For me happiness is living a minimalist lifestyle. Doing chores with my husband. Working slowly towards our goals. Enjoying every meal that we cook. Talking to my mom. Having easy plans. Being child free. Being able to do nothing at times. Coupled with all of our adventures. We've been living in a new place every month since last 1.5 years and I love every bit of the excitement, the packing and unpacking, the monthly decluttering, the planning everything. For me happiness is also being able to grow and experience life.

Hey Sis! I wanna say that this year I started minimialism just for the sake of getting out of various distractions due to many things, I was preparing for a highly competitive exam, even after the exam is over I just can't leave minimialism behind , it's like a part of me now, I understood that I never needed many things in the forst place and those gaps got filled with actual happiness and a sense of oneness ig? I just wanna thank u for bringing these videos, cuz u may not realise it but u are helping many people like me . Love from India 😁
What an insightful video, thank you for the reminder to be grateful in all circumstances. You are absolutely right, even in the midst of dark times, we can find hope and light.
I'm having some challenges, But I thank GOD every day for his mercy shown towards me when I open my eyes. Great calming video, beautiful scenery. Thank You.
My happy moments is the quiet time I have in the morning and before I go to bed. When I see you on the shore line. It reminds me if days when I used to sit at the beach and collect shells. The little things in life is important.
Happiness to me: just being present and taking a moment to stop and breathe throughout my day. It's a beautiful thing 💗 It's literally a lifestyle to Mindful. Throughout this video I was journaling. Thank you Sis!
The one I most yearn for is connecting with nature, I feel such a strong need for it. Living in a big city in a former communist country means being surrounded by depressing architecture, no nice parks and far away from untouched nature. I would love to, when I’m able, move somewhere where I can be surrounded by nature.
thank you. “the calmness of energy makes the most noise” - “waves to a sanded rock “ riahbook thank you, this is a reminder to me of what beauty is defined in..
As we grow mature, our definition of happiness changes. 😊💕 We become more content with the simple joys and realized what truly matters in our lives. Thank you Sophie for your constant reminder thru your vlogs. I hope I could meet you one day and thank you how you help me changed my perspective in life. 😊💕 God bless you and your family always.
I grew up with a parent who also grow up in a silent island...My inner child didn't need materials, when I was little, moving my body like hands and feet makes me happy, not the money
You're my teacher. I found you by accident. More than anything, I want to speak English. I learn it with you, you are my role model. I fell in love with your thoughts and voice
Your videos are always immensely comforting. It's like a blanket on a very cold winter night. It had been quite some time since I had watched a video of yours. The past few days have been hard and I felt a little lost but suddenly, I felt like coming to this channel to calm myself. And it really did help. Thank you for these videos!
I love your perspective of not ignoring the negative emotions. We experience them as part of our life’s journey so that we can appreciate and be grateful for all the good. Beautiful video Sophie. Thank you for sharing! 🌸
Just when I'm a little disheartened to think I've come to the last of your videos, then another lovely seven to 10 minutes awaits me! Your thoughts and stories are so relatable and thought-provoking, Sophie. Well done.
So many profound truths in this video! My nephew told me he always appreciated how I found the joy in small things. This is something that can completely change our life experience. Being in the moment, appreciating nature and practicing gratitude are wonderful tools whenever life seems overwhelming and the future seems daunting.
😊 your vlogs become my go to morning routine. I love listening to you day by day, while making my bed or when I’m getting ready to start my day. Feels like I’m reading a self-help book through your vlogs 😊. ❤
Being in the state of contentment needs nothing fancy. All we got to do is to be happy with what we have and not the things we don't have. Focusing on the wealth and abundance in life is truly an intangible experience.
Just as I was feeling a deep sense of gratitude I checked RUclips and yes! You had released a new vlog filled with gratitude🙏 in the simple🌈 things life brings. Like the seal on the rock of your video looking up, smiling, closing his eyes again, content with life and the warmth of the sun. Life is rocky and there are struggles. Breathe in relaxation, breathe out to release and move through negative energy to come out the other side. Happiness is always present you just need to seek it in the everyday.
