I wanted to put in the Matt Halischuk goal against Sweden in the 2008 World Juniors but couldn't get any decent quality footage.
Bring back nhl olympics!
Yes please!
Straight up
man i still can’t believe it’s gone, was always so fun
No one can handle the Canadians lol
there should be no reason Germany should be in the gold medal game...bring back nhl players for Beijing!!
Almost 10 years later I think its clear Crosby's golden goal in 2010 is going to be looked at for a very long time. We'll be talking about it still in 50 years.
McDavid has dreams/nightmares about that goal I think.
Why would mcdavid have nightmares about that goal?
@@chaseaspen8904 because the way things are going, he's not going to have the opportunity to play for an Olympic medal
True... just a weird way to look at it I guess. Don't think it affects him at all.
agreed.. gives me goosebumps still lol
Replacing Pierre McGuire with Ray Ferraro is one of the greatest decisions in Canadian history
"i can" almost ruins that moment for me
That's OK the call and circumstance of the 2022 WJC SUMMER Gold medal game completely makes up for it and thats missing here
Honestly Ray isn't bad but Mike Johnsons actually so much better now
Sids goal gives me chills everytime I see it
That goal by Crosby will give me chills for the rest of my life, what a moment!
Captain Canada 💯💯💯💯
man i have watched the Eberlie and Crosby goals a million times and i still get chills.
Team Canada is so intimidating. Their roster always has the best player in the league or top prospect. Powerhouse
Most the time there missing a bunch of there too players is the crazy part
Who's here after Hayton and Thomas?
Yea this video needs an update
@@standinonstilts after this year
Here after cozens and krebs
Let’s be honest we all clicked on this video knowing what #1 was gonna be
I'll never forget that Crosby golden goal. You could feel the ground shake in Canada with everyone jumping at the same time.
That John Tavares hatty was insane!
bruh like half are against USA...
Old habits die hard
proud to say i saw each and every one of these moments Live on TV!!! Go Canada Go!!!! #hockeyisourgame #hockeylife
#canadahockey
I still remember that famous line.. "SIDNEY CROSBY THE GOLDEN GOAL AT CANADA"...
cant describe that feeling..
New one today at worlds!!!!Severson 0.4! 🍁🍁
Yeah I was thinking of that while watching, nice pass by Dubois on the OTG for Stone too. Definitely would’ve made the list.
Another legendary moment
Yes sir!
Sadly canada lost agains Finland in the gold game.
Finland🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
Watching this in 2021 and i still get the chills from that eberle goal with5.4 seconds left. Same for the crosby golden goal. Love this!
Something about that Crosby's Olympic game winner reminds me of something recent, but I can't put my finger on it.
Tsarmanderi goal against Edmonton?
Lol ik know where that’s from
Lmao underrated comment of the year
Explain
Connor Mills explain please?
Glad you included the ladies. They have made Canada proud so many times
Golden goal was something else. I got it framed and signed by sid the kid from my father who isnt here anymore. What a memory
Iconic goal for sure. Good for you for getting that photo signed and framed.
Still, I don't consider it a pretty goal by any measure. I thought it was a ugly goal from the moment it went in. I never saw this as a 'golden goal'. This goal was ugly and it won a gold medal for my team.
Keep in mind, I was born and raised in Vancouver. I lost my shit when Crosby scored this goal; Canada won in my home city. I still think this goal is overrated, though. Compare Crosby's goal to Joe Sakic's epic breakaway 5-2 goal in 2002...
I will remember that goal for the rest of my life....
Crosby Screams "IGGY" for that pass from Iginla and the entire planet heard him tell it. so fitting Crosby has the greatest goal scored in Canada hockey history
People wonder why us canadians are so good at hockey. We eat and sleep hockey from a young age. We sweat, bleed and break bones for this sport. We donate teeth to the ice. And at the end of the game we can do nothing but smile because we have nothing but love for that pain and punishment.
