Absolutely stunning mate and some useful tips. You really are the Master of Poppy Field Photography and a true inspiration to others. Very well done and stay cool!
Thank you so much for watching David and for the super generous comments ! I hope you’re keeping well and not melting in this heat ! It’s unbearable already and worse to come !
I suffer from a very painful bladder disease so this plant definitely gives me relief, however it is also stunning to view these beautiful flowers on a beautiful countryside, with your special talent of capturing it’s true beauty. 👍 ❤️
Great video Daniel, always a great watch. You have such a nice way of presenting your videos, very relaxing to watch every time. Amazing field of poppies, never seen one before. Great information about the field as well and loved the "Respect The Field" graphic - spot on. Also really liked the quick edits in this one. The shots from 2015 & 2016 were beauties but I think the shot of the video was the pano - loved seeing St. George's flag flying high above the church. Great stuff as always. Have a great week and stay cool over their the next couple of days. Florida hot in the UK! 🔥
Thanks so much for watching paul, always really grateful for the detailed feedback ! Always nice to receive such positive words ! Not looking forward to the next couple of days here Paul, I really don’t like the heat ! Hope you’re keeping well my friend and thank is again for your support !
That’s such an amazing compliment Ray, thank you so much ! I’m really trying to up the quality of the production on these, still got so much to learn about video production but having great fun along the way ! As always, thank you so much for your support !
Wow what a spot, wonderful poppies. And some lovely light. I would normally Prefer an image that’s sharp throughout but the softer foreground works really well to keep all the attention on the church and you are aware of the lovely poppies rather than bouncing between the two. Nicely done!
Really appreciate that Chris, thanks so much ! I prefer the focus fall off too on this one, I know others will differ but this is my favourite way to shoot it when there is a firm subject in the scene I think
Loved some of the zoom transitions and the little side graphics on this one mate, very slick ! Lovely location of the three images you showed all were great but I really liked the panoramic image .
Thanks so much for watching Lee, like you I’ve been playing around a bit with after effects and premier pro, so much to learn but loving doing it ! Thanks lee
Great Video Daniel, you must spend a lot of time looking for these compositions, what a wonderful spot!, I prefer the soft foreground focus, the pano is great! Fantastic Video, thanks for sharing
Thanks very much Tony, to be fair I didn’t spend too much time searching on this one as I know the shot well already and there’s not many areas you can shoot it from without it looking the same ! Really appreciate you watching ! Hope you’re well
Thanks so much mate, it’s been a split between the two so it’s interesting to see that people have clear preferences on stacked or single shot ! Hope you’re keeping well and selling plenty of pics
Well done Daniel. Super vlog again and great shots. You will have to show us that Opium field in August. We’ll take the left overs. Some great shots here in the past also and so right about the need for light. The sun always shines in Dorset……….always. 🤣. Another great location. F.
Sadly Ferg Its already done :( drove past today and no petals at all :( I’ll show you plenty of other great places though ! Thanks so much for watching Ferg and hope you’re staying safe in this heat !
Outstanding as always, really informative for both shooting and the poppies themselves. If I had to pick a favourite poppy shot it would be the one at 11.12 and your previous one with the wheat is stunning! Great job Dan, keep it up 👏
@@sotonrob I know the feeling ! I really hate the heat plus I have to be extra careful with my dog too, he can’t go out in it ! Seems like it’s dropping tonight though so maybe a chance to get out again !
Daniel hi great find there mate I've seen a few photos pop up on social media from there. Like you say nothing seems to stay secret these days. great video and some cracking images I'm torn between the out of focus for ground and the in focus foreground think I'll go with the blurred out foreground. Thanks for sharing it with us take care Trev
Sadly it always happens now Trev, so many people shooting here and sharing on the internet ! Thanks so much for watching and hope you’re keeping well and avoiding the heat !
Another cracking video, Daniel. Very professional-looking presentation. For me, the foreground blur works best, drawing the eye through to the church. Did you shoot all the vid on the evening I met you, or did you get chance to re-visit for extra footage ?
Hi Nigel, great to see you down there and thanks so much for watching. Yes the footage is a mixture of two days as I couldn’t get everything on the day as we were having to contend with people walking in the shot, which coincidently happened on the second visit again too !
I shot them in 2019, but not that field though. I had a failed Sixpenny Handley shot in the morning, then found them as I wandered around looking for a plan B, so I didn’t waste a 5 hour round trip. The shot wasn’t up to much, but it was nice just to see them as a spectator rather than a photographer.
Thanks for watching mate, yea there was a field not too far from Dutch barn, shame you didn’t get the shot but sometimes it’s just nice to be there as you say
Great to see your take on this. I shot this in some early morning light with my 200 mm lens. I could have been more creative with the foreground blur though. They are tricky to get right. Your shots are awesome!
Thank you so much Christine, I really appreciate your comments ! Morning light was my preferred shot to be honest but I just couldn’t get down there for it in time so I had to make do with what I got ! Thanks so much for watching !

Absolutely stunning beauty! Gods gift to us all. The most beautiful plant on this planet, I believe.
It’s certainly a very special flower that brings relief to many, natures gift ! Thank you so much for watching