The busy world makes me can not feel happy in the smallest moments but I feel quite relax when I heard your voice. I think that I just happy if I gave freedom to myself
Ever since I`ve found your channel I have really changed my perspective about how to live life and especially living happily. Finding happiness in the little things is truly the key to find the "actual happiness" and through that process I feel like you get to be more thankful and happy overall.. it just feels easier and that makes me feel more whole than I used to be! Keep up your good work with your videos! 😊
Hi. I am a Bangladeshi. A few days earlier I found your channel. Your videos are really resonating with me. I am an Infp boy which is not really commom that much. I was always so self critical, had low self esteem, always felt like I am not good enough and so on....... It’s getting better Alhamdulillah 💖. Thank YOU so much for making these videos. It’s really helping me to accept my whole self and growing continuously. Again Thank YOUUUU✨ I am sending my love all the way from BANGLADESH 🤗💝
09:38 This also happens to me after watching your videos, you moving to new countries, wandering in the woods, walking in sea beach & I'm here living in a small room all alone, going to work I hate everyday, & living a boring life.
The last "Don't compare yourself to others" Yes like right now, I am comparing my life with yours. When I see your video "wow I want that happy and simple life too" but I cannot do it like you, our condition is different. The key is we must accept our life first, and then plan how to balance our life on our own way. Because happiness is acceptance of life
I love listening to your voice, watching your videos and manifesting your mantra. It helps me feel calm daily before I start my busy day. Keep creating videos like these and goodluck with your new journey.
Great video! The visuals are gorgeous and the content so humble and authentic. I can see you didn't just "research popular topics" online and then made a glib summary... like (unfortunately) so many other creators. This is clearly important and meaningful to you! I write a little affirmation on my wrist every day: joy and peace. These are the most important things to keep my mind on as I engage with the day. I have also recently made a list of self-care actions that make me feel good: 5 minute walks, sitting in the sun, eating a salad, listening to music, foot baths and foot care, quick facial, basic stretching, adding certain vitamins and fish to my meals, cuddling with my daughter, stroking the cat, working with plants. Every day I make a quick note on a wall chart if I do one of these. So my list for the day might say: walk, sun, feet, cuddle, salad...
Love it from RUclips to podcasts 🥰 With RUclips I can go sightseeing through your incredibly breathtaking filming, enjoy a slow living style, and every single moment. With podcasts, I often listen to them while doing chores and sleeping 🤓🥰 Thanks for bringing to us many eye-opening lessons and experiences.
I love your videos :) thank you they really helped my recovery from a car accident when I had to slow down and it helped me really enjoy and appreciate my day to day blessings and pleasures.
When i am stressing with my job family and love, i love to watch your videos because its reduce stress and give the meaning of life. I am getting more things in your life. Thank you ❤ love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Such a beautiful video and I really enjoyed it ❤️ Within these two years, I learned to cherish the happiness through serotonin and oxytocin like morning walks with my dog rather than through dopamine like better paychecks and shopping spree and it made the whole difference. It is in fact such simple things that could make you happy 🌸
So truee nowadays we’re all about dopamine because it’s so easy to get, but other happiness hormones are indeed more sustainable and in some way more pure 💛
This is so good, i think these are habits that are helpful for everyone, also the ones who don’t consider/label themselves a minimalist- making one’s life easier is always good🥰 thank you for sharing this💕
I finally bought my first akiya (unoccupied house) in Japan -- a kominka (old Japanese house). I have been teaching here since I arrived, but my desire is to just spend my time at my house, cleaning and renovating, and making films. Moving as if these things are already the reality is important. If we view them as "becoming" or "some day" or "in the future," then we cannot bring to life what we see in our minds.
Thank you so much Sophie for creating this. This reminds me to embrace life as it is and to be kind to my self. I feel loved everytime I watch your video. God bless you, Sophie.
