Before Super Bowl 46 a question was posed in the pregame show to Rodney Harrison: who would you rather have the ball in their hands with an opportunity to drive down the field and win the game, Eli or Brady? It was a tough decision but ultimately Rodney ended up saying Eli (to be proven right by the end of the game, mind you). That tells you a lot right there.
Seeing the Giants beat Jerry Jones' Cowgirls was priceless. Jones had to tear those tickets he got them in half. That freezing cold game vs the Pack. "The Helmet catch after Eli's scramble was the greatest sports play I have ever seen." Manning to Manningham to beat the Pats in the S.B., again. And so many more memories. Thanks Eli.
I’m from New Jersey, my first sports memory with my kid was watching the Red Sox win the World Series in 2007, the second memory was watching my hometown team and Eli beat the Pats. Thank you Eli
One od the smallest parts of Eli's career but, my favorite was what he said to Peyton in the lockeroom after that 1st win against the Pats in the Super Bowl. He looked at him and said, 'Thats how we drew up.' LOL
The pass from Eli to Mario Manningham in my humble boy opinion is the greatest pass of Eli Manning’s career let alone a Super Bowl or playoff game 🙌🏾‼️
Congratulations Eli and thank you for the memories. You are the reason I watched an entire season of NFL and I vividly remember watching that infamous play to get away from the defence, that pass, and phenomenal catch by the receiver! What a wonderful story, memories, and legacy you leave behind. #NYG fan base New Zealand. Bravo Sir, next stop #HOF
We need a video of Tom Coughlin and Bill Belichick watching 42 & 46 together just talking about what each coach was seeing and thinking at different points throughout the game
Eli was amazing for the Giants and NY. Not only a GREAT player but a great person off the field as well. That entire family are the football Gods thanks to Archie Manning. Eli is a 2-time SB champ and 2-time SP MVP. What he did to the Pats not once but twice was amazing, especially 2007 when the Giants beat the “undefeated”. No matter how many rings they have, those 2 losses, especially 2007 will FOREVER haunt them. Eli was the best of the best during clutch time. Thanks Eli for all the memories and for that fantastic hall of fame career!
Should’ve won a 3rd Super Bowl in 2008 when we were 12-4 and before Plax shot himself. 1 of 5 with multiple SB MVPs: Brady (4), Montana (3), Bradshaw (2), Starr (2), and Manning (2). He went in as Wild Card and won 7 games on the road in both super bowl runs. 1st ballot HOFer
Enjoy your retirement Eli,you earned it. You are what all players should aspire to be! I'm a long time Giants fan and you made the franchise proud...always humble and a TRUE team player. God bless you as you move on...fair winds and following seas from a TRUE fan!
My favorite game will always be “besides the Super Bowls of course” Giants vs Green Bay 😁 I was still a teen but I still remember watching it and it was cold af that day too in New York. Amazing game !!!! Eli 4ever
Being a 90s kid I always loved those 90s Cowboys but they are a circus. The NY GIants I've always liked & respected. Eli was a class act & underrated. He took all the blame with none of the credit. Meanwhile in big D whoever is under center gets free passes all day.
Everyone gets to play in the regular season, big F'ing deal. To separate yourself as a great it has to be measured by what you do with opportunities to be great. Eli turned his opportunities to be great into Super Bowl Rings, Tony Romo crapped the bed.
If you are of a certain age, too young in '63, but old enough to remember the later '60s and '70s. You have to say of all these playoff games, the one that means the most to you was beating the Cowboys. How many years did we have to see Dallas beating the Giants? The Cowboys in the playoffs and in the Super Bowl? That one game makes me smile the most.
2008 season is Burris didnt shoot himself an the that playoff game vs packers in 2017 where he was throwing money balls but were being dropped every time. Who knows what could have happened, it's a shame.
A lot of people like to call the NFC East the NFC Least but since the 1970 merger no division has more Championship appearances (21) & Super Bowl victories (13). Also the Giants & Eagles are the only two teams to beat Brady.
