thinking about looking into the new Joy Extra or whatever it’s called. It looks awesome. I really want a Cricut machine so badly and I know I’d use it. I never thought I would but the more I see them the more I know I’d use it all the time.
Jamie this is my question, I won a Cricut it from a channel on RUclips it’s used that don’t matter what I want to know is can I download the Cricut design space for that Cricut.. That’s what has kept me from making anything because who owned that machine I didn’t know if it mattered or not? Thank you in advance my friend!!!
Not sure?! I don’t think it should matter. Create your own design Space account and connect via WiFi or hardwire. Your machine will get recognized that way!

BTW, I love that red Buffalo Check shirt on you ♡♡♡
I love my Joy. I also have an Explore Air 2 and a Maker that I really enjoy but to make cards and smaller things it’s the Joy I go to.

You don’t need a printer because the machine is a cutter (printer) and you can use your phone!