Hi! I’m started to watch your channel. Your gentle voice and style of living is gives me energy and calmness. Yeah happiness is peaceful moments that we feeling .I have been struggling nerve pain for whole year, this makes me understand and value how much important the way just we have; like sitting, eating, sleeping, walking, smiling, thinking without any pain. Living everyday day without any struggle that is the most important one. Then people have to value it.
Thank you so much Sophie, I am going through a very difficult time right now, your messages reminded me of all the things I could be grateful for. I know I will be alright soon.
Hello from France ! For me happiness is in simple things. My family around me and a good meal to share... The people I love the most by me and my animals in my beautiful garden. A magnificent landscape and a good book. That's all I need...
Wisdom from a Mexican fisherman: "Always be mindful of what your end goal is in business and in life!" A boat was docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village. A tourist complimented the local fishermen on the quality of their fish and... asked how long it took to catch them. "Not very long" they answered in unison. "Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families. "But what do you do with the rest of your time?" "We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take siestas with our wives. In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. We have a full life." The tourist interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat." "And after that?" "With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City!!! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise." "How long would that take?" "Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist. "And after that?" "Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!" "Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the fishermen. "After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends." "With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the Mexicans. And the moral of this story is: Know where you're going in life, you may already be there! Many times in life, money is not everything. “Live your life before life becomes lifeless”
In my way 1.I find happiness 😊 from little by little things.. 2. I love to live in my own ideas' own thoughts 💭. 3. To find happiness from outside like walking or visiting anywhere from that I feel cool and calm. 4. I love that phase when I spend some time with me 😘❤️ 5. I embrace contrast of life . Thank you--I needed to hear these habits. Happiness is a slow peacefulness and perhaps a bit of joy that arises within me when I realize that what I have is enough. I do not need lots of material items, just what is necessary.

I couldn't agree more! I'm a big home body myself and people say why don't you go out and hang out with friends and be normal. Well why is normal constantly going out and spending money constantly. I can be happy doing what I wanna do. Alone as well
tbh lately i feel left behind because my fellow batchmate have already graduated from college here I am working instead continuing my studies due to financial reasons , I was only able to finish 1st yr in college and now im working , thanks for reminding me that I have my own timeline and pace and everyone has a story and struggle. now i will stop comparing my self to others hopefully

I've been having one of those bad weeks where u just wanna quit your job but u can't or at least u think u can't... I think Im in a point where I need to rethink my life and your video, like all of them, has been like a deep breath and has helped me calm down; thank u so much for all the wisdom u constantly share with us. This video, Im sure, came at perfect timing for many of us. Also, Sophie, not sure about others but I listen to your videos many times with my eyes closed, they contain so many deep ideas to process, I would respectfully suggest u also make them podcasts, u could have the video version and the podcast version :) your voice, your thoughts... Are really nice to have anywhere u go :)
Thank you so much. So happy you're enjoying the videos. If you want to just listen to the audio, you can find them on Spotify or other podcast platforms :) link in description box
Oh wow this already exists! Thanks so very much for pointing this out! This is amazing :) thank youuuu
Hey Sis!
I wanna say that this year I started minimialism just for the sake of getting out of various distractions due to many things,
I was preparing for a highly competitive exam, even after the exam is over I just can't leave minimialism behind , it's like a part of me now, I understood that I never needed many things in the forst place and those gaps got filled with actual happiness and a sense of oneness ig?
I just wanna thank u for bringing these videos, cuz u may not realise it but u are helping many people like me .
Love from India 😁
What an insightful video, thank you for the reminder to be grateful in all circumstances. You are absolutely right, even in the midst of dark times, we can find hope and light.
💗
I'm having some challenges, But I thank GOD every day for his mercy shown towards me when I open my eyes. Great calming video, beautiful scenery. Thank You.
❤️❤️🥰
My happy moments is the quiet time I have in the morning and before I go to bed. When I see you on the shore line. It reminds me if days when I used to sit at the beach and collect shells. The little things in life is important.
