One of the best reviews I've seen! I appreciate how detailed yet "to the point" your description of each lipstick was. I purchased the Colour Blitz trio, but your swatches are making me regret not getting the Skin Show trio too 😭
Thank you so much. I immediately clicked "Follow" as soon as I saw your arm swatches. I just swatched these in Sephora (USA) and this is the first time I've seen a RUclipsr with such a similar skin tone! This makes me so excited!
No joke here! this is so far the best review on this product ever plus so many dupes! LOVE IT few tips for darker shades: 1) prefer to use a gel lip liner first and smudge it, 2) put one single layer on, finishing my complexion makeup, 3) once it is dry I apply the second layer, wait just few more minutes (putting earrings and so on), 4) blot any excess left with face powder. Sounds lots of work (and it is!) but the finish is really matte, pigmented, and stays lots of hours (even drinking/eating/kissing) it just slightly fades in the inner part of your lips...but what lipstick does not ;)
This video was so helpful - thank you! All of these colours look gorgeous on you. I'm really tempted by the Skin Show trio, especially Omi. Do you remember which colours you mixed at the lip lab to create your custom Bite lipstick? It's beautiful.
Aww, thank you! Glad you found it helpful :-) Ahh I honestly can't remember which colours were used to mix - I did get it written down on a card so if I find it I will let you know. Have you created a custom lip before? Coincidentally, Pat McGrath re-created my perfect nude lipstick!
Thanks so much for this helpful video, years later! Since her sale is going on right now, I wanted to get the real deal from RUclips with actual swatches in natural light. I'm also considering some of your dupes, if I can find them. Thanks again!
imperial diamond it's a really beautiful shade 😁 ! I wore it in my previous video too cause it's also one of my favourites. Thank you - glad you found it helpful 😙
You wear all the shades beautifully! I wanted to skip full panic but I think I'll grab it. As you know, I picked the nude set. It's much more dark on me and the only shade I can wear without mixing with lighter lipsticks is 1995 (and it's still dark). But I'm happy anyway to have a few of these lipsticks
Thank you! I saw you did ^^ I can definitely see how they might not look very nude on paler skin. It's always hard to find a nude that suits one's skin tone. I'm actually glad they're not too light because I get worried that I'll look like I have concealer lips!! I did really enjoy Full Panic because I don't have many shades like that and it's a really lovely fuchsia.
I loved this video Melissa, you Ve done an amazing job with the swatches and dupes,i totally agree on how hard it is for us to get a lot of makeup in Australia, luckily netaporte started carrying PatMcgrath but still don't have everything.Especially when you pay for shipping so much,I am expecting immediate delivery ,not in two weeks, that's a bit disappointing using the website.🤗
Hey lovely,no I haven't yet,but I want to,I really liked Melissa's lip swatches, loved the nudes and the fuschia one looks beautiful on her, have you picked up the nude set?how do you like them?
I love the colors on Melissa. Unfortunately I'm quite pale (NW15) and the only nude that I find acceptable is 1995. The formula is nice, very thin, I feel my lips a bit dry after some hours but less than other mattes. I will probably buy another one, but I find the colors a bit.. basic? 😘
Thanks Carol!! I hope you will get to try these out if they can ever get their act together and make it easier for us aussies!! I've had a good experience with Net A Porter as it's only $10 shipping to Australia and like ABH, it took only 3 business days to arrive to Melbourne. I was very impressed so hopefully they stock more there.
I can sort of see how each shade might be considered "nude" for different skin tones -- 1995 for pale, OMI for medium and Flesh 3 for darker skin tones. I think it's good Pat McGrath considered different skin tones but agree the three won't necessarily work as your typical "nudes" / my lips but better kinds of shades. And yeah, nothing particularly ground breaking with the shade range but I think they are universally flattering and it is quite a nice formula.
This is so helpful and you look gorgeous! I'm currently trying to figure out whether to buy Deep Void from Pat McGrath (the shades look so good on you, I love Omi now too! )
Glad you found it helpful! Deep Void is so gorgeous. I wore it not too long ago. Nice vampy shade. A bit fussier to apply as with most deep shades but it's beautiful!
Great review!!! Omi looks beautiful, and I am a sucker for reds....these looked stunning! Btw I think a great dupe for Full Panic would be Alpha from UD.
This was a FABULOUS review. None of these shades look anything like this on the Sephora website, so your swatches were very helpful. They are $38 in the US, which is PRICY... I might pick up one, but I have over 100 lipsticks, so it's not like I need more. HAHA.
Thank you - glad it was helpful! Converted to AUD they worked out to be approx $50 which is equivalent to a Nars Audacious lipstick or Hourglass lipstick here so definitely high-end! Haha, and yes I know how you feel!
Honestly, if not blotted, I don't think they look matte at all. Thank you for being honest about that. Sometimes I doubt myself because I only tried them in store but do now own one. And not many people mention that. So thank you.
Yeah they're not quite as matte looking as the promo pictures and in general I find that the Pat McGrath photos makeup everything look better than in real life!! X-D She's definitely hired some very talented marketing people.
Yes girl this is your perfect nude! Love it on you. New subscriber your vids are so beautifully edited and love your talk through style. Also. They literally all look amazing on you!
I'm probably not the best person to do a video on hooded eyes as I don't have hooded eyes myself or have anyone to demo with, however I'd recommend checking out Lisa Eldridge or Wayne Goss's channels who have some great videos on hooded eyes!
I totally agree. There's obviously demand for her products but the fact that they're so hard to get is frustrating. Hopefully Net a Porter will stock them - the shipping is very quick too!
omg! thanks alot for costing a fortune to make this video 😘😘😘, it is super helpful, specially for me 😁😂. This makeup look makes you so stunning. Which shade (of MAC doundation) do you often use? cause i wanna compare your skintone to mine before i pay 38$ for a lipstick 😂😂😭😭
The shade No shame from the loreal ultra-matte nudes collection (the one with the two tone pink nude packaging) is an exact dupe for 1995 and has the same soft matte finish. it's the same pinky greige nude tone. Now it seems loreal copied 1995, as I was wondering since when did a drug store brand start making such unique colours.... guess they took inspiration that's why lol.
I noticed she now does free shipping to Australia from her website but I'm put off by the overly wasteful packaging that I would prefer to pick things up in store if I can.
yes she s great hahah im also addicted to dior make up and estee lauder la prairie skin care by the way i ve been in sydney few years ago on holidays, beautiful, but i must order by her at once max 150$ in order to avoid custom tax in Switzerland
Ky Severe Usually I use the Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover - hands down best I've makeup remover I've tried for stubborn make up! If it's non-waterproof I just use some micellar water.
One of the best reviews I've seen! I appreciate how detailed yet "to the point" your description of each lipstick was. I purchased the Colour Blitz trio, but your swatches are making me regret not getting the Skin Show trio too 😭
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy the ones you got. Hopefully there's a restock and you can pick up more if you like them :-)
Sara so true I totally second your comment!
lezlie maarcker thank you 😊

