The new door looks amazing. That's a very cool gift, Kevin--so incredibly useful on the boat for so many power tools and things--but especially an amp for the guitar. Happy new year James--fingers crossed the year gets better as it moves along. Love the idea of the Open Day aboard. Deep breath. 2022 here we come!
Nice Portable Power Equipment. I use a similar item with a Solar Panel when operating my Ham Radio Station outdoors. Nice bit of "Under-Cover" Charging 007.......Door looks fantastic now its fitted and finished. Top Year End from a Top Chap. HNY Young James and to All Your Friends and Followers.
What a great episode. Amazing door, real product review of a very handy gizmo, announcing the open day - sign me up- and a bit of circus. Got everything. Happy New Year buddy. X
Happy New Year James & Everyone. I love not only seeing the work on the boat, but that you bring us along on these trips to see lights, singing, motorcycle acrobats, trains passing, and play guitar for us. A lot of youtube fandom is living vicariously through a window into other people's lives. Even moving the ex in a timelapse could be fun to watch, just because you've endeared yourself to so many of us we enjoy seeing the ups and downs and cheering you on from all over the world. All that you've accomplished is phenomenal. Well done. I can understand that January sounds quite daunting. Take a tiny bit of comfort in knowing that it's my birthday midway through the month. ( It is, but not much comfort probably.) Anyway, happy new year, my friend. Special shout out to Carol for the same. Know that thousands of us are touched by you and wishing you nothing but the best. - Leigh

Happy New Year James! What a year! I am stuck in France, selling my house, desperate to buy my houseboat in England. Thank you for keeping me going with your vlogs. You have taught me, inspired me, made me laugh and most definitely made me cry. You are one of those people who make life worth living. You are kind, empathetic and genuine. Bringing Carol into our lives has been so special, what a sweetheart she is, and how she reminds us of how lucky we are. Whatever life chucks at us in 2022 ( I have had more than my share of tough times) Let us remember to be grateful and celebrate the good times. Happy 2022 James! May your life be filled with happiness and memories, your pot overflowing and your pockets lined with gold. Love Jay x
Happy New Year James, family and of course to Carol. I'm sure with your positive outlook on life all will be well. Good luck for the 4th and January will fly by. x
Hi James, you too have a fabulous New Year celebrations this evening and here's to a better 2022 for us all. I'm sure January regarding Sloe Patrol will see it back under power without too many issues with that drive coupling keyway. Love that power pack mate, very generous of a subscriber, it's going to open up lots of possibilities going forward there. Take care catch you next time. Cheers Jonathan 🍺
Happy New year James! Love the Costa trip, made me laugh, my elderly Dad always "recycles" the stirrers from there for his crafting projects..lol keep up the great work both with your boat and the vlog, Ive not been too well and watching your vlogs has helped keep me occupied.. so thank you!
Nice job on the door, and you’ve got a great present there 😊 Happy New Year! Looking forward to the ‘Open Day’ 😎 Let’s hope it’s full of good health, good fun and good luck 🥳🎉⭐️
James, I suffer from depression every year after Christmas. Knowing it doesn't help. Plus we've had lots of cloudy days even though its been a little warm. I seem to be sleeping more. Hopefully, we'll both cheer up soon. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year mate. Hope you have a brilliant 2022. As you know there is something in the mail for you. Thanks for the entertainment over the last year.
Happy New Year James, hoping 2022 is a good one for you and your family! The open boat weekend sounds fun! Looking forward to seeing footage of it, it’s most likely going to clash with my half century birthday celebrations particularly as I’m already spreading that out of 3 weekends 🤣
Happy new year James and the family, and to all your viewers. Nice pouffe! Glad you've got a date for your surgery, still no news about mine. Have a great evening, mate.