That sounds so lovely 😍
happiness means good relationship, mutual understanding, to be one in any decision, not to find out faults of others
Happiness to me: just being present and taking a moment to stop and breathe throughout my day. It's a beautiful thing 💗 It's literally a lifestyle to Mindful. Throughout this video I was journaling. Thank you Sis!
Love your definition of happiness
The one I most yearn for is connecting with nature, I feel such a strong need for it. Living in a big city in a former communist country means being surrounded by depressing architecture, no nice parks and far away from untouched nature. I would love to, when I’m able, move somewhere where I can be surrounded by nature.
I am sorry to hear this. Can you leave for a few days? Or can you bring some plants and nature inside? I feel like it’s a step forward. Not a fix.
Many paths to happiness. And happiness doesn't need to look happy. It can bruise. It can singe. But it'll always be there waiting on the other side.
❤️🥰
thank you.

thank you, this is a reminder to me of what beauty is defined in..
You're so right! It changes with time :)
I grew up with a parent who also grow up in a silent island...My inner child didn't need materials, when I was little, moving my body like hands and feet makes me happy, not the money
This is so peaceful,I have battling depression 7 years, thank you so much from the Caribbean 🙏🙏🌹🌹
You're my teacher. I found you by accident. More than anything, I want to speak English. I learn it with you, you are my role model. I fell in love with your thoughts and voice
You are a ray of sunshine ☀️ and beautiful for sharing your story and the many ways to make each day better and more productive. Much appreciated!! 🙏🏽
Personally happiness is the way of seeing the beauty in everything around us and appreciating it
😊 your vlogs become my go to morning routine. I love listening to you day by day, while making my bed or when I’m getting ready to start my day. Feels like I’m reading a self-help book through your vlogs 😊.
❤
So happy to hear that ❤️
Being in the state of contentment needs nothing fancy.
Aw thank you ❤️
Ever since I`ve found your channel I have really changed my perspective about how to live life and especially living happily.
Again Thank YOUUUU✨
I am sending my love all the way from BANGLADESH 🤗💝
I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for supporting me ❤️
09:38 This also happens to me after watching your videos, you moving to new countries, wandering in the woods, walking in sea beach & I'm here living in a small room all alone, going to work I hate everyday, & living a boring life.
every time I find myself in a slump your videos come at the perfect timing, thanks for the grounding video Sophie♥
I love your video. Your voice is so relaxing. All the best for you and your family ❤❤❤
So happy to hear that :)
The last "Don't compare yourself to others"
Yes like right now, I am comparing my life with yours.
This was everything. Very Beautiful. Thank you so much, Sophie. 😘
Aw thank you :) that's so sweet of you. I'm glad you're enjoying both
@@MalamaLife Looking forward to the next content while enjoying all of the previous ones. Wish you all the best 🌻🍀🥰
I love your videos :) thank you they really helped my recovery from a car accident when I had to slow down and it helped me really enjoy and appreciate my day to day blessings and pleasures.
Enjoy your videos. I feel like things slow down when I take 10 minutes to watch your surroundings and listen to your calm voice. Thanks

Adoring your videos, watching them gives me so much inner silence 🙏 love and light to you!
Thank you very much for this video! Happiness means to me being able to be creative, to listen to music, to sing and/or to enjoy nature. :)
all of your videos are healing me. thank you so much!
Aw thank you 💕💕
Such a beautiful video and I really enjoyed it ❤️ Within these two years, I learned to cherish the happiness through serotonin and oxytocin like morning walks with my dog rather than through dopamine like better paychecks and shopping spree and it made the whole difference. It is in fact such simple things that could make you happy 🌸
So truee nowadays we’re all about dopamine because it’s so easy to get, but other happiness hormones are indeed more sustainable and in some way more pure 💛
This is so good, i think these are habits that are helpful for everyone, also the ones who don’t consider/label themselves a minimalist- making one’s life easier is always good🥰 thank you for sharing this💕
6:00 grateful for You Sophie 💞
Matthew 5 offers the 5 happinesses
Peaceful and happiness are priceless. Your videos teaching this art of living. Looks like you have done with your inner enggineering. Good luck.
