Been wearing a 1st gen Black Monster as my work watch since 02. This watch has been on my wrist every single day I've gone to work. 21 yrs old and still going strong. It's beat up, scratched and the black paint wore off the bezel years ago. Still keeps good time, the lume is still bright and never been serviced. I bought it as a gift to myself when I became a LEO. I retire in 4 yrs and I'm hoping it lasts until then. So happy to see it on your list.
Was lucky enough to find a second hand mini turtle for an absolute steal earlier this year and I couldn't be happier with it. Glad to see it finally get a mention in one of your videos, never understood why it never got the attention it truly deserves.
King Samurai Manta Ray is one of the best looking dials I have seen. The Manta Ray's swimming under the shimmering sea look is amazing. Ditch the bracelet for the blue strap of your choice. This can't be beat for the $.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Great info as always Teddy! I’ve been collecting and wearing Seiko watches since the early ‘70’s. Among my collection are a Capt. Willard, Pogue, Australian Pogue, Kakume, and several others.
Great overview and selection. Was glad to see you mention the 38.5mm Solar Diver right off the bat. I agree it is by far one of the most underrated Prospex divers right now. Mine is a close 2nd diver to my SPB143 and was my first choice to wear for a week while vacationing on MV last month. Great looks, great proportion on my 6.5" wrist, incredible value for what it is. It's always ready to go even after days/weeks without any wrist time, no need to keep on a winder.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
the 38.5mm solar diver is the only one worth buying,, even then my sne569 is crazy misaligned on the applied indices, particularly the 12 and 6 o’clock
Sbbn tuna is incredible. Quartz with 5 years of battery life. Still wearing a year 2001, sbbn007. First batch without the marinemaster wordings. A much more plain dial than the current ones.
4:18 Correction: pretty sure the watch has a "sudden ascent alarm" instead of a "sudden descent alarm". While diving, rapid ascents are much more dangerous since the sudden pressure reduction can induce "decompression sickness" aka "the bends".
Hi @TeddyBaldassarre, what do u think of SPB317 compared to SRPE93? I think they both looks great in term of shape and size. What do u think i should go for a 6.5" wrist?
The Lux collection are basically 'desk divers', the sort of watches you can get away with wearing in a formal environment, office, etc. The others are 'true' divers.
The Lux watches are true divers in all respects. The diff is the fit and finish and the movements. The SLA and SNR watches are closer to Grand Seiko than Seiko!
Hi Teddy love your reviews, they are so helpful while choosing a watch. But I am just can't decide between Seiko SPB155J1 and Hamilton H70455133. Help. My wrist size is 6.25
My watch says SEIKO Air Diver Special Edition PADI Sapphire Crystal , but you didn't mention it...do you know what it is? Hint: It's a GMT, has buckets of lume, is a tuna, and I literally have never unscrewed the crown in the 7 years I have owned it. Note: It is 4 minutes 11 seconds fast at the moment and the date is always wrong because I have never set the date or time. Any guesses?
not gonna lie, all these watches from Seiko are beautiful. but I really wanna ask the collectors a question, be honest with me: do any of y'all actually dive at all? hahah diver watches look great aesthetically but to me it always felt like a useless feature to brag about. probably because I don't dive around frequently.
Yeah I dive. But honestly, whenever I dive I wear a special "dive computer" that has advanced functions so a "dive watch" isn't strictly necessary -- except maybe as another backup / reminder of the planned dive time limit.
I’m only about 4 years into my watch journey, and seikos were the first watches that truly spoke to me. I only have one, but I hope to have most of the one you just mentioned eventually. I think the white dial king samurai or a save the ocean sumo are my next seiko purchase. Thanks for the break down Tedddy!
I would love to own a Marinemaster 300 despite having a 6.5 inch wrist. I currently own a King Samurai and an Orient Triton which wears ok given my wrist size. The Slim Willard is probably going to be my next Seiko purchase, classic cushion case design and much more wearable for people like me.
I own 3 Seiko divers, an Orange Samurai, Save the oceans Great White Shark(Samurai)with blue Seiko dive strap and a Pepsi Sumo. I use the the Great White Shark when I go snorkeling/ diving as I live in Florida and it has never let me down.Always clean your watch with fresh water when you surface. For me its Samurai and Sumo over Turtle. That spring drive diver makes no sense to me.
I was gifted a Seiko Prospex MarineMaster 300m Tuna SBBN033, and it's my favorite hard use watch. I have owned Rolex Sub, Rolex GMT II and Daytona, Omega Planet Ocean, and Speedmaster Professional, but the Seiko Tuna has the best lume, lightest weight, and very tough. I bought an Arnie and it was defective. Returned it the next day and got another one. That was defective. Couldn't believe two defective Arnies in a row. They're made in China, so no wonder they're not real Seiko quality. I used to hsve an SKX 200m blue and red bezel but in quartz. I wanted to get another one but not made anymore and i dinr want an auto in that line. The auto movement is rugged but not very accurate. Meh
Thanks for the post, Teddy. This is an excellent selection of Seiko watches. You've done a great job of summarizing what Seiko divers are all about. Way too many watches in their catalog, but you've selected very relevant watches. Great video. ❤
My favorite Seiko divers are any of the MM200/300 models. The case is just amazing, and they have some great dials. Really like the new GMT SPB385. Agree with you on the Arnie, it wears nowhere near 48mm. I can pull it off easily on my 7.3in wrist, and is a super fun watch
Nice to see several of my collection favorites in here! The Monster is not the most attractive but for function I think it has the best bezel action of any Seiko I have seen.
Ive been wearing my dad’s 6105-8000 for donkeys years. Got me into watches and Seiko. Added a Srp773 to the collection so I could actually swim and surf with a similar watch on as I would never with a 54 year old watch. His dad bought it on the Navy Exchange in Hawaii in 1970 for my dads 18th birthday and it is one of my only connections to him as we never got to meet. Very special. It’s had sapphire put in it but I still wear it on a relics waffle strap and I’m glad it was built to last!
I keep teetering on buying my first Seiko and it’ll undoubtedly be a diver. Always been a huge Citizen fanboy but as my joy and fulfillment have grown with my watch collecting it’s time to cross the road and be a fanboy over there too. I’m a bug dude, 6’4” with wrists barely under 8” so I keep getting hung up on the Arnie.
Seiko "nerds"? Lol. Seikopath is the preferred nomenclature, Sir. Fun video, thanks. Surprised you skipped over the SLA models with the 8L35 movements (an older Grand Seiko movement, modified to drive the larger dive hands), as those are my very favorite models thus far.
Yes other than the old discontinued marinemaster, no mention of the current X dial mm300s, 62mas, or willard reissues in the SLA lineup. Ah well, pretty well done video nonetheless ❤❤❤
Hello Teddy! Nice and informative for Seikos' Prospex diver watches, hopefully you can talk about the Zimbe line such as Thanos and many more interesting watches.
This is the first time I'm seeing the "Slim Willard", and since I'm looking to add a dive watch on my collection, that's gonna be my go-to. Love the case, love the dial, and love the date windo is kinda tucked between 4 and 5. Thank you Teddy!
My solardiver does +1s/month. My wrist is slim, I love the diver functionality. Got 8... or sth watches... the solar the only one that dosn't get put away, ever.
Bought second hand SPB143 2 days ago. It Has one year but is late about 60 sec/day. I love the design and quality but Seiko should definetly worki on 6r35 movement. Not only they vary a lot in every watch but they are usually not accurate. I have the same movement on my other Seiko. Sometimes its too fast, sometimes too slow, sometimes accurate. Sometimes 5s, sometimes 20, sometimes 30. But 60 sec/day in my SPB143 was too much. It was 2 minutes slow after about 45h. Gave it to authorised service today and I hope it will be fixed under warrancy
Yet they wear extremely well for the diameter. Arnie is 48mm diameter, but looks great on my 7inch wrist. Turtle, samurai, SKX, monster, and some tuna variants are smaller wearing still and SNE, SKX013, mini turtle are options for small wrists. I'd argue 42mm on a diver is basically equivalent to 40mm on a regular watch (due to bezel), which is considered pretty standard size.

