2016 was the best U20 i have ever watched, the Finnish talent was insane. Pulaaho🥇 everyone knew that when the 3 Huge talents went to the field the opponents should be afraid. They played everything so perfectly, Probably the best Finnish U20 team that has ever been.

I think it says something about us Finns gold medals in these years that always we've had the lead at some point in the third period and then managed to lose it and then win it again. Always dramatic

I remember a year when Canada got away with everything in the final against Sweden. They body checked the Swedish goalie twice and got no penalty either time and they were hooking, did tripping and all sorts and nothing and Sweden got called for the smallest thing. The penalties Sweden got that was nothing made them lose the game and Canada should have had at least 8 boxplays and maybe even a 5+20.
3:30 This gold medal tasted so good at the time. Beating Sweden in their home rink while the refs gave some shocking penalties to us which lead to Sweden equalising to 2-2...
Sweden could have easily had at least 2-3 more gold medals...USA in 2013, Finland in 2014 and Canada 2018...its not like they got blown out, they just barely lost.
And most recently in 2023, Canada defeats Czechia 3-2 in OT to win gold again, thereby becoming the first country to win back-to-back gold medals in 10 years. Overall, Canada has now won 20 world junior championships. Finland and the US have both won 5, Russia 4, and Sweden and Czechia tied at 2.
Man I love watching these highlights without hearing the mundane jibber jabber of play by play announcers and colour commentary!!! If I have to listen to Ray Ferraro talk about his playing career one more time I’m going to kill myself!! I wish there was a way to watch hockey with just the game sounds! Life would be great