I really like the peaceful nature of your videos as well as your nice, calm voice. Thank you 😊
to me happiness is enjoying the sound of nature, appreciating the fresh air, while wearing a cute outfit and light makeup 😊
Malama, I love your simplicity. Thank you for the encouraging videos of your daily life
Thank you so much Sophie for creating this. This reminds me to embrace life as it is and to be kind to my self. I feel loved everytime I watch your video. God bless you, Sophie.
I am very addicted to your videos. I watch atleast one video before bedtime. It's like a sleep therapy. Thank you Sophie
Another amazing video ✨ I’m getting over a flu so this was a nice way to lift my spirits. I hope you’re enjoying your family time 💙
Great Timing! Today I've been thinking about what to do to feel happier. Thank you
❤️ thanks for watching
Really appreciated this video. On a journey trying to find happiness myself.
Hello from France ! For me happiness is in simple things. My family around me and a good meal to share... The people I love the most by me and my animals in my beautiful garden. A magnificent landscape and a good book. That's all I need...
Wisdom from a Mexican fisherman: "Always be mindful of what your end goal is in business and in life!"
A boat was docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village.
A tourist complimented the local fishermen on the quality of their fish and... asked how long it took to catch them.
"Not very long" they answered in unison.
"Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?"
The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families.
"But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children, and take siestas with our wives. In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs.
We have a full life."
The tourist interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?"
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City!!! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?"
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the fishermen.
"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."
"With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the Mexicans.
And the moral of this story is:
Know where you're going in life, you may already be there! Many times in life, money is not everything.
“Live your life before life becomes lifeless”
Beautiful story! Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you. Happiness time is a walk in the forest with my dogs or when they greet me if I’ve been gone.
Tanks you so much, I love your videos and amazing vibes ! Have an amazing day😊🌸🌷
In my way
1.I find happiness 😊 from little by little things..
2.
I love to live in my own ideas' own thoughts 💭.
3.
To find happiness from outside like walking or visiting anywhere from that I feel cool and calm.
4.
I love that phase when I spend some time with me 😘❤️
5.
I embrace contrast of life .
THANKS FOR GIVING ME POSTIVE VIBE❤️❤️🙏
Thanks Malama for another inspiring video. Sometimes we all need reminders to these basic rules to be happy. We are so lost in daily rut that we forget them. Your videos are such a great reminder and provide great calm and help us get back to our perspectives.
I really appreciate you making such videos on your move too, hope you are enjoying your travel, wish you all the very best!❤️
Watching your videos gives me a nice break of how fast life constantly moves. It truly is a good reminder to live in the present, and make time for the little things in life. Thanks for the video ❤️
I mean, i have watched many minimalism videos but your videos are just something else. so on point and calming and influencing.
I replay your soothing voice when I want to feel relaxed or clean my home , something about your voice it’s so soothing and comforting . Always looking forward to your videos
Thank you--I needed to hear these habits. Happiness is a slow peacefulness and perhaps a bit of joy that arises within me when I realize that what I have is enough. I do not need lots of material items, just what is necessary.
I've been thinking about how much I missing myself the last year that I've been connected my whole time with ur videos. You help me alot through all my depression and your videos really made me feel at peace . Sending love 💗
Thank you for making this video. Reminding me that daily lives have so much enjoyable things around us.
What a beautiful message, thank you, the small daily things in my life bring
Me great happiness 🌹
🥰 thanks Gloria
Positivity is so overrated nowadays but I really loved your viewpoint about toxic positivity and not suppressing the negative emotions.
Your videos are so therapeutic for me. I love your powerful perspective. Thank you so much for the time you take to carefully curate these videos and important messages xo
how i love your videos, thanks for this 10 minute magic
So glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Your videos always ground me. Thank you, Sophie
Thanks for watching Hannah!
