      Thanks.
I had a lot of fun creating Sparky.
I only wish I had the time to do level mods to put him in.
      Thanks for watching!

Tanks for watching! Poor Sparky got his head handed to him this time, good because that robot kinda scares me... 😉 At least it held its own in the end. Nice tank, I can't remember if the bathroom was here last time but I dig it. The whole thing gives me Duke 3D vibes, though that might have been the D3D posters? 😋 Good job yet again.

I find that the Cyber Demon tends to beat Sparky about 3 out of 4 times. But it depends on how much the robot spams its' opponent with rockets!
      Thanks for watching!

@@richardsalley9848 Sure. Lots of stuff that was new to me (as in that it could be done) the first time I watched old Sparky come to life. ;-) It has been a while but does Sparky look slightly different? Or is it just my memory failing. Probably the latter... ;-)

@@signaltome Yeah Sparky2 has a very different look.
The first robot was made with Milkshape 3D.
I re-made Sparky using Blender 2.91, which has many more tools than Milkshape 3D.

Looks very very nice. I havent touched gzdoom in the last 6 months but This makes me want to pick it up again. I need to finish getting all those 40k models in to gzdoom. And maybe even start doing some more models on my own. I did finish the predator tank and rhino though based of stl files I downloaded. And I did do my corona 3D monster completely from scratch but I think Id like to create more 3D stuff from scratch for GZDoom :D

I really like the bathoom, the cat and the added tank pack, let me know if you find a way to make all the tanks from the pack placeable in the editor. I prefer 3rd person 3D tanks like the ones in vietdoom though

Actually I do have the MK4 vehicles and Omni vehicles done for expansion packs. I spent months cleaning up the code for all the vehicles, and making some improvements to them.
And, I learned a lot about them as I did this. The problem, is that the files are too large for me to upload to Github for everyone else to download.
I might do a RUclips video on this though.
For now, since you asked about this, if you want the MK4 and Omni vehicle packs that I have re-mastered, send me your email, and I'll see if I can send you the files.
      Again, thanks for watching!

@@Entropic_Nightmares Yeah, it was interesting to see how just this little bit of a mod put so much stress on my computer! The md3 models in doom are very demanding!
I'm now actually looking into building a much better gaming computer, to do more of this in the future.
But, there's a bad chip shortage going on right now, and I just can't get a better graphics card for a fair price!
So, eventually I'll make a better computer, and perhaps do more with Doom modding.
Again, thanks for watching, and also if you'd like to download Sparky 2 or the entire mod, there's a link in the description. :-)

How did you animate md3 models for doom?

    • @richardsalley9848
      @richardsalley9848  2 года назад

The animations were done in Blender.
Then, there is Doom's Decorate and ModelDef files which are use to call up the model used and which animations to use.