The iggy heard around the world
Almost 9 years ago since the Golden Goal and I still get teary eyed. One of the most exciting moments of my life
Braeden Tangjerd me too ❤️
Canada owns the sport of hockey! Absolute best players in the world 🇨🇦🏒
that pass by Iginla is pure legend
The 2018 gold medal game was one of the best hockey games in recent years
May be a bit older, but Kariya in 2002 was a thing of beauty, and a huge goal for Canada in that game.
Good call with the number 2 selection.
The last one gave me chills?!
Toughest "Try Not To Smile" video I've seen yet
THE BEST USA PLAYS IVE EVER SEEN! !!!
Listen to that awkward silence after the Eberle goal. Gord knows Pierre just ruined one of the greatest moments in Canadian Hockey.
Loved seeing Poulin in here!
Wow, that was incredible to watch! WISH we had Ice hockey here!!!
Crosby deserves all credit for creating that goal...with huge honourable mention to Iginla on the desperate perfect pass. Crosby took the puck from his own blue line. Broke thru three defenders to get it deep. Retrieved it. Punched it back to Iggy. The out hustled Rafalski to get inside position. Then yelling "IGGY!" He saw the whole thing unfold. Then fluke shot? No. A hard-wired brain to see an opening in a split-second. This is what athletes do. Golden Goal. Iconic.
I still think that the world junior us vs can game (#8) was one of the best games I ever watched,. That year had so many inane moments I was crushed when they didn’t win gold
Canada did win that U18 Hlinka/Gretzky tournament that summer.
all of the recent world jr clips, i get goosebumps
I got to witness goal #6 live, and as a leafs fan its the only time ive been happy for a marchand goal
we all already knew what was gonna be #1 before we even clicked this video
Did I miss the women's game from Vancouver. The USA defenceman tries for the open net, puck spots inches before the net. Canada comes back to win. And they had been down quite a bit in the game, and came back. Women's hockey has come so far. It's amazing to see how far the quality has come in the last 20 years.
that crosby golden goal tho... man...
prolly the greatest goal in international play... miracle on ice is hard to beat tho..
Tavares thank you
You could hear a pin drop in Vancouver before Crosby scored. Epic.
I still get goosebumps from that 2010 goal
"IGGY!"
You gotta make a part two of this after what we just saw in the 2022 wjc
Connor Bedard OT Winner vs Slovakia just got added to this list!
Man I still get chills when I hear Crosby yell iggy for the pass to score
After the world juniors this year it might be time to update this
Anyone else notice how the boys celebrated like 10 times harder than the girls
Crosby vs USA and the Miracle on Ice should be tied for the greatest Olympic moments of all time!
The only reason I can still stomach Pierre is I was physically at that Eberle goal game and didn't have to listen to him botch that call, lol.
3 and 4 at are by far my favs!!
Genuinely believe ryan ellis was the best captain to ever play for us in the WJC
Could you do the same for other national teams?
Yeah sure, got a preference? Sweden, US, Finland, Russia... Kazakhstan?
@@The_Boulster F I N L A N D!🇫🇮
Darkazodium KAPPOOOOOO KAKKOOOOOO
CZECH REPUBLIC!!! PLEASE.
The Boulster do all the teams except US Fuck US
i was at that Hlinka Cup game in edmonton 4th row behind USA net it was UNREAL
7:00 i was at that game, one of the best experiences ever
That world juniors team was STACKED
Paul Henderson 72. Without that goal, you do not have a professional(Crosby) score in an amateur competition(Olympics). Hockey has been around more than a hundred years, respect it's history.
