Thank you so much for your video! I’m a young widow who had a handy husband and now I’m trying to be handy. But I could not figure out how to set up this retractable knife until I watched your excellent video. At first I thought I’d bought a piece of junk knife but now it’s together, I think it’s well designed and safer (around children) than what we had before.

I can’t even get this to work. I’ve looked at your video over and over and over again, and I can’t seem to get the blade on the rail as you say. I’m doing everything right, but when I push on the button, it doesn’t wanna lock anywhere. Oh my God. I’m gonna have to buy a whole other box cutter.

I give up. I thought I had it together, but even with the screw in, a couple of the areas don’t match together, so now the blade doesn’t even work. I’m just gonna throw it away and it wasn’t even old.

Great video making this piece of garbage look easy. I applaud you. I mean it. I worked with this for 10 minutes, put it back together 3 separate time and it never worked right. Why would anyone buy one of these over the ones you just push a release button and slide a new blade in and out.
I got two of these in a package and I'll just be giving them away.
    YOU did a great job.
This product is amazingly difficult for something so simple.

I’m cutting Amazon boxes to become Guinea pig hidie houses and finally bought a box cutter. (I had been using old scissors.) I never imagined that the cutter needs to be unscrewed in order to change the blade! After all these years I would have thought an easier method would have been introduced. Oh well, at least I know how to put in a new blade now. Thank you!