Screw the Eli haters Eli is the best giants QB ever and personally idc about stats but I think he’s even better than his brother because Eli was clutch he beat a undefeated team and just who beats Tom Brady twice in the super bowl nobody in this decade and everyone always doubted him but time and time again proved the haters and doubters wrong I hope your enjoying your retirement Eli you deserve it and deserve to be in the hall of fame hope to see you soon in there
I was in a room of ONLY PATRIOTS FANS when the helmet catch happened. Around 25 people, everyone wearing Patriots gear...except me. They all screamin' that he dropped it but BOOOOY when they threw the flag and said it was a catch I was FIRED UP. By the end of the game, one person in that room was louder thand 24 others hahahaha. LETS GO GMEN!!!!!
That pass by Eli to Manningham in SB46 was prob best catch and throw ever seen in SB history even tyree catch. Way Eli placed that ball coming off a back side throw and Mario keeping it feet and had 2 guys ontop him won that game for them. As well as Steve smith's big 3rd down catch to get 1st down in SB42 was almost as great as Stephen bakers big 3rd down catch where he kept jumping for more yards in SB 25
eli beat matt ryan tony romo brett farve arron rogers tom brady twice alex smith colin kapernic jeff garcia that is a hell of a line up 2 time sb mvp hof first ballot
How Belichick undermined Mario Manningham's ability for clutch plays.. telling his defense to focus on Hakeem and Cruz and let Eli resort to make throws to Mario. Made the catch right in front of Bill, as well. Talk about eating your words. lol
CRAZY Fun fact: The 2 super bowl runs were the only 2 times in Eli’s career he won playoff games. Just think about that. AKA if he won the wildcard game, he went on to win it all AKA either he was 1 and done or won the super bowl 🤯🤯🤯
The Great John Madden said, "The Best team does not always win the Super Bowl"! That might be true John but beating the Greatest Team of all time, TWICE! Come on man!
6:07 they made a small mistake. It was Brett Favre in the 2007-2008 season when they won in OT not Aaron Rodgers. They said “once again” when it was actually Eli’s first postseason matchup with Rodgers
I wonder if it is covered how Eli was carried through both seasons by the defense. Yes, those bottom half defenses came alive during the playoffs. 8 straight playoff teams all head to an average of 15.1 points/game, none over 20 (NFL average was 21), and an opposing passer rating of 74. The NFL average was 21, but all those teams were well below their season averages each game by 6 to 23 points. Seriously, who can't beat that? Well, Eli almost didn't. 5 of 8 wins still by 4 points or less. 2 of those 5 went to overtime in which Eli was 100% a non factor on the actual game winning drive that he is credited for. The Giants could have won those SBs with literally almost any QB in the league, but could not have won with any defense. Before you start spouting, "Eli had those 2 passes that no one else could have done." Most QBs would not have needed lucky last second plays to beat 14 or 17 points. The Patriots were averaging 37 and 32 points those years. Eli scores 17 and 19 points in the SBs and he's the hero? His 17 points in 2007 didn't even cover the Patriots average margin of victory that year (19). The 2x SB MVP averaged 1.5 TDs and 275 yards per game. I don't know in which universe that is considered to be an MVP performance.
You heard what he said in the next 50 years you be watching highlights of that catch so we have 3 greatest catches of all time david (im destined) tyree helmet catch mario (don't sleep on me) manningham tip toeing the side line catch and odell (You cant stop me) Beckham jr 3 finger ring money 💰 in the bank catch
Eli in his prime was as good as anybody.
Absolutely great and better than a hell of a lot of some others for a future hall of famer indeed there now for real!!
No he wasn’t ! & I’m a Eli fan lol
Eli had the clutch trait
Playoffs, team is down, 4th qtr
Give me Tom Brady, and I will pray Eli manning is not on the other side
I fainted on the Tyree play .... then cried tears of joy on the Plaxico Touchdown
I was in shocked, and I knew we would win after that play.
🤣🤣🤣 yeah that play still to this day makes me soooo happy!