Something about the Mini Turtle I love. Perfect size and the magnifier doesbt bother me at all since there's no day of the week. 4R movents fine, just have have it regulated.
I bought this popular video watch from MaMaCoo , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
I daily (and love) an SKX007, but I would now like a diver with better build quality and accuracy, any recommendations under £1000? I'm after something the same or slightly larger dimensions and a ceramic bezel would be nice. I'm not a fan of the turtle shape.
Been wearing a 1st gen Black Monster as my work watch since 02. This watch has been on my wrist every single day I've gone to work. 21 yrs old and still going strong. And the chance of it being aligned properly is higher
Same for my ‘05 Orange Monster. Not one service. What a beast!
The turtle case shape is so cool and so definitely Seiko. Also the cutout for the strap is straight, so there are no gaps from strap to case.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
One can NEVER go wrong making Seiko diver videos.
Love the spb143 . I started my watch journey with it as my first mechanical watch .
Me too, but I opted for the 213 which has the silver/white dial.
a great starter. i love mine too.
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I’ve been wearing an SKX009 since 2018 and have zero desire to get another Seiko. They make such great watches that one is all I need.
Great info as always Teddy! I’ve been collecting and wearing Seiko watches since the early ‘70’s. Among my collection are a Capt. Willard, Pogue, Australian Pogue, Kakume, and several others.
I cannot imagine spending 6k on a seiko and I am a seiko fan lol
This is probably why most luxury brands do not make affordable versions of their watches.
I spent $2000 on my quartz SBBN021.
@@ProdicalManalso crazy 🤦🏻♂️
We’ll get out of your bubble I was like that then spent 6k on seiko high ends they best sleeper watches
Quality will be way above a similar priced Omega in my opinion.

