No mention of Mike Modano. Sad.
Exactly
Or Phil Housley
No mention of Mike Richter either…This guy doesn’t know shit. He obsesses about stats. …he’s too young to understand.
That’s what you saying. Get Austin Mathews off this list. He good, great even. And he will probably be one of the greatest Americans ever. But he isn’t there yet
Absolutely ridiculous I think the content makers do this for more clicks and comments.that is what's going on here.
1996 World Cup roster is one of the best national team rosters ever.
Tkachuk - Modano - Guerin
Hull - Weight - Young
LeClair - Smolinski - Amonte
Deadmarsh - LaFontaine - Otto
(McEachern - Konowalchuk - Rolston)
Chelios - Suter
Leetch - D. Hatcher
Schneider - K. Hatcher
(Housley - Chambers)
Richter
Hebert
Carey
They did not have Jeremy Roenick though, but he was one of the great americans at that time as well.
If this video gets a part two, some other American players you can include in that video are Mike Richter, Tom Barrasso, Mike Modano, Joe Pavelski, Joe Mullen, Phil Housley, and the Hatcher brothers, Kevin and Derian.
Love Kaner but Stan Mikita is the greatest Hawk. And Mike Modano belongs on this list.
Mike Richter and Tom Barrasso should have been in the best US goalie conversation as well.
Craig Anderson also had an impressive career considering he was drafted twice
Richter was the first one that crossed my mind. He, Leetch and Gretzky were the Rangers for me when I was a kid.
Ryan Miller is the only US goaltender to be undeniably the best goalie in the world at any point of their careers.
The best in the world? Never. And you’re saying undeniably? Need to back that up buddy.@@axe2grind244
You know Brett Hull has dual citizenship and has represented USA at international levels? 😉
"Yeah but he is born in Canada!"
True, Hull should be on this list, or even as an honorable mention.
Mike Modano or we riot !
Mike Modano played golf, I guess.
How you don't have Mike Modano on this list is mind boggling. The all-time US born leader in goals & points would be enough, especially since his prime years were during the dead puck era. A Stanley Cup champion (two guys on your list have zero). Inducted into both national hockey hall of fame & the US hockey hall of fame. Plus, he carried the Stars on his back when they moved to Dallas. He is the reason hockey has thrived in Texas.
Honorable mention goes to Neal Broten. Scored the championship winning goal in the 79 NCAA championship for the Golden Gophers. Played on the Miracle on Ice gold winning team, also had the best professional career of those players. First winner of the Hobey Baker award as the top college hockey player. 3 time Stanley Cup finalist, winning it in 1995 (also scored the Cup winning goal). A member of the US hockey hall of fame. The first US born player to score 100 points in a season. And the last statistic that no one can ever surpass him is......the only US born player to fight (and win) against Wayne Gretzky! Lol
🇺🇲 🏒 🥅👍🏻
Where's Modano?
Front office jobs with the hawks and wings!?! Chelios will never rest, that man is a workhorse even in retirement 😂
Sorry dude, enjoy your content but this is very flawed in so many ways.
These 21 are THE best players USA have produced:
Mike Modano
Brian Leetch
Pat Lafontaine
Chris Chelios
Brett Hull
Mike Richter
Tom Barrasso
John Vanbiesbrouck
Jonathan Quick
Ryan Miller
Tony Amonte
Phil Housley
John LeClair
Jeremy Roenick
Keith Tkachuk
Doug Weight
Chris Drury
Tony Granato
Joe Mullen
Patrik Kane
Austin Matthews
Love the Drury call. Tage Thompson will be on this list sooner than later. He’s kinda good I heard.
@@axe2grind244 Amen !!!! I wanted to add goalie Guy Hebert to the list but was wondering if he could fit. He was an NHL All-Star and part of 1996 WCH and 1998 OG, but also a shorter top career.
can you make a video of the top 6 best hits thx i love your content
My ALL-TIME BORN IN THE USA "TEAM USA 1st TEAM" would be as follows:
- LW (Tkachuk) C (Modano) RW (Kane) -
- LD (Leetch) RD (Chelios) G (Quick) -
Mike Modano left the chat*
Matthews kinda looked like Jack Nicholson in The Shining in that one photo 😂
Lol a little bit. He is a nightmare for net-minders.
