    In my country, we dont use GMO soys. All soy protein isolate is made with non-GMO soys. I have been drinking soy milk for more than 10years and soy protein isolate for more than a year on a regular basis and i have never felt more womanly or having any pain or indigestion issues. Soy protein isolate is also naturally rich in bioflavonoids which whey or casein powder are missing. It aids in preventing cardiovascular disease or brain degenerative disease. In China and japan people have been drinking soy milk for thousands of years without any report of man turning more womanly due to controversial “estrogen” effect. As for anti-nutrient phytic acid, asians had already developed many different fermentation techniques to remove that ages ago. Phytoestrogen and phytic acid is a naturally occurring compound in most grain and plant products to prevent insects and animals from eating them. Flax seed and brown rice are some example of that and it had way more phytic acid content compared to soy but nobody seems to mention about them when consuming somehow.

    If soy were to significantly decrease testostoene, one might expect to observe a difference between a Japanese man in Japan, where soy consumption is 50 to 60 times higher, and a Japanese-American man in the US. However, such a difference is not observed.

    • @themeowinn4164
      @themeowinn4164 9 месяцев назад

      Right, but there's real evidence that if you eat over 400g of soy isolate based products (tofu, tempe, etc) youll be in trouble, the estrogen is real. So assuming you are eating a block of tofu, in order for you to reach the estrogen side effect, youll have to eat 5 big blocks per day. Now one 100g block is made around 50-80g soy isolate. Therefore, tho the Japanese eat soy products everyday but.. The research shows that they have never exceeded the daily limited amount which is roughly 150mg. Eat with caution with you are a gym rat, needing protein at most, you should really incorporate the other seed, but protein sources.

    • @kentokyo
      @kentokyo 9 месяцев назад

      @@themeowinn4164 I agree.
      As I mentioned, the average Japanese consume 50-60 times more soy products than average Americans, but that doesn't seem to exceed a problematic level. So, I often wonder, why are Americans so worried about eating such a little amount of soy product.

    I am a female in my mid 70es, on a plant based diet for health reasons, and I do use soy all the time in the form of tofu, edamame, tempeh and soy milk, but I only buy organic non GMO soy products. Soy is not bad for you, it is getting a bad rap for some reason, it helps older women with bone health and it is an excellent source of protein for vegans and vegetarians alike. I don’t think that people in Japan, Korea, China and other asian countries would eat soy on a regular basis if soy was bad for you, they all would be sick if that was the case! The Japanese language has no word for menopause, it doesn’t exist because of the high consumption of soy products there that protects women from hot flashes and other menopause symptoms that women in the western world experience. Soy also protects women’s hearts in particular. I am talking about soy products here that are made out of whole soy beans and not soy isolate which is not good for you and Whey Isolate is not healthy either, people need to realize that all this pre-made ready to eat genetically engineered garbage is loaded with tons of fats and other junk. Take the time and prepare your meals from scratch with whole foods that are actually good for your body, it will make a huge difference, it’s not that hard or time consuming as people think! I am on no meds which is unusual for my age and I contribute that to my way of eating and I do still exercise and stay active.

      Becareful for what he said.
      1) he said most bean(95%) are GMO and have glyphosate that half true when this video release and have very less law to control it however after 2018 there are many law to control glyphosate and now it's banned from my country and might be banned from your country too
      and even the soy protein isolate is from glyphosate bean it still very hard that glyphosate will contaminate in it cause the process to make the protein powder gonna cut glyphosate away
      2) He said soy protein isolate is hard to digest cause it's not fermented yet it's half true either for me to make protein lsolate the protein have to face lot of heat that can denature the protein also it's like emulsion already when you drink that make it more surface to face enzyme so it might hard to digest compare to tofu but compare to meat or milk it even eazier to digest

After switching to a lower-carb diet, cutting out sugar, processed food & simple carbs, my fatigue & has basically disappeared in a matter of months, I'm finding that a lot of my health issues were actually caused by Insulin Resistance (diabetes runs in my family) & chronic inflammation.

How are they alike and different? Did you ever recommend that your patients (past) incorporate either into their diets? Are there any detrimental effects of either, to be concerned about? I guessed it :-) I am vegan and I definitely don't have any isolate soy protein (or vegan junk food). Dr Mcdougall said that this stuff actually raises the IGF-1 much more than milk or other animal products does. IGF-1 is a growth hormone and as we get older, these levels generally need to come down to prevent cancer from growing. Generally a vegan diet lowers these levels the most. However, if somebody has isolate soy protein, then their levels will be high.
    Tofu, miso, and tempeh or fine, but this stuff definitely is bad.
    thanks Dr. Berg you are awesome!

    Dr. Berg changed my health too, thank you Dr. Berg! May I just clarify that tofu isn't made from fermented soybean, in other words, there is no fermentation involved in the process of making tofu. I had been eating tofu all my life, I used to enjoy it so much and so did my whole family and kids. At the same time, we couldn't understand why despite eating heavily plant products, whole foods cooked from scratch but our health was so poor?!. We haven't eaten tofu for several years , it was so hard to give it up!!!, but now eating mostly animal products, eggs, dairy, some plants. We haven't been sick for several years. I am all for keto animal based way of eating, and no tofu or soy and no longer crave them.

    Truth. Soy isolate protein powders (and whey powders) initiated and caused deep cystic acne on my face. I took it for years and never made the connection to soy protein isolates and my health or the onset of my horrific battle with deep cystic acne. I was aged 35 so I was really confused about this adult acne which I never experienced before, not even as a teenager. I went to dermatologist, took all of the prescriptions, all of the expensive Rx creams, nothing really cleared it. Once I stopped the protein powders, it took 3 months to get all of the soy isolates out of my system, and my skin cleared up in 3-4 months. Never ever had a single cyst or acne ever since. That was 10 years ago, not a single pimple since. Thank you Dr Berg for sharing truths.
