    You will always be one of my favorite giants. I thank you for everything you've given this organization and the fans which I am one of. You are a pros pro, a class act, a good person on and off the field. I wish the last five years could have been better for you. I actually believe you would've won us more championships. Even when things were bad you never threw anyone under the bus and I hope Daniel Jones turns out to be just like you. No doubt you deserve to be in the HOF. And I hope you and your family enjoy your retirement. Go Giants!!!

    I remember the first Sb win over the Patriots. I’m in 7th grade, Mr. Lew my math teacher said whoever picks the correct winner doesn’t have to do math hw for the remainder of the year. Of course I am biased and go with the Giants for the heck of it, I’m from Brooklyn,Ny. Me and my dad are watching in the room together. My dad says that there’s no way the Giants win and I remember my exact words “ Dad you just have to believe, if you believe we can do it.” Moments later Tyree catches the football on his helmet and we both lose our freaking minds. The rest is history. That’s one beautiful memory we’ll always share and keep remembering . Eli Manning is a HOF’er for sure. His play action pass was lethal and he definitely was elite. Giants 4 life. Only bad thing is Tiki Barber just let a season prior I believe.

      Why are you thanking Eli? Without the defense hold the Patriots to 23 and 15 point below their respective average those years, Eli's 17 and 19 points are blowouts. It was the defense.

    I don't think people appreciate how clutch Eli was.

    • @tomknapp6194
      @tomknapp6194 Год назад +1

      Actually, Eli's career passer rating was a below average 84.1 and his 4th quarter passer rating was even lower than that 83.8. But, give him a few headlines and everyone thinks that he's a 4th quarter genius.
      Inside of 2 minutes and Eli was just as like to throw a TD as an interception, 22 on both. That's hardly clutch.

    • @3brostaco
      @3brostaco Год назад

      @@tomknapp6194I guess you didn't really watch him. Out of his 117 wins 37 of them were 4 game winning drives that ended the game. The year we went to the Superbowl I believe he had 4. Like Eli was a much better player people didn't realize because unlike his brother or tom he always took blame. He has had some of the worst receivers with running options pass. And they also didnt fight for the ball to well either in the season he threw 28 picks 20 of them hit the offensive player hands first. Like people don't realize how much they put on him and how much he elevated his players. Jake Ballard had good seasons with him never did anything anywhere else, there was numerous of guys I can name , nicks, handle, Steve Smith, Cruz,. He made players better and for that the giants never gave him real help after the 2016 season we just tried to do gap fixing instead of going back to what made us winner building the lines

    • @tomknapp6194
      @tomknapp6194 Год назад

      @@3brostaco Actually, yes, I did watch him. He was nothing special and fair to say that he was below average.
      4th quarter comebacks are not all they are cracked up to be. For example, in two of Eli's first comes, he had these stats.
      vs Dallas Jan 2, 2004
      1-3 Quarters:
      12/20, 60%, 61 yards, 1 TD, 1 int, 39.79 PR
      4th quarter/overtime
      6/7, 85.7 %, 53 yards, 2 TDs, 0 int, 137.8 PR
      vs Denver Oct 23, 2005
      1-3 Quarters:
      10/24, 41.7%, 94 yards, 1 TD, 1 int, 49.62 PR
      4th quarter/overtime
      13/18, 72.2%, 120 yards, 1 TD, 0 int, 108.56 PR
      I think that we can see why he was in that position in the first place. In fact, in 4 of his 5 first "comebacks" are like this. The 4th? This is pure gold. Giants have a 3 point lead and the ball with 3:35 to go in the game and an Eli interception leads to a tied game. Then less than 2 minutes later, Eli is intercepted again, but time runs out.
      In overtime, after a fumble the Giants get the ball on the Eagles 27. They basically down the ball 3 times and kick a game winning field goal.
      Summary: A 3 point lead, 2 Eli interceptions almost gives it away, and a fumble by the Eagles deep in their territory seals the game up. Somehow, Eli is still the hero.
      He wasn't always this bad, but this was the Eli much more likely to take the field than good Eli. Once again, below average QB who was carried by the defense through both postseasons.

    • @tomknapp6194
      @tomknapp6194 Год назад

      In 2007 the Patriots were averaging 37 points/game. In 2011 it was 32. What was it about Eli's 17 and 19 points that overcame that? Beating Brady on one of his worst days of the year is not impressive and not a result of what Eli did. That was all defense. Eli owes both SB runs and MVPs to the defense.

      @tomknapp6194 11 месяцев назад

      @kylepetersen1852 Temper tantrum? Throwing shade? I don't do either of those things because I have facts on my side.
      For example, instead of coming up with reasons why the Giants won because of Eli, you say that Brady should have done better. Why not list the multiple reasons why it was Eli? Oh, that's right. It never was.
      Eli needed Brady to have his worst game of the year to barely win. Twice. As well as Farve. And Romo. Rogers also had a bad game, but it was the one time that Eli truly won a playoff game.
      What happened a few years later when they faced off again in the playoffs and just an average Roger's shows up? Blowout.
      In fact, if the defense didn't hold multiple high scoring offenses 13 points below all their respective averages, with what Eli scored, the Giants go 2-6 and those 2 wins are by less than a point against the Bucs and 2 points against the '11 Packers. That's it.
      8 straight playoff teams held to 6-23 points below their season average and Eli barely managed to win 5/8 games. And 2 of those wins went to overtime in which Eli was a combined 3/7, 17 yards, 1 sack for -10, so 7 attempts for 7 years. He literally did NOTHING on either game winning drive because they started inside the opposition's 30, but was given all the credit and even 2 of his career 37 game winning drives.
      That isn't throwing shade. Those are cold hard 100% facts. The difference between Eli fans and me is that I use those funny looking symbols called numbers and they spout opinions and half truth headlines.

      But, you come back with "2x SB MVP" in which he didn't earn either one. It is really sad.

Every one was 6-23 points below their season average. The average opposing QB had a 74 passer rating. And Eli still barely won 5/8 games by 4 points or less. It was almost 100% the defense.

    2 time Super Bowl champ. Not like he beat an easy team. He beat Tom Brady. Not once but twice. Nobody has ever don’t that before. Went to Green Bay. Below zero temperatures and kicked there ass. Jerry Jones bought tickets do the damn super bowl because of how confident the cowboys were that they would beat the Giants. Not only did he win, he made Terrell Owens cry. But most importantly. He didn’t give a damn what people said about him. He was a prime example of a leader and a great teammate. No questions asked HOF and one of the greatest to ever pick up a football

      Romo put up 4 TDs against the Giant twice in the regular season to easy double digit wins. Then in the playoffs, Eli scores less and is hailed the hero? What am I missing?

    To think we would've had Philip Rivers if Eli hadn't gone to San Diego (I know it's LA now, but San Diego when drafted)

      I believe the Giants wanted Roethlisberger if they couldn't get Eli. The Chargers told them to take Rivers in order to execute a trade.

      It isn't hate. It is facts.
      Never a league MVP.
      Never a league MVP vote.
      Never an all pro.
      Even second string.
      4x pro bowls? Do you really think that is good for 16 years?
      Never led in any QB stat, except....
      Led in interceptions x3
      Never beat a single playoff team that scored more than 20 points.
      Carried by the defense through both postseasons.
      And that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you think this is hating, then maybe he wasn't that good because this is 100% fact. Not wishful thinking, which is all Eli fans have.