The fact Mike Modano didn’t make this list is crazy. And in fact, this list only included 2 of the top 10 all time in points.
Thanks for the Johnathan Quick love, he will always be a hero in LA.
I think you mean in CBJ
Tom Barrasso
Calder and Vezina awards in rookie season
Back to back Stanley Cups
Hall of Famer
Quite an omission
Would like to see something like this for European players at some point.
What about Ritchter from the Rangers? Undersized goalie who wins cup aslo
Mathews has no place on this list. He is still a pup. No doubt he will be one of the great ones unless he is derailed by injury or attitude. But you can’t call him one of the greatest until he’s earned. Give the spot to an American NHL player who earned that spot.
Auston Matthews has no business being on this list - yet.
Brett Hull should be number 1 number with his 741 goals - yes, 741 goals. And Mike Modano should also be in the top 6.
Patrick Kane is NOT the "greatest Blackhawk of all time"...... maybe in the top 5 ........
Or Tom Barrasso and his square pads lol
Tell me you know nothing about hockey without telling me you know nothing about hockey lmao. That’s all this video tells me with Chelios over Kane and not even a mention of Modano
The funny thing is that most of these guys are of Canadian descent.they were just born in america.no Mike madono?what is up with that?
What happens off the ice should not effect your stats of your legendary on ice performances. You go Kaner
Well it’s a good thing it was proven he was innocent and the accuser lied about pretty much everything.
Mike is no question the greatest american hockey player. I grew up cheering for him and waited and you got him a scorer and he did the impossible. almost did it again had it not been for the greatest goalie ever. whats the impossible? getting Belfore a cup lol in texas. chris and jeremy both couldnt do that together in a well established hockey city. they are awesome as well but they couldnt beat mario and jagr same as modano in 91. mike also has way more fn points in less games and it aint for lack of wanting to play more. I like that you had mathews i was unaware he was american he is quite a talented -player. Very good scorer I watched him monday night for the first time and he reminded me of another player it wasnt chris or jeremy. Hat trick pain or katrick payne or patrick kane is the only acceptable choice in your list for greatest as like modano he did the impossible he got chicago a cup. 3 of them. however they had an awesome netminder each time and a decent team hossa and toews and keith are all next level seabrook. ol hatrick is 2. im a chicago fan cause my dad so just for that reason i choose jeremy and chris {for his post career work} over Phil Hously but i mean i am being very bias. if kane had of played with belfore i believe he could have done er so i would tie him and he may pass modano in scoring but every point in the 90s was worth 2 in a sense for how halved every thing was and i mean goalie golden age they had arrived. patricia marty hasek people try and bs me that belfore was something lol. osgood. All the factors weighed in here's a fairer list. I am a die hard hockey fan and a maritimer hockey was claimed to be invented 8 hours away from where i grew up in both directions. this game comes like instinct to me. as a very young kid watching gretzky and mario i liked modano more and i stand by it. He is hands down honoray canadian in my eyes and will always be hands down my favorite player. #lynchbabcock lol i was gonna sub but \o/ the fffffffff
sorry supposed to be 6 lafontane then
So Auston Matthews over players like Roenick (THE best American born player without Cup), Modano and Brett Hull (yea yea, dual citizenship whatever). Jonathan Quick over Miller, Richter and Vanbiesbrouck? You high?
Not even a Mike Richter mention
The only advantage Chelios has on Leetch is longevity but in their primes, it's not really close. Leetch was better than Chelios and better than Kane in my opinion. Leetch was a Defenseman and Kane is a forward, and Kane only in recent years caught up to Leetch in points. And Leetch played a good chunk of his career in the dead puck era. Leetch carried the 94 Rangers on his back. Kane has 3 cups but he was on stacked Blackhawk teams. Kane is overrated in my opinion. Leetch is the greatest American player ever.
Yea Johnny Quick! LETS GO!!! GKG!
bro left madano off lmao pathetic
Can you like this top 6 hockey?
Parick Kane is not better than Bobby Orr
Yikes I know the dude won 2 Cups but I don’t think Jon Quicks prime was near Ryan Millers. There was a 2-3 year stretch where Miller was the best goalie in the world.
I think Auston Matthews, an American player, is just a victim of being in a Canadian market, which has so much pressure.
