    This limited-edition, modern re-interpretation of the 1968 Diver’s watch is inspired by both Japan’s first hi-beat one-piece Diver’s watch created by Seiko as well as commemorating the 110th anniversary of Japan’s first wristwatch, as created by Seiko.
    The success of the 1968 Diver’s model laid the foundation for Seiko Diver’s watch development which for sixty years has innovated in wearable, precise watches for professional and recreational divers.
    This modern watch is powered by the new in-house Calibre 6R54 and is the first of Seiko’s diving watches with mechanical GMT functionality. Built for wearability: the bracelet fits comfortably due to its low centre of gravity and short-pitch - and durability: with a three-day power reserve and high-quality scratch resistant Japanese ceramic Diving scale, its water resistance is up to 200m.
    This design of this watch is inspired by the ice of Antarctica, expressing the accumulation of time - linking the Antarctic history of Seiko diver’s watches with the time it takes for a glacier to form into its beautiful structure. Its three-dimensional dial pattern and colour feature over 2,000 surfaces and have been designed to express the natural formations and pressure the glacier underwent during its long cooling period.
    The watch comes with both a bracelet and fabric NATO strap option - with the fabric strap being made 100% of recycled bottles.
    Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

    Just got mine. Lovely watch. The polish work is fantastic. Makes it look way more expensive.
    The dial just comes alive in day light under the sun. The bracelet could be better. But not a huge deal breaker. Got a great deal too. Overall - happy and satisfied. 😊

    Hi again Barry, I saw a black dial version of this at my local AD recently, and I was pleasantly surprised. So, I agree: it's a great watch. This blue dial edition is the real business though. Thanks Barry, cheers, Bob 👍🍻

    I have this MM200 watch in green without GMT hand (SPB207) for 2 years and the finishing (including some Zeiretsu) is superb and looks/feels very much like a Submariner, and 3 day reserve was convenient since I was splitting time between it and an Oris Aquis and CW Bronze. My bezel even lined up since I bought it from AD store. My only issue was accuracy compared to SW 28800 movements in Oris/CW. For 1700 quid (or whatever price is) I need a more accurate watch. But if I can get this for $1200ish I would go for the SPB381 green.

      If U bought this watch,. U will realise it's more accurate than 6R35. I own one & It's accuracy is better than other mm200. I've tested on time grapher. Maybe because it's the new movement from seiko. Very satisfied with it

      @ClickSpringReview  10 месяцев назад

      @@Apex_Apeq Unfortunately I still found Seiko hit and miss when it comes to accuracy, this one was great but so I find aren't so good ,
      The problem is Seiko make way over million watches a years and have more LE models than any other brand with around 2 models released every week of the year ,so QC is going to be hard to hit every time.

      Dont buy a seiko. It's a disposable waste of money. You can do better than a misaligned bezel and a movement that can be -150 seconds per day.....they're garbage. All it will do is make you need another watch and you'll forever know that you're wearing a seiko. You can do better.

    The 6R54 movement seems to have MUCH better quality control than the 6R35 and the 6R15 movements. I am still a bit torn between the limited edition and the green color.

    Green one is a stunner but at that price the new limited edition Sharp Edge GMT Mount Fuji with navy dial and ceramic bezel is a True GMT vs this office GMT. I have the white anniversary dial which impressed my Grand Seiko AD as we compared it to the HBeat Peacock blue I'm considering. Hard to choose one between the Spring Drive cherry blossom, white birch, the HiBeats. The dial color variaties are incredible and you can actually buy them.... I've given up on Rolex for good. Especially after reading the legal complaint filed in Chicago against one of the oldest ADs in the state.

      @ClickSpringReview  Год назад

      Ive not read about the complaint Sir I may have to check that out , Since I've been studying watch making at University and now serving watching for a company. I really do like Rolex movements they are so will made and a joy to work on , Given the choice I'd take the Hi-Beat every day of the week over a Spring Drive,
      I had a Spring Drive Chrono once and it stop working ,even now as a watchmaker I wouldn't be able to fix it but the Hi-Beat no problem

    • @porscheoscar

      @@ClickSpringReview the Financial Times article written by Jeff Maysh about the lawsuit is the most revealing about the state of affairs in the world of buying Rolex. It explained so much about these crazy shortages yet every day miraculously some AD rings you up with a new watch for sale like it appeared as mana from Heaven from Saint Peter. And to think the Italians get a bad rap about selling Ferraris this way. This is far worse.
      Interesting question about Grand Seiko Spring Drive which I also asked the dealer. What do you do when it breaks? The rep repeated the standard response regarding matching the Rolex 5 year warranty which is pretty good considering. Patek and AP offer only 2 years with the purchase price. You have to pay extra for more time. At any rate the rep who also is authorized for Cartier, Bulgari, Biver, IWC, Breitling told me that "we get watches in every day for repair or service but I've yet to see a Grand Seiko in for more than just the standard 3-4 servicing". Which being a mechanical hybrid watch made sense to me because like a hybrid Prius the mechanical part of the engine will do significantly less work over the lifespan since considerable weight is being lifted by the electronic side of the equation. But of course people thrash their watches about and into doorknobs.

      @@porscheoscar Thats interesting, I was lucky enough to own a new AP of shore diver once and it was a pile of crap problem with the crown first and bracelet so had to back to AP in the first week next time keeping 13s per day so sent back again , They got the time keeping down to 9s a day so I sent it back , they said thats good enough as watches are not COSC rated , I traded it in for a Rolex and cash the Rolex was good for a .5s a day . We had a AP come into the shop the other day for a dealer want to check it was real , We found a small bit fibre in then movement and time keeping was bad but yes it was a real AP
