    Big shout out to Zach on Twitter who pointed out that there was in fact actually 2 NHL players born in South Dakota, Emil and Oscar Hanson. Who both played a small amount of NHL games in the 1930s!

    Pronunciations! You're killing me! LOL. Tony Amonte is pronounced Ah-mont-ay. Gary Suter is pronounced Suit-er not Sutter of the Sutter brother fame.

    He’s as good as Gomez, but Phoenix Copley was born in Alaska in a town called North Pole, which is basically just a 24/7 Christmas themed town. You guys should look it up it’s pretty cool

    Video idea: could you do a video about the best line in the NHL either past or present that are all from one nation. One example is this past season the leafs ran a line of kerfoot Tavares and Marner for a while and they are all from Canada so I'm wonder if any other NHL team has had an all Sweden line or all Russia or USA...etc?

    Sean Couturier spent most of his minor hockey playing in my hometown in Bathurst, NB. Father is the gm of our QMJHL team, and the road to the arena is called Avenue Sean Couturier

    You are correct about the best player out of the state of Maine. There was another player from Maine who played in the NHL. It was a brief time, but Danny Bolduc played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Calgary Flames in the NHL, plus the New England Whalers of the old WHA! He played 88 games for the Whalers, and 100 games for the Detroit Red Wings, and 2 games with Calgary. He scored 37 goals and had 69 total points.

    Love modano. Hes the pride of the livonia/westland area. I could throw a football right now and hit the mike modano ice arena. Though us wings fans weren't all that happy when mike put a larger- than- the- building- cut out of him wearing stars uniform holding the cup. Im kidding though, I still always looked at it pride for the town, not as a knock on the wings.

    I would give it to Brooks Orpik he was a dominate defenseman for Pittsburgh and Washington. Not that Matthews will not take the title from him in the future but Orpik was a staple of the Penguins defense for many title years.

    A lot of these were really good picks. Patrick Kane and Mike Modano for sure, also TJ Oshie, Chris Chelios, Jeremy Roenick, I appreciated the Eddie Olczyk and Joe Mullen honorable mentions as well. I do feel like Brooks Orpik should have taken it for California though. Also, that Johnny G pick was a bad one. Gaudreau is trash.
