Love Lucas' headphones and his hair color!

My patient wasn't feeling well today so I put on Scary Movie 3 for them and they loved every moment of it. Thank you
Glad they liked it though scary movie 2 is better for one part. Where shorty gets rolled into a human joint and gets smoked by a marijuana plant 😂
@@_SYDGAMING_
The parody of little shop of horrors and it was actually good.
@_SYDGAMING_
My favorote bit of that scene is the TV commercial for Hood inspired christmas songs...
"All I want for Christmas is the charges dropped" lol
An obnoxious line that I remember was ‘Run, Forrest, run!’ whenever anyone was seen running at my school. It happened whenever I was late to class or running after a bus. Without fail, some jackass would put on a southern accent and yell that line after you.
One of my friends does that but the version I think is funnier is some guys would make formula 1 car or plane noises whenever a younger kid ran past in school
the "Send gifts to their bitches and hoes" reminds me of Warhammer 40K games where you fight the Orks and you have Space Marines or Militarum commanders, these scarred veterans with voices like gravel, with a complete straight face saying names like "Warboss Grimskull" or the deadliness of "Deff Dreads, Snazzwagons" and such.
Its funny because they are saying these stupid names but they also have to because those stupid things are funny, until they are barreling down at you.
I love it
I had a roommate that was watching Movie 43 and laughing their ass off. They always had some shitty takes on movies, but that was when I realized they were actually the worst kind of movie viewer possible
I've had that thought before, that no matter how shitty a movie is, someone out there liked it.
Not just on the viewer side, but someone wrote a script and thought this is pretty good. A director watched it being filmed and approved what he saw.
@@nobodyfamousX I mean I can respect it but I dunno. I guess so long as they laugh because its so bad and they admit its bad?
Its one thing to be able to laugh at dumb jokes like random farting noises but there are some were its just not healthy.
I did some research a while back into that "2 out of 6 writers claim". To clarify, those 2 didnt write scary movie 1 or 2 but were involved with the rest of the franchise heavily. Theyre credited as writers because they submitted a similar enough concept before the wayans that they could sue if not credited with the idea. They then piggy backed off the wayans success and made all the other "movie" movies
I do like the joke in the first one, where Cindy is yelling "Just do it, what are you waiting for?" And there's a suicidal guy on the roof above her.
Not a smart or tasteful joke. But a funny one.
@@fishstix4209 If we're to respect comedy as an art form, we have to be critical of its themes and messaging.
A good comedian can make a joke about sensitive topics.
A hack comedian can be bigoted and hurtful.
As an example, if someone makes a joke that belittles suicidal people or their loved ones, a portion of the audience is going to be upset; the opposite of what the comedian's job is.
A joke that highlights the contradictions and irony of aspects of suicide has a chance of being funny and not triggering, bonus points for coming from a personal place, or from experience.
Like, I've attempted suicide before, but it was self-defense; that bitch was trying to kill me.
Knowing the difference is just having taste and empathy.
@@bareakonIt's like how there are plenty of great jokes about the trans experience; trans people and those who care about them tell such jokes all the time. The ones told by people like Ricky Gervais and David Chapelle are not those.
God with an episode like this... I wonder what I'll be able to ABSOLUTELY FALL ON MY ASS for when I play the New RoboCop game... Can't wait and love these Brits
I was an idiot. I actually believed the original tagline, 'no sequels'. that is why I have never watched any of the other scary movies. They lied, fuck 'em.
However it seems I should watch 3, so I shall, at some point. Cheers Karl.
I think the scene with the "Nike basketball ad" was in the second Scary Movie (it's hard to recall; I was stoned when I saw them) It would "make sense" if it was the case, the "Wassap" bit was successful in the first film, why not do the same joke in the next one.
As for "Wassap" I remember a trend at the time where they would take the audio of the advert and edit cartoon clips to it, such as "Superfriends" (I just did a quick search on here, I seemed to remember _loads_ being around at the time, but only the Superfriends one came up from the time, the others were more recent versions and actual Budweiser adverts)
As for the advert itself, I remember first seeing it for the first time in the cinema. At the time I just knew it was going to one of those things people quoted to death. Sure enough, within the week Chris Moyles on his prime-time Radio 1 afternoon show would greet his callers with "WASSAAAAP!"
Repossessed staring Leslie Nielsen is a much better horror parody.
Roger Ebert is a great source for what to watch and what to avoid. Just do the opposite of what he recommends.
Moron didn’t didn’t think “An American Tail” was Jewish enough.
I will confess, I didn't bother to watch hot fuzz for years, thinking it was just another one of those stupid parody type movies. And then I found out, something, I don't remember if someone I trusted recommended it, or I saw who directed it, or something like that, and with a few years of knowledge I realised it was not what I thought, but I ended up watching it, and hell yeah, that is awesome. all 3 are.
I totally guessed Karl's choice as William Castle.
Love his work. So amazing.
What I hated about Scary Movie is that it's parodying Scream right? Scream is already self aware. Why would you parody a movie that is already playing with tropes?
I say Kyle wins this round, really fun and really interesting. Sure I love talking about the Scream movie, but Kyle just brought it this week. As for the spoof movies, I wish ya brought up Superhero Movie. Also has Leslie Nielson in it, stupid but a decent watch.
I wish this channel was bigger Lucas and Carl are so funny
I took the liberty of writing the cliff notes version of this videos transcript, enjoy:
🎉
Carl: This video was sponsored by the indie film project "I'll be Glad When Your Dead". Today we're talking about the 'Scary Movie' franchise... the 3rd ones okay, that's because it was written by 2 of the people who wrote the movie "Airplane." 'Airplane' was a funny movie, unlike the majority of the movies in the 'Scary Movie' series with the exception of 'Scary Movie 3' of course.
Lucas: The rest of them suck though
Carl: yep
Lucas: They're not very funny
Carl: That is a very accurate statement. The Wayne's Brothers shouldn't be making parodies, they have a horrible reputation.
Lucas: indeed, I agree.
Carl: yes, I know

