Hello dear friends, Happy Beltane to anyone else celebrating! (technically on 1st May) This is my favourite month and time of year! I love celebrating the Pagan and Celtic festivals and celebrations that are still celebrated in the UK nowadays too...I find them so beautiful and interesting and I connect with them alot. This week, I spent alot of time reflecting upon the years I've lived in London, a very busy and loud city, and how by finding ways to re-connect with any nature I could find, I realised was ultimately the key to re-kindling a more peaceful relationship with my own self. Today I want to share this story and journey with you as nature made a tremendous impact on my life and ultimately showed me how I can live better and everything I could be... I hope maybe this might help or inspire anyone else who also lives in a big city and like me, and perhaps dreams of living in the countryside in peace and quiet. Sometimes due to our jobs or other commitments, a countryside dream might feel far away, however I have found that by noticing and appreciating the nature I already have right here in front of me, I was able to begin life anew and see so much more beauty. My inner child has been dying to play, so thank you for talking about your relationship with your inner child. It's nice to know I'm not alone. I wasn't allowed to go out much as a child, but when I did, I enjoyed simple things, like just walking bare foot on the grass, making chalk drawings on the sidewalk, jumping rope...Anyway, thanks for bringing back my memories. Happy Beltane. And Happy Samhain from Australia as we’re just entering our autumn. The change in nature is making me reflect and want to make changes in my life. One of those is to spend more time connecting with the nature around me (I too live in a city apartment). ❤