@@DonKnight-qi4tu the title says “past 10 years” and was posted in 2018 so only goals from 2008-2018
@@The_Boulster I know what the title said. Hockey has more than a 10 year history. There was also a time when the Olympics were for amateur players, Canada's best were in the NHL, Russia's best were in the army. Due to the uneven playing field Canada stopped competing internationally. In 1972 an agreement was reached that would allow NHL stars, so no Bobby Hull, no Gordie Howe, who both jumped to the WHA and no Bobby Orr, rehabbing a knee operation, to complete against Russia. 37 seconds in 1-0 Canada and 2-0 by the 6 minute mark. We found out how good Russia was, living and training together 24-7-365 losing the opener 7-3. After 5 games it was 3-1 Russia with a tie, Canada had to win the last 3 games in Moscow, enter Henderson, who scored the winner in all 3, the last one in the final minute, after suffering a game 6 concussion. Without that series, there may not have been Syd's 2010 magic moment. That is why that is the most important goal in Canadian hockey history. I remember where I was 52 years ago.
i still throw my hands up when i watch crosby score the golden goal
i miss being able to go to a sold out hockey game :(
Thats Crosby goal though! Man i got hammered drunk that night
world juniors are the best, no question
That women’s gold medal game was unreal. I was having lunch at the bar and told my friend the bartender I’ll stay for one more beer if the US doesn’t get a shutout. I stayed till 2am....
i like how most of the games came down to final seconds and team canada is like :alright we should probably win eh
Watching this while watching 2023 IIHF Juniors.
NOW we await for Connor Bedard’s time carrying Team Canada on his back 🔥 LETS GO CANADA 🇨🇦 🥇
You have to have a updated list with Connor Bedard and Mason McTavish
2023 update: Connor bedard
Pouline is the greatest catch canada player if all time!
Okay, Crosby got the Golden Goal, but what a pass from Iginla.
Just something about scoring on the US just makes it all the sweeter
Toews triple shootout should be top 5. That’s how good it was.
This playlist shows how good Toews acctually is.
As a Canucks fan i lot of respect for captain serious.
Ps when Poulin tied it then won it that gave me chills! Girls can play too!
Made me tear up too not gonna lie that was phenomenal.
Was
He was never really that good though. No hate to him but he’s not as good as people make him out to be.
j'adore!
I will never forgive Pierre McGuire for absolutely ruining that Eberle goal call.
“i cAN!”
just why Pierre
The Boulster IT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION, PIERRE
God i love canada
i love john tavares fuck the haters. people hate marchand until he puts on a canadian jersey 😂 that golden goal call still gives me chills
As much as I love and respect our Sisters and Brothers to the south.... once the puck has dropped its like sibling rivalry.
¡Aquí un tico viendo la grandeza de los canadienses!
The hockey in Canada is a religion
It's truly a way of life
GEAUX CANADA!!!
Iggy’s no-look pass to Crosby for GOLD
Best golden goal in Canadian history 🇨🇦
Video has been updated to add Connor Bedard's OT goal vs Slovakia. You know the one
I knew that Crosby golden goal was going to be number one did anyone all’s
1:57 that face tho lmaoooooo
The nostalgia of the NHL olympics
You know what John Tavares was a great player in the WJC.
the goal at the Ivan hlinka, man canada got away with one
It ain’t gonna be the same this year man :(
The only time Brad Marchand gets a standing ovation.
Tavares took the Americans personally.
I was at the Hlinka Gretzky and surprisingly a lot of seats were empty
The Pierre call on Eberle's goal is even worse in hindsight than I remember. Ruined one of the most iconic moments in World Junior history.
Where’s the Jerome Iginla goal??
jarome iginla is a canadian hockey player icon
Crosby❤️
So unfortunate that John Tavares’s best years were wasted in Long Island. Guy would’ve put up multiple 40+ goal seasons
go Canada go !!!!
This list is not complete with out Paul Henderson's pretty game seven winner and grinder GWG in game 8 for the 1972 Summit series win. Sorry son, but those 2 goals transcend time and we still talk about those goals today and remember 50 years ago almost to the date seeing the school room clock at 2:45. Not sure if that was when Henderson got the goal or if it was really stressful but I can see the hands of the clock as vividly today as I could in grade 6 at the time. That series changed hockey for the better.