Seeing the Giants beat Jerry Jones' Cowgirls was priceless. Jones had to tear those tickets he got them in half.
That freezing cold game vs the Pack.
"The Helmet catch after Eli's scramble was the greatest sports play I have ever seen."
Manning to Manningham to beat the Pats in the S.B., again.
And so many more memories.
Thanks Eli.
Once a Giant...
Always a Giant...
ONLY a Giant...
Thank you Eli!
That game in SF showcased just who Eli was as a QB. That game alone should put him in the hall, let alone his rings or other stats
Plus beating the greatest dynasty and greatest qb ever in the SB 2x with 2 SB mvp awards.
@@shschesschamp yup.
Manning kept getting up after being crushed
I will miss Eli. Nicks was a beast
Amani Toomer was the most reliable talented reciever in nyg history he and eli should aalk into the hall of fame together both legends in nyg history.
One's a Giant always a Giant and for me it's only a Giant. I cried 😢 when Eli said that when he retired 😭 😢. Thank you Eli for the wonderful memories
"AND I KNOW JERRY JONES AND THE REST OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS ABSOLUTELY SICK."
Eli manning had his up and downs like I’m a giants fan but he was just built different when it came down to the fourth quarter.
😂
Eli Manning is the Greatest ⭐️⭐️
Jerry jones face is priceless 🤣
too bad that we have never give Eli the credit that he deserve, a great QB two times SB MVP, hope that he is a Hall of Fame member soon
He def gonna be in there he’s too 15 in tds and yards with two sb mvps
If only every other NFL player had the class and dignity that Eli Manning always displayed, win or lose.
"Never underestimate the heart of a champion"
thanks for all the memories and good times Eli, the David Tyree helmet catch in Super Bowl 42 still gives me chills big time
Watching that whole game is still freaking awesome!
The pass from Eli to Mario Manningham in my humble boy opinion is the greatest pass of Eli Manning’s career let alone a Super Bowl or playoff game 🙌🏾‼️
Man I was only 10 and 14 when they won in 08 and 12 but still was extremely hyped 😭
I was born in 2012 so my favorite quarterback is playing in the playoffs and super bowl is a amazing day ever
Wtf? You literally 8
What a family ! Archie built two of the best EVER ! Thank you Eli !
Eli a legend as a Giant ❤️🙏
Friday October 1st 2021 @ 7:32 Pm
CRYING
I miss & love you Eli !!!
Wow this video made me kinda sad. Considering we’ve been doubting Eli these past seasons
Speak for yourself!
For me it was always the O line for Eli's lack of success. The Giants organization let Eli down for not fixing the O line for years.
speak for youself
We need a video of Tom Coughlin and Bill Belichick watching 42 & 46 together just talking about what each coach was seeing and thinking at different points throughout the game
Unreal. These two SB’s were amazing. Being a Giants fan nothing better than beating the Pats for the chip. BOTH times. Great memories.
Eli was amazing for the Giants and NY. Not only a GREAT player but a great person off the field as well. That entire family are the football Gods thanks to Archie Manning. Chills watching this

That one dislike has to be a Patriots fan lol
And they still hate manning to this day
Enjoy your retirement Eli,you earned it. You are what all players should aspire to be! I'm a long time Giants fan and you made the franchise proud...always humble and a TRUE team player. God bless you as you move on...fair winds and following seas from a TRUE fan!
Staaaannnddddd uuuupppp Eli Manning fans
2022 here rewatching 💯I love my Giants
I freaking tear up every time for my guys 🙌🏽
That lady at 3:45 says it all. Devine intervention? LOL! Go Giants! Bring on 2020! Thanks for the memories Eli!
Thank you hero... Forever blue 💙
Never gets old!
Thank you Eli!!!!
My favorite game will always be “besides the Super Bowls of course” Giants vs Green Bay 😁 I was still a teen but I still remember watching it and it was cold af that day too in New York. Amazing game !!!! Eli 4ever
The GREAT
Eli Manning 🏆🏆
Their run through Cowboys in Dallas, then -1 in Lambeau, then against the 16-0 Patriots… that season needs a movie.
