Hello pointcrow
HEY PK
Hi crow!
Hi eric
I love how demise is a polite, yet cocky boss, he won't attack you that much with a bug net, he gives you time to prepare for the battle, he considers you as a worthy opponent, picks a really cool place to battle, and compliments link for beating him.
Also curses him like a sore loser
Demise really is the incarnation of power just because, like anyone who is super powerful, he becomes cocky. He despises Zelda because she gave up immortality. You know everything about his character from this brief moment and I think it's magnificent.

The song: *literally the main theme of the franchise*
It doesn’t really sound like it though, he was talking about the water dragons version. It’s the best one of the three dragons imo, but doesn’t really sound like the Zelda main theme

One of my favorite little details about this game is still this: normally if an enemy is blocking and you hit their sword, Link will recoil and be open for attack, but at that part just before you fight Ghirahim at around 45:30 when you're fighting through the waves of enemies to get down to him, if you happen to hit an enemy's sword as they're blocking, Link is so determined to save Zelda that the enemy actually recoils instead.
That’s cool, I’ve played to completion several times and never noticed that
It’s because of the master sword. It’s not that particular scene but any weak mobs you fight at this point of the game will do that
Yeah, its when you achieve the true master sword that it works with any normal bokoblin, during the finale or not.
A great end to the best videogame ever:

PointCrow need to rename the video to "How The Legend of Groose all began.."
“I shall call it “GROOSELAND”!”
I heard somewhere that many years after the end of this game, the Sealed Grounds would later be known as the Temple of Time, from OOT. The Master Sword stayed there and the Sage Rauru built the Temple of Time.
I watched a video from Zeltik theorizing that the Forgotten Temple in BOTW is the Sealed Grounds. That was really interesting
Rauru did build the Temple of Time, as a protective measure against Demise’s reincarnation, who would become the Gerudo King, Ganondorf
@@kaitoshion4933 That's nice
@Demon botw place names are like almost all named after previous place names or characters. thats a first for the series afaik. most places are uniquely named or just the same area. but yeah character names are resused and its cool to see.
@@ameliawatching That one has a LOT of proof of being true with the fact of the Goddess statue being there as well as the tree, and many other features. I'd say the Temple of Time is built elsewhere, and has been rebuilt in different places over time. With SS being made next to each other, the influence of SS is huge on Botw with the springs as well. The Forgotten Temple is such an obvious reference. We'll see if anything changes in Botw2.
The ending to this one definitely has me crying harder than any other. Why do they always have to have the companions leave? First it was Navi, then Midna, then Fi and Impa. I'M SOBBING AAAAAA

