- Documentary about the great Hall of Fame trainer Eddie Futch.
Ken Norton didn't win the title from Ali in their first fight, he was given the WBC title when Ali and Spinks refused to fight him five years after the Ali-Norton I fight.
wish there was actually a whole full length documentary on him. The great trainers of old don't get there just due.
Best trainer with a great mindset, and perfect game plan for fighters
Its trippy seeing a documentary on my great grandfather
Those 15 round fights were so close to death for many fighters. Those guys had crazy amounts of heart. Eddie was a true class act. Boxing could use more men like him.
Legend !!!

This documentary is slightly inaccurate, it was not eddie futch who trained Frazier for the first fight with Ali it was yank Durham.
No it was futch
Battle Rifle My apologies you are correct.
It was both of them who trained Frazier.
Norton and Frazier never faced an Ali in his prime. They faced an Ali who tried to compensate his lost skills with taking shots to outpower his opponents. In boxing history there were only two boxers who made a comeback after a long time and win a Heavyweight title again. Ali and Foreman. Norton faced Ali the third time after the Thrilla in Manila. An Ali who was never been the same after the Thrilla in Manila, managed to win against Norton by unanimous decision. Norton faced an Ali who suffered from parkinson disease. Alis physisian Ferdi Pacico seperated because he didnt liston to his advice to stop boxing. Muhammad Ali! A boxer with such a fighting spirit and such an Endurance is unique in boxing history.
True.
@combatesdeboxeo I agree
Fact.
Ali was not the champ when norton beat him
lets not forget Wayne McCollough
R.I.P Papa Smurf
rip I thank u not letting Frazier go 15 rounds he couldn't see in 13 or 14 referee had to guide him to his stool and u didn't want Frazier to be a vegetable for his children in the future
Cus d amto is best.