"or modern south park" you mean the same style of satire they've been doing for the past 15 years?
I don't movie 43 lived up the terrible reviews everyone had of it. Its not a good film, but i don't think its as bad as everyone told me. Mind you, i went in with the expectation that it would be awful years later.
I watched the first scary movie when I was 8 and I enjoyed it. It was an R rated film definitely not targeted for someone my age but the comedy was. Like you said the third film does hold up but the rest it's like I'm too old for this shit.
I mean, winning things by watching is great, but I think this series needs more Speedo Man. Also, you guys should deal with real life problems like the ones we face today, with robots and magic powers.
I have to shoutout Not Another Teen Movie
Not saying Scary movie 3 wasn't funny but the first two were the vest ones and they always will be.
Also, there was never supposed to be a sequel to the original, but the studio forced it because of how successful the first one was.
Watching this at 3:00 spooky hour
11:26 for me that first mivie i ever walked out on was epic movie. I just couldn't stand it. It was getting on my nerves

I personally love Movie 43 specifically because its absolutely trash
I loved the period sketch and the iPod woman thing.
If they want real trash movies, watch some of the movies in the 70s. Just blatant "we want naked women" in our movie.
Has anyone else found themselves in a situation where you're talking to an acquaintance and they reveal that they _LOVE_ Scary Movie, The Big Bang Theory, or Adam Sandler, and you think to yourself " oh my God, I have to reevaluate this entire relatiinship" or at _least_ make a mental note to never ask them what to watch? I can't be the only one.
I do like the scary movie, i think until 4 (are there more?). But BOY DO I HATE tekind of movies that came out because of it, those parody movies are awful, just because it's reference ecery two seconds without a continuous storyline. Say what you want about the first scary movies, there is at least something happening.
Scary movie 1 is the best one
Nah 3 is the best
No 2 is best
I think we can all agree that 5 is the worst 💀
I flip between 2 and 3
I see what you did there.
