(my previous account with 16,000 + followers was hacked last year…im really sad about this as it was my main account and very important to me, so Ive had to start from scratch but please show some love and follow me for lovely home workouts from a ballerina :)
~ Creating my Home Apothecary & Sharing From My Heart
This week was very exciting for me as I finally got the time to re-organise my collection of herbs, tinctures and all my other creations and built myself a tiny little apothecary! I was looking forward to this for so long, to having the shelving unit delivered, building it and then sharing the process with you :)) it brought me so much joy!
I also wanted to sit down and chat with you all over a cup of tea to update you on how life has been recently, and to say thank you for your love and support. Ive been feeling alot of ups and downs these past few weeks, however I know I am still in the process of healing and so I know it will take some time. I am so grateful to all of you for being here and for sharing the space with me.
I hope you enjoy a little glimpse into my week this week.

Your apothecary shelving unit looks wonderful, I do have a small tip for you something I do to prevent my jar lids from rusting when making an alcoholic tincture, what I do is i use a round piece of parchment or none stick baking paper on the top of my jar before adding the lid it is very affective, it works as a barrier between the lid and the alcohol this way my lids never rust, I do hope you don't mind me giving you a tip, all my love and blessings Natasha 🌹

Your new shelving unit is fantastic and I wish you lots of happiness using all the herbs upon it. I have a special tea cupboard and it always lifts my spirit when I get out some of the herbal teas from it, it is important to make day to day life feel special I think. I agree about exercising the body to help with mental health. My husband and I have joined a gym recently. I'm just starting off slowly, walking the treadmill. But it feels so good. And it has helped me with my moods...
It's so nice to watch as I hope to build my own day. I'm currently living with my parents, which limits my personal space, etc. Thank you!

I had a 2nd foot surgery a week ago and it’s strange how I feel passionate about ballet since I had the 1st one.
Your passion of herbalism inspired me and I used some of your recipes.
Oh how much I miss long walks & exercising I wish I could heal soon to live the life I wanted (been struggling for good 6 years)
I try to read & read and rest. Also watching videos like yours help me heal.

Ohh I do understand for sure, during my career I had a stress fracture and had to wear of of those heavy boots for a while to heal my foot...it wasn't a fun time 🙈 but time heals 🙏 are you a dancer? Or just enjoy ballet? I'm curious ☺️ but anyway, I'm thinking of you and wishing that you feel better soon 🙏 try to rest your foot and then once you feel alot better maybe just starting with slow short walks out in nature will make you feel so much better, I know it did that for me 💛 I wish you all the very best in healing soon. Your new apothecary shelf is great! I too dream of owning a house that has a butler's pantry where I have herbs drying from the ceiling, and jars and tinctures lined up on dark wood shelves...sigh. I also have been thinking of my fitness as I have been neglecting it. I live in cottage country so there are lots of places to walk etc. and my older neighbours put me to shame lol as I always see them out for their daily walks.
You look a million times better. There is no 'should' be a certain way. You get to grieve your way. There's no hurry to move through a painful ending. Go easy on yourself

I am 74. Started making my own bread when i was 7-8 years old. I just can't eat it made from a machine because 1. It doesn't taste the same, 2. The therapeutic making like kneading etc. is good for me.

The shelves look great, do you think it should be fixed to the wall as it’s quite tall and has some heavy jars on? Sometimes those units come with a screw fixing you put on the top to the wall

Can I ask how you dry your herbs? I see hydraters which I don't have space for and wonder about dust if drying in the open.

Thanks for the question, so most of my herbs I do buy dried online, or at least ones I cannot forage for or buy in a supermarket (so more specific ones)..the ones I can purchase in a store like basic sage, Thyme, oregano, basil, mint- these I tend to just hand up in bunches for about 2 weeks or so and they becomes dry and I never actually see any dust on them to be honest, but maybe it depends where you put them...others that I forage for like Yarrow, plantain leaves, wild rose and couple of others, these I again either hang or put on a tray and you can also cover herbs lightly with a cheesecloth or something similar, then the airflow still gets through to dry them but dust won't. I think that works well to be honest but I never had any dust issue as such. Hope that helps a little? 🌻🙏
