It’s was a small new studio so the game wasn’t voice-acted by a lot of people. She also gave life to the pale lurker, mantis lords, the seer and some enemies
He cut it out but there were like 20 tries on flukemarm

I can’t believe you managed to cut down basically the whole game into under an hour, and have it still feel like a complete experience. I am sad that the first ending and the White Palace were cut, though.
He also cut uumuu and traitor lord which are 2 pretty important bosses

yeah it seems kinda wild to me to cut out uumuu and white palace, but keep the dream fight with Lost Kin.
I think this would have been better if it were an extra video in length. In the first video, he really didn't get that far all things considered, but in this one he showed the entire rest of the game. If it were three videos instead of two, it would have left room for some of the other interesting things that I think were strange to cut.
He has other video of hollow knight. Is before this, getting the dash and the mantis claws
this is why i love this game, you took such a weird path to get to the ending yet the experience was still amazing
he cut out a few of the areas from the video, so it probably made more sense, but yeah crystal peak in late game is weird lol

also Nosk is in a pretty hidden place, I needed a guide to find out where to fight him, and I assume he did it guideless

I love the fact that when you see a cut during a boss and Eric is sudently quiet you instantly know that at least 20 tries passed
I was so confused when hornet showed up in the last fight because we didn’t see the stuff like the white palace that are needed to get the true ending at all. Would’ve loved seeing Eric’s reaction to different bosses attacks and patterns too. Glad that he loved the game though and I hope we get a couple videos of the pantheons, Grimm Troupe and of course, path of pain
He did do White Palace tho, but it seems to be cut. If you want I could tell you whether he did patheon, grimm and pop

got this game, played it for an hour and got bored immediately, started playing again a few months later just to try it out again, it is now my favorite game of all time. keep these hollow knight uploads coming!

@@finkergamer8557 lacks a use. Isn’t worth its weight. Better options. Grubsong isn’t any of these considering it’s very good effect and it’s incredibly low charm notch cost. It’s cheap, reusable and there is a point in using it.

there is no dlc to hollow knight, they were just updates to the game, unless you count updates as dlc

Hollow knight is one of my favorite games of all time but I was spoiled a bit when I first played so it’s really amazing to be able to rediscover this through Pointcrow !

are you telling me that he edited out both the dung defender and Ummuu fight? I could get over that but the fact that he also edited out the abyss cutscene where you obtain the void heart baffles me. That's one of the most important moments in the game's story!
Edit: I just realized he edited out the entirety of the White Palace. I can understand cutting things out for times sake but I'm pretty sure the thing mentioned above (especially the void cutscene) are much more important than things like the moss prophet or the dream boss in the graveyard area.
He also left out the traitor lord fight, when he first beat the hollow knight, and the first ending cutscene
@@Riconort oh i just thought he skipped the first and second ending. Also ur right he did skip traitor lord AND I don't think we ever saw cloth or tiso in this entire video, which to be fair both characters are somewhat unimportant (mainly tiso).

hollow knight could’ve easily had like 10 videos (they don’t all need to be an hour long, but just enough to see the struggle of bosses to make the triumph more exciting, and see his reactions to all areas and bosses)
Idk man, the Seer is probably the second most important character in the game considering she's the one who gives you the dream nail
Dude when Eric started using spells against lost kin I was like “YOOOOO HE’S LEARNING! HE’S BEGUN TO FUCKING BELIEVE!” Also, the radiance music lined up with the fight perfectly lmao. The climax came at exactly at the perfect time lol.
I love that he's making hollow knight content. But I'm a little disappointed by the amount of stuff that was cut.

@@legodarthjon_0961 Absolutely agreed. That’s why the vod channel exists. That’s not what I’m asking for. What I’m wanting is more of the exploration kept in and a 3-5 min death compilation around the bosses that he struggled with. The current presentation makes it feel like just a highlight reel of him finding objectives.
He doesn't need to show every attempt of a boss, but it would be nice to have seen at least the winning attempts of the cut boss fights as well as getting the Shade Cloak and (I assume he got this) the Kingsoul Charm. Him just going from one W to the next feels quite boring imo
Honestly the little roleplays with the grub and the Knight are just... beautiful.

This game was just a random one to start, over time I got to be better at the game and I found that I really enjoyed it, I'm glad to see that you had the same experience I had going in completely blind and I hope to see you do more of this in time, maybe attempting the speedrun of the game or the hardest challenges the game has to offer, the pantheons of godhome, see you hopefully in the twitch chat
That's the exact same reaction I had when I got it for Christmas - was not expecting to get a Metroidvania 😅

I really find it funny that i really doubled down on the game like in the last week and like towards the end of my play through point crow and small ant both started playing it, so fun to see them playing the parts I went through and seeing the order they went through and found things!!

HUGE tip for anyone stuck with broken vessel, equip the charm you get from beating the dung defender. Sense enemy’s take damage when they get close to you the balloon guys can’t hit you

Erik just casually cutting out large sections of the game is giving me whiplash in trying to keep track of what he’s done. Not gonna lie, him cutting out like half the bosses and the entirety of the white palace bothers me
I didn't mind cutting some of those bosses, but man skipping the entirety of the White Palace/Birthplace was a shame. Was looking forward to seeing that reaction. Suppose I'll watch the vods but it was pretty disorientating to go straight from 1st attempt HK prior to gaining Void Heart, right through to having completed all that and fighting the true final boss.

Nice job on the Watcher Knights! My first time through the game, i almost never used spells and got mauled by those guys repeatedly. Having Descending Dark on that fight makes it so much easier. I'm never going to get close to any records (my best time is about 80 minutes), but speedrunning this game is incredibly fun. I wonder if you'll be pulled into that for the 3 hour achievement.

Bro me too, I first tried soulmaster and I was getting arrogent but I panicked when the second phase started but I finished quickly and was fine, but godamn flukemarm is a pain in the ass
Flukemarm is grueling if you can’t oneshot the flying flukes. Trust me, I have 400hrs and still struggle :(

15:16 I always thought that the Nosk entry was one of the most well done things in HK because players unfamiliar with it ARE actually loomed into the dark like Nosk would do to unsuspecting bugs in Hallownest

Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games so far. I know that the game is easer and harder for some easier ( like its hard for you eric but tbh it was pretty easy for me) but I still found it fun and it was cool seeing you improve at hollow knight and beat radiance... now absolute radiance when :)