Love the door James, great job. Sounds like January is going to be a rough one, but I hope everything goes smooth…on the the bright side it is only 31 days. I was watching the Live Chat with Foxes Afloat earlier & heard them give you a shout out! 😁 Loved the Casta visit, ingenious! Kevin getting you that was so thoughtful. Just past 9pm here in NY so a Happy New Year to you, and Carol as well. Looking forward to more Vlogs, but don’t put more stress on yourself. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us! 🤗😊🎉🥳🎆
First of all James A happy New Year to you and your family. The door looks great, but I think a 3rd hinge on the bathroom bulkhead would secure it better just in case the wood warps. Stay safe
James, magnetic cabinet stops!!! One at the top by the shower. As for the gunnel, make a shelf that has a magnetic catch on it to hold door close. T. Mack fm USA
Happy New Year James and all the viewers especially Carol, thanks for the content James, what a difference 12 months on and the doors looking great 👍. All the best mate. Rich
Happy New Year! Really pumped to see the amp and your Strat’ come out, sounds great! I’ve been looking at portable power for some of my amps. Door looks wonderful. I’m not a big fan of January either. It’s always darkest before the dawn, that is how i look at January, knowing that we’re turning toward the spring and the sun. We’ll all get through it together.
When hanging doors. Put your support at the bottom. Position the thing. Then put 1screw in the top hinge FIRST. Then put one in the bottom hinge. It will make it easier to hold the door while you are doing the rest.
Hello James, love your channel, watched every vlog and have joined as a member, nearly finished those as well, have enjoyed it all so much and appreciate all the hard work, you have put into not only the boat but the vlogs as well. Wishing you and the family a fabulous 2022. Christine x
The trim looks fine with the door is closed. I do think reshaping might make it look a bit better when the space is open and after a while, you won't notice the piece being there at all. It's all looking great. Happy New Year. You get a five-hour jump on things compared to here so you'll get a head start.
Happy New Year to you James and the Kids from NZ it's truly 2022 here now 7:30am. The door lock, can you look for a sprung loaded ball lock I know the roof has a curve so it would have to be at the bottom of the door, it wouldn't have to be to strong.
Hello, James. I started watching the vlog about two months; watched every video. I finally got caught up over the holidays. You've done a really fantastic job! Watching the latest video, some thing occurred to me. You did a nice job on the under-gunnel shoe cabinet in the bedroom, and you expressed that you may want something similar in the saloon. (Is that the right word? I'm American.) Have you considered building an under-gunnel cabinet that stretches from the stove to the bathroom door, and letting the forward end of the cabinet act as your stopper? With this solution you get your cabinet and simultaneously negate need the overhead stopper. Just a suggestion. Anyhow, you have a wonderful channel. Keep up the good work. Happy New Year!!!
Hey Liam Good work on watching all those videos - you deserve some kind of medal. I think I will do something very similar to what you’ve described to house the TV and other bits Have a great new year my friend
Door looks beautiful. Why don’t you use magnets to keep the door closed? Just put the magnets on the stopper on the ceiling and maybe one on an unobtrusive stopper under the gunnel. Easy to close and easy to open. Happy New Year!
Crikey, those bikes were insane. I wonder how many times that has gone raring in practice? Thanks for all the vlogs this year James. All the best for 2022.
Happy New Year James ! Door looks great, loving the guitar playing. Boat is looking g more and more like home. How great is the power box, sure it's going to help out hugely..

I was trying to come up with a way for you to use a spring loaded pin stop that would be on the door and pop into a hole in the ceiling, but couldn't think of a way to release it? ;-)
Healthy new year James, same to Carol too. Obviously don’t know how much room you have behind/ next to the bathroom door when it is tucked away, but would a piece of foam pipe insulation stop it from clattering against the shower door? Just a thought.

The door looks really good James, might be stealing that idea. Just wondering, do you run the engine to charge the batteries? Usually when I run mine I plug a load of other things in to charge at the same time. Also, why don't you use coal to keep the fire in throughout the day? Keeps the boat slightly warm and really helps with condensation and damp issues. Yet another great video 🤩
Happy New Year James. Here's a though you may not have had. Does your new power brick put out 220V. If so, you can run your jigsaw, planer and other power tools off it. Cheers
Hi James. Trim your door stopper so that it follows the roof line.
Brilliant bit of Auld Lang Syne et al...that was a really cool chord at the end there! Happy New Year!
You should be able to tap the power into your system. Run 220 plugs and charge it with solar. Boat looks great!