I have not imagine that SEIKO can offer so many diver's watches . My fav watche is the ( Diver + GMT ) one (SPB385) . Thank you TEDDY .
Theres a small typo on the spec screen for the Monster - SPRD25 instead of SRPD25, but other than that another awesome video!
I got a green sumo spb103 as a gift from my wife for my birthday. It has not come off my wrist since.
the 38.5mm solar diver is the only one worth buying,, even then my sne569 is crazy misaligned on the applied indices, particularly the 12 and 6 o’clock
Teddy, I absolutely loved this. Bravo. Chapeau. Thanks so much for the great content
I do like the Large Seiko's and I'm saddened to know that the Monster and the baby tuna are discontinued..
Great watchei that can last a lifetime.
Love to see this list. I own the last watch, and it is delightful! I love the classic, vintage look and feel
So nice to see the monster make an appearance on here!!
Sbbn tuna is incredible. Quartz with 5 years of battery life. Still wearing a year 2001, sbbn007. First batch without the marinemaster wordings. A much more plain dial than the current ones.
Great Seiko video. Very knowledgeable and technical
Can't wait for Teddy to review the new Seiko Alpinist GMT.
Wonderful video... thanks Teddy... i love this Seiko's
SPB317J1 is my favourite diver from Seiko
4:18 Correction: pretty sure the watch has a "sudden ascent alarm" instead of a "sudden descent alarm". While diving, rapid ascents are much more dangerous since the sudden pressure reduction can induce "decompression sickness" aka "the bends".
Dweeb
SPB333 is just beautiful 😮
Great video! What ever happened to the Seiko Sportura and kenetic watches in general?
Great overview, what are your thoughts on the Seiko Prospex Special Edition PADI SPB071J1?
Love my Arnie, I just need to hit the gym to be worthy of it
The baby marine master is the best value for money diver really underrated
Hope you do a similar video for Citizen
I’ve had my SNE for months already

Seiko 💯 💥 % factory I love this brand 🎉

Tuna and skx in my collection
Sudden “ descent “ alarm?
That would be an interesting an unusual feature;)
If you don’t dive … don’t talk about the features…
Seiko watch diver are the best of Seiko to me

I don't understand why the beautiful Samurai isn't loved but the hideously fatty Turtle is liked. 😮
“ Many nerds like Teddy”🤓
Hey Teddy why you didn't mention the Seiko SRPE33 or the SRPE39 Prospex Manta Ray ? Those are also divers rated . And excellent watches.
Personally I like the limited edition Black Collection
not gonna lie, all these watches from Seiko are beautiful.

