REALLY cool idea for a video. Very nice input from the pastor. It would be awesome to get him to react to other controversial videos with possible 'biblical' themes. I like that he spoke detached and made objective observations but ultimately giving his opinion. Keep it up!
To me the part of this song that just grips me and is by far the saddest is just following WW1. It was “the war to end all wars”. We finally saw just how grotesque and inhumane we can become and collectively said never again. But then only 20 years later, decided we just hadn’t had enough. Given the theme of the album and the idea of the Fermi paradox and the “great filter” concept to solve it. If there ever was a time we were faced with the great filter it was then, and we failed to pass through. We didn’t learn then and never will. Basically meaning we will be the instrument of our own destruction in the end, and the die is cast.
I understand he is focusing on the "spiritual" parts of the song but how could anyone listen to that song without commenting Syns awesome tapping and Brooks amazing drums?;)
It just shows the history of the human violence. That we never truly learn our lessons. We should learn from the violence and mistakes but we never seem to.
Amazing how the pastor nailed on those carnival, biblical, etc themes in the beginning just from the audio; that's exactly what's going on in the music video.
You guys should look into Tool, the band with the most spiritual and transcendental lyrics, and mindblowing instrumental, I recommend "Reflection" or "Parabola", but I warn you, it's not about this western religion stuff (in my opinion, bullshit in most part, with exception of Christ teachings itself and some other things), but the eastern enlightment paths: theosophy, buddhism, etc.
Jesus? you guys are nuts. The lyrics are about Giordano Bruno, a philosopher who contributed a lot to cosmology and proposed what was the most accurate model of space for his time. He died in the Roman inquisition.
UltraGaming23 well, the album is science based so I don't think a song about Jesus would fit in very well, but anyways I didn't mean to be rude or anything.
ok so a major theme of this album was simulation theory. where some advanced entity could have created us. the song tells the story of humanity growing up. while something watches us. death being the puppet master of the show.
Video based on a quote " I don't know what weapons will be used in wwlll. I do know exactly what weapons will be used in wwlV. Sticks and stones." Albert Einstein
I perceived the chorus “Who is the crowd that peers through the cage, As we perform here upon the stage?” As humans living on “the stage” being the earth and the crowd being a god or the galaxy, solar system etc.
I’d say the video is about mankind’s obsession with war and conquering and how eventually our destructive nature will lead us right back to where we started. Avenged Sevenfold got deep with this album. I love it.
Did they really miss the real intended message? It's saying were living in a simulation creates by higher dimensional entities, a scientific theory by theoretical scientists, nontheless, still, a good video, love ur channel 👍
I love their death bat logo I want to get a tattoo of the death bat to show my devotion to them! I'm a die hard avenged sevenfold fan! My husband gets upset cuz I play them so much!
ky99999999 well... take it all in in silence. And then if u agree or disagree it’s okay because it gives the impression at least that you had given it a true listen.
Well, “Chapter Four” is about Cain and Abel, and “Beast and the Harlot” is about the fall of Babylon if you’re looking for religion-themed songs
Imagine this pastor react to a little piece of heaven
:)

Please react to Save Me by Avenged Sevenfold
My favorite by this band

Thanks! We will keep em coming!

Was anyone else waiting to hear him say,
"Wait, was that Hillary?"

I JUST now realized that the album art is a space version of the deathbat 😂
I understand he is focusing on the "spiritual" parts of the song but how could anyone listen to that song without commenting Syns awesome tapping and Brooks amazing drums?;)

Nate Lintz hes watching the video genius, it shows a carnival like tent in the beginning
I assume they're watching the lyric video, genius, based on their passed videos.
Nate Lintz
He's definitely watching the video clip, he commented on the handshake, spring and the 'shadowy puppet master'
They said they had 2 songs to and they didn’t know how to finish them so they combined them and The Stage was born badass song for a badass band
Have him react to Exist by avenged sevenfold see how he feels about it
Esteban 37 that would be a long video lmao
Love that song but would not call it a spiritual theme.
I actually seen a video not to long ago about how this video and song has to do with occultism so it's nice to see your guys take and input.

Roger interesting, we have several new songs we are working on and can put it on our list.-Andy
Great reaction to a great song! I see Kevin went to Rock on the Range this year (I bought the same shirt hehe!)
Tommy Devine yes he did, but he doesn’t want anyone knowing his name is “Kevin”😮

JmanBassTric 364 your trying to give this man a heart attack. 😂
Dude thanks, I laughed so hard at that
Lmao😂😂😂
Lol
The suprising thing is he actually didnt call the song satanic. And yes he reacted to it.
You should definitely have him react to roman sky
Jonathan Ledoux Good idea. I legitimately thought that it was about Jesus when I first heard it.
Isaiah Richardson I did too. The lyrics line up fairly well.
Jesus? you guys are nuts. The lyrics are about Giordano Bruno, a philosopher who contributed a lot to cosmology and proposed what was the most accurate model of space for his time. He died in the Roman inquisition.
Jon and the average person would know this how?
UltraGaming23 well, the album is science based so I don't think a song about Jesus would fit in very well, but anyways I didn't mean to be rude or anything.
I wish the music was louder
its for copyright reasons
wasn't he surprised when they sing about jesus christ and about the sin of the snake?
REALLY good analysis being thrown out with just minutes of thinking. Very reflected and with a wide perspective of things!
I feel like Chapter Four would be another good song to react to.
ok so a major theme of this album was simulation theory. where some advanced entity could have created us. the song tells the story of humanity growing up. while something watches us. death being the puppet master of the show.
The chorus is also looking at Earth instead of a live band according to Matt (M. Shadows)... who is the crowd who watches mankind/Earth?
Duke Mitchell good question..,
Video based on a quote
" I don't know what weapons will be used in wwlll. I do know exactly what weapons will be used in wwlV. Sticks and stones."

I perceived the chorus “Who is the crowd that peers through the cage,

This album has alot to do with the matrix, paradoxes, occultism, and the higher power. I can go deep but it's some crazy stuff that'll trip y'all out
I’d say the video is about mankind’s obsession with war and conquering and how eventually our destructive nature will lead us right back to where we started. Avenged Sevenfold got deep with this album. I love it.
Can you please react to Avenged Sevenfold - Requiem ??
KevinMDXXVII definitely

It's literally the polar opposite of spiritual. It's a science themed album.