@@dominicyelin so canonically, Groose fucks. I can live with that
This title is simple but brilliant. Maybe its my inner theories/lore person with the Zelda series but daaamn this really is where it all starts... I love this game!
I’m designing a dungeon based on the sky keep
This is confirmed to be where it starts, but there is speculated to be one Link prior to this one who fought alongside Hylia in her first war against Demise.
@@ryndor2899 I'm not so sure. Demise described the humans from his time as weak and was surprised that Link was willing to even look him in the eye, let alone challenge him to combat.
I think the Hero of Legend, and the Link you play as are one and the same. Time travel, eh.
@@arch1017 Or maybe the Goddess' first hero never met Demise.
@@ryndor2899 Demise would need to have not even been aware of the first Link for his dialogue in Skyward Sword to make sense.
Assuming that's the case, then how influential could the first hero have been in the conflict?
Groose went from "your daughter calls me daddy too" to "pleased to meet you sir"
Fun fact: PointCrow actually died to Demise on his first attempt, the one that was in this video was the second one.
I'm so happy Eric enjoyed this game. Its so memorable to me and honestly underrated IMO. The music, the emotions, the story, the world building, the characters- AUGH- so good! And im so glad eric picked up on all the little nods and was as emotional as I was when I played through. Such a good game and I'm glad its being enjoyed
The part at the end with Fi literally broke my heart when I played the game, as much as I disliked how annoying she was at the start, Fi kinda grew on me more than almost any other helper in the prior games (Exception being Midna, cause that was even more heartwrenching). This game is such a good game, despite all of its flaws it's still a fantastic game with a great story
@@Gorea1922 YES! Thank you!! For all her flaws FI IS GOOD!!! (I personally always loved her cause I was enamored with her design as a kid. I still love her design. I can see how she can be annoying tbf tho)
@@Gorea1922 "May we see each other in another life" is such a perfect line for Fi to end on. I love how Skyward Sword managed to give character to the other "companion" that, like all the Zeldas, is a near-constant that all the Links (or at least almost all of them, i don't know if the Four Sword counts in Minish Cap) wield.
It really gives a lot of additional context to almost all the games in hindsight, especially since it plays such an important role in TotK too.
Four funny things I need to point out about Skyward Sword: Fi is a Stand, Scrapper is a simp, the imprisoned was killed by Ultron’s plan, and Girahim is a Soul Eater weapon
Seeing everyone love Skyward Sword (or even just experience it) makes me so happy, its my favourite game ever, it always will be. I saw someone say in the comments that Skyward Sword is in their top 3 games, i can die a happy man now, "it sounds weird to say out loud, but thats just how i feel"
Skyward Sword is my favorite Zelda game and I'm very glad to see that Eric enjoyed it!
I loved seeing you cry- I mean cut onions in this game. I will forever love this game and defend it against the people who keep hating on it. There are flaws for sure, but it's overhated too often and it's the easy one for people to pick on even though it has some of the best dungeons in the entire series, and also has one of the best story and the best Zelda in any Zelda game.
~4:00 Holy shit, the attention to detail in Link's eyes... When people look in each others' eyes intently, we often oscillate back and forth between which of the other person's eyes we're looking at to form a composite image of both. Link's eyes are moving ever so slightly back and forth in the exact same way we see in real people. Searching for something in Zelda's eyes that he can't find. Notice how at 6:10 you don't see the same motion in his eyes because Zelda is facing away from him.
Let’s go I was just thinking about the final part! Stay healthy dude!
I’ve been saying Demise is the best final boss in any Zelda game and no one listened to me. Skyward Sword was so underrated when you got past the clunky controls and fetch quest. Everything else makes it so worth the effort. I still love the characters more than BOTW characters. Although AOC did a great job of fleshing out the cast.
The fight against Demise is a top contender for sure, but I'm not sure I'd put it above OoT's Ganon fight. Specifically the N64 version, since the lower fidelity graphics and darker lighting make him harder to see, and thus, way more terrifying.
@@nappa1381 Yea I played Ocarina when I was super young and would replay the final fight over and over again lmao. Its definitely my 2nd favorite, but the Demise fight takes over by just a little bit because of how badass it is.
@@chelronin7843 I think what puts OoT Ganon on the top spot for me is the presentation. Seeing Ganondorf rising from the rubble, feeling his desperation as he activates his trump card, finally revealing his Ganon form and knocking the Master Sword out of your hand, desperately trying to fend him off with whatever you have, and then finally landing that finishing blow, it's all just... so damn cool. Plus the music is super badass.
But Demise is still a close second, followed by WW Ganondorf.
My favourite ganon fight is probably the one is twilight princess. Just of the many cool phases the entire fight has
fetch quests is the pinnacle of the Zelda series smh
"it's probably Batro but I'm gonna call you Batreaux for short" is honestly such an underrated joke thank you for it
My video was buffering right before he landed and I was convinced he was going to land on the rupor space and lose all of that. I am unimaginably furious he got the jackpot on his first try.
so glad Crow's reaction upon realizing there was a g#d damn fourth Silent Realm mirrors mine when I first played the game. I was devastated.
How convenient for me that as I was thinking "I want to watch more of pointcrow playing skyward sword" and then I found he posted a new video about an hour ago. Love it
Groose is so good. I completely agree, top tier zelda character.
Not just S, but SS. Yep he’s challenging brawl meta knight.
When the fandom needed him most, he returned
The ending of the game always makes me cry, but seeing you react to it for the first time made it worse :') I love this game so much
Shout out to the guy that said "I've got groosebumps"...
Same.
As I was watching this series, I was playing through the game myself. As I defeated a boss, I watched your reaction straight after. But seriously, HUGE, I mean HUGE HUGE shout-out to the story-boraders. They did such a good job on this game. The sheer emotion that this game conveys is astounding. Like the little deatails, Link pounding on the amber as Zelda falls asleep, and when you wake her up, it LOOKS like the game is over, but inside, you know it's not. Then you see everyone chatting and think "Oh maybe this is the end." But then Giraham shows up. I'm planning on 100% this game and then re-right Ganon to finish it off. (I beat him before) It's just breathtaking. Beautiful. A piece of literary art. And now I am playing Hero mode trying to Speedrun for fun. I will never forget the joy this game brought me. The character transformation of Groose is... Just wow. I went from hating him to being sympathetic for him. And Fi, so sad. At first she was annoying, now funny and... she had to leave. Such is destiny. But here I am ranting on and on. I suppose I will stop now.
It’s so funny but also sweet and wholesome watching someone cry at a point in a video game that I cried on :’)
When I played skyward sword, I couldn't beat the final boss so I used potions to make myself invincible lol.
Watching this reminds me of that childish excitement when I played many of these games, and seeing it again is making me long for those days. As of now, i have come really close to owning almost the entire series, a childhood dream ive had, and things like this make want to play them again to once again feel that kid like wonder I once had.
This is why I don't understand why this game had so much hate. The motion controls are really nice and the story is incredibly well made. Easily my top 3 favorite zelda games are : twilight princess, skyward sword, and beath of the wild.
It’s really just the third act filler. I don’t hate it, but that does by far the most damage.
because of this game every time I hear the sad version of Fi's theme, I have to actively stop myself from tearing up
I hope you know that the ballad of the goddess is a reverse song of zelda's lullaby because in this game you awake her. With this you can feel the great work the people who work in the music themes of zelda did.
*I know there's a 110% chance that this was the best playthrough I have ever watched.*
*Thank you, PointCrow.*

So, since in this game demise curses us to have the loop... what if in botw2 we are able to break that curse. And that's why they made skyward sword HD, to remind everyone the story of the beginning of the series right before they release the end.
I find it very hard to believe they would end one of their biggest franchises. There's just too much money in it.
