    Hi there dear friends,
I hope you are all keeping well, whether you are like me now heading slowly into autumn or if you are stepping into spring on the other side of this beautiful planet...
Anyway, I just wanted to say I posted this video tonight all about making immune boosting herb infused honey - something I adore crafting as autumn begins and its one of my absoulute favourite parts of herbalism :) I hope that you will enjoy this video and that it may help you in some way especially if you are heading into the colder months.
Also, just to say, this past month and a half has been a rather tough one for me as I know Ive stated in the last vlog - style video I had posted. Its taking me a little while to settle back into my rhythms and into my home again after renovations and just sorting out life things here. So I just wanted to say that I hope I will be able to share all of that with you very soon, hopefully in the next week or so if all goes well. There has been so much happening and some of it has been hard to get through and hard to understand how to deal with. It may be something I will share at some point, but for now its been too hard to do that and so I thought it would be better to put out a couple of more simple and useful style videos that may be helpful whilst I work on myself and life here at the moment.
I want to as always thank you all deeply from the bottom of my heart for all your messages and kind words on my videos and IG, its always so wonderful to be able to connect with you and I feel that this is such a warm, kind and welcoming community and Im so grateful for all of you being here.
Hoping to see you all very soon.
    Lika xx

@johndayan7126 thank you John as always for your support and kind words, yes I feel like lately I'm taking one day at a time to keep myself going alongside everything else going on in the world...but I have to say that having this beautiful community here has helped immensely lately and just speaking to people and knowing there's so many wonderful kind and hopeful people here. So thank you, wishing you a lovely day and week ✨️🙏🌻

Hello, Gill here. When i was small in the 1960s my grandmother had 2 widowed retired sisters that bought a bungalow and it was on the outskirts of the town, with surrounding fields which have safly been built on. In their back garden they had an orchard of apples, pears and plums etc. They grew soft fruits, damsons, medlars, rosehips etc, my grandmother made jams from them. I liked the blackcurrant jam the best. In autumn and winter we had a tablespoon in hot water we called blackcurrant tea. My mothers mother also was into picking wild fruits and plants i never knew her as she died before i was born, grew up in Grasmere in the lake district and my mother told me stories of her picking rosehips for rosehip syrup, making seed cake with caraway seeds and other country recipes that not many people make anymore. We used to go picking raspberries and crab apples up there, my mum knew where to find them through her mother telling her where things grew, making dandelion and burdock etc. We 7sed to pick blueberries on the l8cal hills near where i live too in the summer. Not many people use the hedgerows like they used to. I have a blackberry bush in my back garden so at least i have some nature nearby i can use.❤Gill

The infused honeys looked so delicious that today I made my own with elderberries from my garden. Thank you so much for sharing the healthy recipe and I am looking forward to mixing some of the honey into my breakfast porridge. You recipe was made at a good time as some of my elderberries were mushy from the rain and took some time sorting through to pick out the good berries!
