Hello from Australia!
It’s been 2 1/2 weeks of binge watching you guys from episode 1 and I’m now all caught up.
It’s been so awesome watching the two of you work so hard and so well together, thank you for all that you do to make your channel so awesome to watch!
I just love the wholesome dynamic between the both of you, it really brings the heartfelt moments to life.
You 2 have come so far it's been an amazing journey. Travis your confidence with the camera has grown and grown . Now your just a natural.
I love supporting a Cdn couple. We live in a fantastic country ♥️🇨🇦. Thanks guys for another great one! Keep living the dream
Congratulations on reaching 50k subscribers! I know that number will continue to rise.
Thank you!!☺️
Such great boat show memories! 💛
Did you catch a glimpse of mystic hearts in the vid?!🤩
@SailingJibsea I did! Had to pause the episode last night to double check that it was us! 😅
Groovy episode.
OMG, you guys😊 What a fun and wonderful way/event to teat your patrons ‼️🌞💥 You are generous as well as ocean-going sailors. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Love the thought and action 🫣 put into electronic ‘musical chairs.’ Nice easy going episode. ✌🏻 See you next time. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨
Thanks for watching! We’re glad you enjoyed the episode.
Woohoo! 50k and climbing!👍👍🥳
Thank you for all the support! 🙏
Put an oil pressure gauge in that empty hole. Engine diagnostics are always a welcome addition. Or a fuel gauge.
I really enjoy the DIY how to videos, great stuff.
Thanks for watching! We love to share what we learn.
You came a long way and are doing well! Proud of you!
From the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦...Fogo Island!
Another great video, and even a bit emotional with all the reunions, and of course your work skills and working out what to, is spot on.
Did get a bit worried when steph wasn't around in the second half of the video, hope she is well. Take care, brian in nz.
Nice to see you back in TO again.
It’s great to be back in the city where it all started!
Such a fun episode to see your original port as well as the patreons! I also appreciated the dialogue on instrumentation updates. Really helps me weight options as well. Wish I could join in more and hope to over the next year. Always wishing you two the best, keep on living the dream!!!
We appreciate your kind words!
I'm with you..just make a hole.... hmm...... such a big deal..if you don't get it correct 😂❤😂
Congrats on the 50K!!
Woohoo! We appreciate it!
Hi Travis and Steph. Long
Time follower. I’d just like to make you aware of stray current that can occur . Especially on an aluminium boat. You may need to learn how to measure this . Seeing you are doing mods and upgrades. This need to be checked often to make sure you haven’t created a battery to degrade your beautiful home. Easier to progressively check so you can locate an issue in a smaller timeframe. I love your real approach to what you do. Thankyou
I was always wondering about starlink and if it was user friendly off the boat now I know the alternative thanks for sharing something new.. Thoughts that go into designing and functionality is important Thanks Travis going through your mind on why you decided to cut where you did.. All these tricks of the trade will come in handy.. Learning about filming and regrets of filming is important as well.. Great video this week the list of things to remember is growing by leaps and bounds.. See you next week..
So glad I left that Marina and am now at PCYC. Congrats on 50K. Be at 1M before you know it. Cant wait to see the adventures on the new vessel!
PCYC is a great spot! Thanks for the kind words!
Nice install on the MFD. Completely agree with moving the halyard to the mast. We have all of our halyards and even the 3 reefing lines at the base of tge mast and I like it. Keep up the great progress!😊
Always fun to make the boat your own. Cheers🎉
Each little bit makers her more and more our own :)
Hey Guys, thanks for another great vid. Think I might have just seen where your inspiration for your Jib sea icon came from:)
Funny enough, we actually never noticed that until editing this video!
That's Port Credit Marina....is it not. Wow. Cool...
Yep it is!
@SailingJibsea very cool ... thanks for reply...I live very near bye..
What struck me about this episode? Travis was wearing a shirt the entire time. 😁
Did you notice his haircut ?
I got to go aboard the original Pride of Baltimore a few times and have lunch with them. I was aboard TeVega, now called DEVA, our second mate was engaged to the captain of the Pride of Baltimore but he and half of the crew ended up going down with the ship 400 miles north of Puerto Rico in 1986.
Very neat you got to go aboard the original before its tragic end.
@@SailingJibsea Yes. We were the last to see the crew alive as we had lunch with them in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean before they went down. The only reason that we had lunch with them is probably because of our second mate who was about to get married to the captain of the Pride. It was a brand new boat.
I seen the Pride of Baltimore when she was docked by the maritime museum at St Michel
We where working at the maritime museum building the (what we called “boat building shed) just across from the. Crab claw restaurant.
How about a raymarine clock in the hole next to depth !! yes that would be great
Great idea
Love how my wife wasnt paying attention when we were trying to take the group photo, putting her drink down sheesh man LOL, such a fun time with you guys!!!! made the whole show for us. Pretty slick install of the MFD my friend! Shes coming together quickly!!!
Hahah with how long it took for us to figure the whole camera thing out, she could have gone back for a couple sips!🤣
@@SailingJibsea hahaha shes such a ham isnt she, that was amazing actually getting to see Travis do his thing in the tree LOL, you see it on video but IRL, was amazing 😁
I was watching you guys staying in the Marina in the winter ! You have come a long way !
It's been a journey! :)
I watched you since the beginning….You’ve come a long way! I’m surprised you don’t have 100k subscribers!
It's been a journey, thanks for being on board!
I live near Annapolis...but tend to avoid going there during Boat Show week... I wish I had known you were going to be there and I would have made sure to stop by your booth.
Next year!
@SailingJibsea ABSOLUTELY
Thanks for your tips and thoughts about the chartplotter location. Did you consider putting the plotter on the binnacle rail on a turning mount and if yes, why did you decide not to go with that option? We find that the best location for our plotter as when we’re behind the wheel it’s readily available and when we’re sailing with our backs to the bow we swivel the plotter around so we can continue to track our progress. Great content as always!
We considered it but prefer a cleaner look without anything extra at the helm
Their doing exactly what I suggested sort of I said the should take JibSea2 back. They were close. They decided to drive as they were close, and could drive it in a day. Taking the sailboat ⛵️ would have taken weeks. lol such a cute couple. 🤪
He’s an adrenaline junky.
So when you reef you will have to run to the mast to release halyard, then back to cockpit to tension reef lines, then back to the mast? :)
PCYC to HBYC
Did you consider putting 6plotter on an arm?
Considered it but prefer to have nothing at at the helm for a cleaner look
I see Port Credit Harbour Marina customer service hasn't changed much over the years - LOL.
😂
To late now, I guess, but did you consider a rotating console on the pedestal for your instruments?
It was considered but we wanted to keep the area as clean and open as possible
Take care of those young lungs - mask up.
How tall is Cap’n Glenn? I saw a pic on IG and he looked shorter than Steph.
Hi Guys, further to my possible extended Hurricane Season Warning below. A BIG Well Done to You Guys for how well Both of You Have Done - Confession, I was more than a bit Worried For you Both, when you Started, but the Number of Bloopers and Oopses has fallen off Steadily, so keep on keeping on, and have a Great Time doing it. Best Wishes, Fair Winds, and Safe Travels. ob in Wales - who finally just might get Next Sailboat in 2025. This has beenna long and very frustrating wait. 😅😅😅👍🌟🌟🌟⛵️❤️
This episode doesn’t seem the same. He’s wearing a shirt.
Haircut!
A little too chilly in Toronto!
