I had a 2nd foot surgery a week ago and it’s strange how I feel passionate about ballet since I had the 1st one. Your passion of herbalism inspired me and I used some of your recipes. Oh how much I miss long walks & exercising I wish I could heal soon to live the life I wanted (been struggling for good 6 years) I try to read & read and rest. Also watching videos like yours help me heal.

Thank you for taking us with you on a comforting fall day! I love butternut squash soup too, and serve it up with one of my fall favorites, maple syrup walnuts! Just put two cups of walnut halves in a non-stick frying pan that is hot, add one third cup of maple syrup and stir until the syrup gets very caramel-like. Remove from heat, sprinkle on some salt and turn out onto parchment paper to cool. I store mine in a mason jar with a lid. These are a very healthy on the go or at home snack! I love your watch plaid dress, so gorgeous!

Possibly one day you can teach in Wales and be closer to your family and nature. I moved out of the city 5 years ago now but still go back once a week-ish to see my son and the rest of my family and it's getting harder every time as the city is definitely a visual/auditory overload now that I live in the countryside. I didn't know the UK had Canada Geese! The geese are flying south now and I'm sad to see them leave.

Like you I long to live nearer to nature but for now I make the most of what I have which is a garden. I don’t know if we will be able to move one day, but I am never happier than when I am in a forest or in the countryside away from the noise, hustle and bustle. The border of North Wales is good as I live in the countryside but can easily commute to places like Shrewsbury, Manchester, Chester and Birmingham. The banana bread looks delicious. I enjoy making over ripe bananas into vegan ice cream by blending them with coconut milk and adding flavours (culinary lavender and grated lemon peel is nice).
