Such an accurate description of Frank Bruno. He was the biggest idol in British boxing after Henry Cooper, but was always susceptible to a big shot on the chin, or gassing as he did v Tim Witherspoon. This fight was an early warning when Cummings would have KO'd him but for the bell and James Smith KO'd him just two fights later. That said, Bruno was blood and guts British and gave his all. Havnt seen this in 40 years the home town boy given the win
18 wins in 18 months!
That's unheard of now.
Big frank always an English legend
People also seem to forget that big frank (often seen as a figure of fun -“do you know what I mean ‘arry) but he was a pretty good boxer arhat could mix it with anyone he initially nearly took iron Mike out and did become world champion which is a tad difficult dob❤
Interesting video
I remember watching it live on Sportsnight. One of my favourite fights. Bruno was out on his feet yet he somehow won. The amazing thing is these two guys were only 15 and a half stone.
Frank Bruno a British legend
Black Adder was a marvel. I absolutely fell in love with the Medieval season. It wasn't till many years later, I found out Rowan actually came from my Town.
Sting, who's that?... Mr Bean, Man. Most famous fella to come out of Newcastle.
You’re the first person to mention Black adder in the comments! I’ve been waiting haha

Loved it. That first season, especially.
I think it’s ‘Goes Forth’ for me

Frank came back from the brink of defeat, and showed he had the desire to win,
@robharding5345
Frank got very lucky and was saved by the bell and Terry Lawless at the end of round 1.