Big respect from me Eli
I love how Peyton was just as happy when Eli won super bowl 42 as he was when he won the super bowl the year before.
I was so happy
Good memories.
As a Vikings fan, watching this man beat Brady twice was crazy! Tom will forever be the goat until his records are broken. But he couldn’t beat Eli!
Being a 90s kid I always loved those 90s Cowboys but they are a circus. The NY GIants I've always liked & respected. Eli was a class act & underrated. He took all the blame with none of the credit. Meanwhile in big D whoever is under center gets free passes all day.
Eli should come out retirement and play two years and DJ can sit back. I think the line is better now and he can get one more run in
Everyone gets to play in the regular season, big F'ing deal. To separate yourself as a great it has to be measured by what you do with opportunities to be great. Eli turned his opportunities to be great into Super Bowl Rings, Tony Romo crapped the bed.

It’s just so special knowing these underdog seasons are led by that trust wobbler throw
2008 season is Burris didnt shoot himself an the that playoff game vs packers in 2017 where he was throwing money balls but were being dropped every time. Who knows what could have happened, it's a shame.
Eli is tough as nails. Most starts record. NEVER HURT !
The real rocky balboa story just in football terms 😆
Class act hall of famer
His fade to Plaxico in the first superbowl should be in a textbook somewhere on how to throw a fade.
I've heard many smart football people say that quarterbacks are judged on playoff production and Eli sure has that bless him
Td Eli we will naver forget
NYG #10 ALWAYS
Nicks went OFF on those playoffs
Like next level shit...everyone credited Cruz that year but Nicks went tf off
A lot of people like to call the NFC East the NFC Least but since the 1970 merger no division has more Championship appearances (21) & Super Bowl victories (13). Also the Giants & Eagles are the only two teams to beat Brady.
And the only division in which all 4 teams won a Superbowl
Burress going over to the Packers sideline and telling them to get someone else to cover him because this guy can't was fantastic.
Watching that catch in the 4th Quarter by Tyree still gives me chills.
Wow what a game
Thank you Eli you the Man
Go Giants 😎👊
ELIte!!!
All he did was own the greatest QB/Coach combo in NFL history.
More clutch than his older brother. Just the facts.

I BELIEVE IN ELI!!!!
his hall of fame resume right here
7:52 ppl think they might be booing Victor Cruz. But real ones know that they’re saying, “CCRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZZZ”
Elite? Heck yes.
I fucking cried while watching this ahhh I will miss you #10
SF had the greatest defense I’ve ever seen.
That's my QB...
Mark my words, Eli was clutch and he would’ve won 3 Super Bowls had it not been for his receivers in 2016
hey jerry, i have your championship gm tickets right here
eli beat matt ryan tony romo brett farve arron rogers tom brady twice alex smith colin kapernic jeff garcia that is a hell of a line up 2 time sb mvp hof first ballot
Eli owns Brady in super bowl matchups 🔥🥶
How Belichick undermined Mario Manningham's ability for clutch plays.. telling his defense to focus on Hakeem and Cruz and let Eli resort to make throws to Mario. Made the catch right in front of Bill, as well. Talk about eating your words. lol
Eli manning always a ny giant. Thanks for beating Tom Brady. And bringing 2 super bowls to the g men.

We cuda been there back again the following year in 08 burress out basically killed our locker room
That game against Bret farve man.

don't think it was written that way. more implying that the giants were once again playing the packers.
Dan Lane The Giants also played the packers that regular season so that’s probably what it was referring to.
How do you not show that last TD in the second Bowl WIn?
17 dislikes most likely pats, packers, cowboys, falcons, niners and bucaneers fans
that was short!
The moment Michael Strahan started hosting a morning show, I knew he went from a man to a boy.
the Giants literally just got rid of this guy. Eli was DUPED of 5+ years. curse this team forever.
Exactly

who ever disliked this video are the people who are still salty that the Giants beat the Pats twice in the superbowl
Burress was a beast.
