Steven Hoefgen Yes, he can
Steven Hoefgen I'm a big fan of the one and only spaceman Ace Frehley, but dude I can tell somethin, Thayer can write his own songs and own solos.. sometimes lol
Tommy once had to dress as Ace BEFORE he was an official member. Ace was running late and "the show must go on!" Also, Tommy supposedly had to help Ace on relearning licks from songs he hadn't played in a few years but, I still like Ace better!
5:16 Mr. Speed sounds so good here
It's like Ace and Eric are the house band for open mic night.
The only video I can find of ace playing mr speed
And he kills it!
Ace and Eric's faces during Rocket Ride are the greatest things ever
Ace completely took over!
He shut Paul off before he was done talking to start the song Parasite, he auditioned with. It went down hill from there 🤣🎸🤘
I wish they would do Mr. Speed live in full. That is one of my favorite KISS songs
AWESOME, Ace and Eric have fun. Great jam of great songs!
Ace Frehley us the only band member to have a successful career in music away from KISS who's the real bad ass not Gene or Paul
He's played with Gene's solo band on a couple of songs and just put out Space Man🤘
Gene : "What does the Ace Frehley band what to do next!?"
Ace : "Shut up Gene"
"Oh & hold my beer!"
Gene tries to punk Ace out on stage and Ace breaks into a song that neither Ace nor Paul EVER knew how to play. Love it! ACE IS GOD!!
I’d love to have seen this show. They sound like a cover band doing the 2:00am slot at some dive bar. Ace Frehley Band, indeed!
Ace is amazing! !!!!!!!
"Actually I'm a plumber"!
- Ace Frehley 🎸⚡⚡
Actually looks like they were having a bit of a fight amongst themselves. Ace took over!!!
That version of She was absolutely brilliant. Wooop!
Ace frehley RULES.
Ace was the true driving force that helped make Kiss one hell of a Rock band..
Never bite the hand that feeds you Gene
KISS was nothing without Ace
Of course
So true!!
nothing without ace, ace in the band 10 years. hmm 40 years later
Gene looks so pissed off🤣🤣🤣🤣
Finish him! ...Ace starts playing Rocket Ride... Ace wIns! Fatality!
THAT'S our Ace!! lol Showin' Simmons who's really BOSS!
Songs:
0:04 - Parasite
1:16 - New York Groove
1:41 - Strutter
3:02 - She
4:31 - Rocket Ride
5:15 - Mr. Speed
...
That should be their set list to start with now days
Gene, Paul, Ace, and Eric are extremely awesome in this they are bad assess
lol funny how ace started playing rocket ride and gene fucked it up so Paul comes to the rescue and shows him
New York Groove from Ace's '78 solo album. It was quite a hit then. The whole album is great, the best of the four and one of the best things ever bearing the Kiss logo on it.
ACE FREHLEY LEAD GUITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!
YEAH!!!!!!
OW HEY!
I want to see their relaxed live performances from beginning to end👀Atmosphere different from serious live.Ace's fun look is good💋🎸
the days Peter and Ace left were the death of KISS ... unreplaceable
I love the Ace Frehley Band!
I don't hate Tommy, not even close, but Ace... COME ON this guy is a God, the licks and the riffs and the solos just sound right, you know? Tommy can play them good but not as good as Ace, the guy just owns it. Eric is having the time of his life. I wish this line up was still til this day, best line up ever! And by the way, Mr. Speed riff is one of the most beautiful things I ever heard, so beautiful, so good
Also bless Paul for whipping out Mr. Speed! I have seen KISS quite a few times & have NEVER heard them play this great song live.
Ha! Why haven't I come across this clip earlier? Ace just starts on Parasite and Eric joins in- LOVE IT!
Ace playing Rocket Ride, the look on his face- BURRRRN GENE BURN!
Ace took the reigns! He jammed through the dry spot. Gene and Paul you guys are awesome. But give credit where credit is due! you don't knock Ace for taking that and running with it. That is one of the most awesome performances I have ever seen. Good job Ace!
I just wish that he had communicated the Rocket Ride stoppage for Eric, the way he did it wasn't intuitive at all. At 04:55 he could've looked at Eric and done the descending notes variation, holding on to the last one the way the song ends on the record (not counting the separate drum fills and licks after that).
Isn't it so hilarious when Gene runs his mouth to Ace...then Ace fires up a classic KISS song that Gene has no idea how to play anymore. Truly a classic video!!!😎🍻
Wow, three fourths of kiss
What does the Ace Frehley band wanna do next???? "Spit in Gene's coffee and lick his hamburger perhaps" 😂
Underrated lineup
