Lenny Feder (Adam Sandler) moves his family back to his hometown to be with his friends, but he finds -- what with old bullies, new bullies, party crashers and more -- that he hasn't left the crazy life behind in Los Angeles. Lenny's friends must also cope with their own challenges: Eric (Kevin James) must face his ultimate fear; Kurt (Chris Rock) has gone back to work as a cable repairman; and Marcus (David Spade) learns that he has an 18-year-old son.

I can get why critics did not like this movie. It has like the most subplots ever that don’t connect professionally sure. But I like to look at it as a fun family slide show that is absolutely hilarious. I wish they made a third. RIP Cameron

critics usually don't like comedy movies. So if Comedy is your genre, then you should completely avoid critic reviews.
@@RoRZoro Although, Siskel & Ebert summed up the idea best on another movie: "At what point did the people making it think 'This is FUNNY'?: Did they hate the script and think 'The actors will fix it', did the actors not work and they thought 'The editing will fix it'?"
Or, when the people making it are the people who star in it, and there's no higher decision to say no, did they think that anything they ever did on screen would be funny?
@@ericjanssen394 There is nothing wrong with family slide shows. There are over 30 MCU movies (And shows) in which most of the base story is "There is me fighting the villain who wants to destroy the world".
You have to admire Adam Sandler who has made a career of getting paid at least $20 million per film to goof around with his friends.
The reason Rob Schneider was not in Grown Ups 2 is because of scheduling conflicts mixed with his wife being pregnant while this movie was in production

You should check out Paul Blart: Mall Cop, also starring Kevin James. I know it's not everyone's favorite, but I can't help but get some enjoyment out of that film.

I love Grown Ups 1 and 2. The second is okay but I think the second one would have been ten times funnier if Rob Schneider reprise his role as Rob Hilliard. Also I heard rumours that there will be a possible third Grown Ups. I don't think there should be a Grown Ups 3 because Cameron Boyce who play Keithie Feder (Lenny's second son) died from epileptic seizure in his sleep at age 20 in 2019. Very sad and tragic death. R.I.P. Cameron Boyce.
I've always wondered why Rob couldn't be in it. Maybe he had personal reasons, who knows. It felt different without him in the group.

It’s always fun to watch Adam Sandlers movies to see who he gets to play the same kind of character. Like this movie and Little Nicky(which is a good one to watch) Jon Lovitz plays a creepy dude. The Waterboy and The Longest Yard Rob Schneider has most of the same lines.
This sequel is funny to watch just for laughs. My only critique is that they would’ve tone down on some of the jokes just cause I feel like there’s too much thrown in as well as like too many subplots also I kind of wish the timing of the story took place instead of first day of summer to last day of summer that way it would’ve been more epic to have the party then. But it’s a good fun thing to watch for laughs anyway. I do highly recommend the ridiculous six, home team, Just go with it, Mr. deeds, 50 first dates, and blended. These are other movies not only produced by Adam Sandler but some of them which are great as well with him in it.
It's a comedy. If you don't want as many jokes. Then don't watch a comedy

Milo Ventiglimia worked back-to-back with Sandler in two consecutive films in a row. Before Grown Ups 2, there was That’s My Boy. Coincidentally, Andy Samberg also appears in both of these films as well.
To be honest Tim, I vowed a no go always on the Twilight films, but after watching the Kissing Booth Trilogy, I'd say Twilight is worth giving a shot.
So despite how much shit Twilight gets, Kissing Booth is far worse and Twilight surpasses it. I'll take it.
God this movie brings back memories of me and my dad watching this
I remember reading a synopsis in a focus survey, and saying, “The runaway tire doesn’t even sound funny on paper!”
This was the movie that finally convinced Sony to end their “star’s” contract, and now, whenever a failed star gets a Netflix picture deal, we say he’s “been Adam Sandlered”. 😅

The whole scene of dude sleeping in the bed actually happened to my mum in the late 90s she was working on a store design for a shop in London and a homeless guy came and slept in the bed she’d just set up, she didn’t have the heart to tell him to leave so she left him to sleep until her boss found him

That fight scene pretty much boomers versus millennials..heck one generation versus another. Some moments were hilarious others disgusting to watch. I LOVED that they had Steve Austin and Shag in the same movie!

I never understood why people didn't like this movie. I can get critics not liking it-- it's stupid comedy, and those movies aren't supposed to be for the critics anyway (which makes it funny that critics feel the need to review them). But audience members? That surprises me. It's a fun time to watch it. I remember seeing it with my dad when I was a kid, and we were laughing the hardest we ever have in our lives in that theater

This and its predecessor are the definition of buddy comedies. Similar Adam Sandler comedies like this are Pixels, That's My Boy, The Ridiculous 6 and Hubie Halloween
9:48 omg out of all the characters in this movie, penny is just freaking annoying. she is like trying too hard to hurt roxanne's feelings in that scene by telling her that she dated lenny. But at least roxanne is like "yea no, it's not working."
But really, that lady is so delusional in thinking that Lenny still has feelings for her. Like in the supermarket scene, it is so obvious that lenny doesn't even remember her anymore and yet she thinks he is just kidding. That's why it was satisfying when roxanne kicked her right in the face 😂
Also the college guys are just freaking hilarious, sure they are bullies but oh my gosh they are so extra that it's too funny to me. I mostly cannot stand bully characters but those college guys? They just make me laugh too much 🤣
But other than that, grownups 2 is still a pretty funny movie. Not one of the best comedies but it's still pretty funny 😄

People like to over complicate everything and expect so much. It’s an Adam Sandler movie and all he’s doing is cracking jokes and hanging out with his best buddies. It’s not that deep.