Claudia Dessi Thank you! And thanks for the tip. I really need to invest in some good lip liners!
Thank you for the tips! I've always had problems applying dark colors... Do you have any cheaper liner recommendations?
Beautiful 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾enjoyed the video👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great video, thank you! Love that you included dupes and showed the colours in a natural light!
Wow! All the colours look so good on you!
Thank you -- I think they would work on a variety of different skin tones too!
the shades look so nice! loved seeing the swatches
Best review in RUclips for these lipsticks 💄💄

Thank you! I've never been, but I've always wanted to go. I think I would make a nude similar to this and a bolder shade.
Thanks so much for this helpful video, years later! Since her sale is going on right now, I wanted to get the real deal from RUclips with actual swatches in natural light. I'm also considering some of your dupes, if I can find them. Thanks again!
glad to hear it's still helpful after all these years 😘
Flesh is my favorite, i might pick it up! Great video, supremely informative 😍

Hello Carol! Have you picked any lipstick?

Thanks so much :-) Hope you get to try them out!

Mariam A. Thank you 😘 Haha me too. Good to know!
I keep forgetting about Mars by Coloured Raine. I need it! Not only is that my nickname but it's my favorite type of lipstick shade aside from reds.

Video idea...comparing the new lisa Eldridge lipsticks to these. I would be curious to see if any of them are similar.
Yes girl this is your perfect nude! Love it on you. New subscriber your vids are so beautifully edited and love your talk through style. Also. They literally all look amazing on you!
lezlie maarcker Thank you so much 😘😙 Appreciate the kind words!
Lady Danger from MAC is also a really good dupe for Obsessed!
reallytanasian Cheers, good to know!
Enjoyed your content
Could you maybe do a video on how to open up hooded eyes?
I'm probably not the best person to do a video on hooded eyes as I don't have hooded eyes myself or have anyone to demo with, however I'd recommend checking out Lisa Eldridge or Wayne Goss's channels who have some great videos on hooded eyes!
These look goeorgous but way too much effort is required to source them. If they ever make their way on net a porter I may try a couple
I totally agree. There's obviously demand for her products but the fact that they're so hard to get is frustrating. Hopefully Net a Porter will stock them - the shipping is very quick too!

The drugstore is upping their lipstick game! I definitely think there is a market for it as the PML ones are something like $60AUD a pop!!
Good point on shipping costs. Ridiculous.
I noticed she now does free shipping to Australia from her website but I'm put off by the overly wasteful packaging that I would prefer to pick things up in store if I can.
darling i did receive the decadence palett now i wait for subliminal back in stock then i buy the lipsticks
Looks like you are addicted to Pat McGrath like me haha!