Don't necessarily dive, but im always at the beach with my family and it's always on my wrist when i an there. Lol
Bozo, it’s about the way they look and the fact they’re rugged/hardy. You are an absolute fool
I think seiko is great but I can’t just over $1000…I don’t own a grand seiko for that reason as well.
I wouldn't call it the slim Willard I would call to swim Turtle personally
amzwatch watch are the best, I say this from experience.
Samurai and Turtle most comfortable
First watch with a spring drive was a Seiko, not a Grand Seiko. Seiko has been using them for over 20 years. They're not a GS thing and never were.
Seiko!
hmm yes skx007 and spb143..... another questıon??
Skx still overhyped.
Me watching the video with skx009 on the wrist: 🗿
Lucky owner of an SBBN021
My King Samurai is always on my wrist. Excellent watch, sapphire, ceramic, waffle face, looks great with everything.
ihave 2 dive watch that never failed me during my commercial diving, the Turtle and Tuna and still running. Love it.
I’m only about 4 years into my watch journey, and seikos were the first watches that truly spoke to me. I only have one, but I hope to have most of the one you just mentioned eventually. My parents just gifted me the SPB385 for my 21st birthday! I seriously love it, absolutely stunning dial!!!
I have a Solar PADI and I love it.
I will wear a 47.5 mm watch when my wrist will be Schwarzenegger’s size
Great video. I’ve been a SEIKO fan since 1991. Still have the 7002-7009 I joined the Army with. Just bought a King turtle.
Nice to see several of my collection favorites in here! The Monster is not the most attractive but for function I think it has the best bezel action of any Seiko I have seen.

The SRP773 i should add is bulletproof and much better on a nato than whatever it came with. It really shrinks it down and makes it so comfy.
Proud owner of a mini turtle with a jubilee bracelet. My first watch in my collection. Great video!
The Seiko MM300 is the perfect combination of ruggedness and beauty.
I’m begging you Seiko. Release a 1:1 original scale Seiko Arnie.
Is everyone wearing their Seikos while watching this? I’m wearing SNE573 the mini diver. I hope it’s one day known as the barnacle.
I keep teetering on buying my first Seiko and it’ll undoubtedly be a diver. I’m a bug dude, 6’4” with wrists barely under 8” so I keep getting hung up on the Arnie.
The only reason I prefer the Seiko turtle over the Seiko King turtle is that I can't stand the cyclops.

The more I see a Seiko, the more I want a Seiko
Great video Teddy. the vintage 6105-8000 slim case in my opinion is the nicest dive watch they’ve ever made.
This is the first time I'm seeing the "Slim Willard", and since I'm looking to add a dive watch on my collection, that's gonna be my go-to. Love the case, love the dial, and love the date windo is kinda tucked between 4 and 5. Thank you Teddy!

Sizes fo these watches sucks.... Everything above 42mm is too big for most hands....

I'd argue 42mm on a diver is basically equivalent to 40mm on a regular watch (due to bezel), which is considered pretty standard size.
At the $3.5k to $6k mark I’d rather see them compared directly to a similarly priced Grand Seiko.
As someone that only has seiko divers. This vid is a bible. Well done.
Missed a few must haves. 🧐.
can you please make a video based off of pricing and value received. Meaning at what price ranges should I expect to certain qualities in a watch.

SEIKO!!!!! Please stop the cyclops.....NO ONE LIKES IT!
I own and love a Turtle, but the step up in finishing in the Luxe line is really apparent the moment you handle one of those watches.
I daily (and love) an SKX007, but I would now like a diver with better build quality and accuracy, any recommendations under £1000? I'm after something the same or slightly larger dimensions and a ceramic bezel would be nice. I'm not a fan of the turtle shape.
