How to FIX the broken microphones on PS5 DualSense controller - Tutorial

- Update: This tutorial applies to the V1 DualSense controller. V2 has some differences.
In this video we replace the microphones on a DualSense controller.

Used your video to fix my controllers mic. Had an already broken PS5 controller and just swapped out both mics. Works like a charm now.

can you do this but remove the built in mic because it causes problem with all plug in mics
im serious even when turning off or mute the built in mic mutes all mics including plug in mic
I have a question, is it necessary to have those control flexes for the control to work? Because I am not interested in the control but one of those flexes broke and now the control flashes yellow 3 times and does not turn on.

Yeahhh sames....Mine ripped but luckily I had a controller that I do not use anymore...I just took mic wire out of that ...30 min fix...Peace
Where can you find the rubber part of the PlayStation microphone?And if you use the playstation microphone without the rubber part is it dangerous
odd question but if i say cut the mic cable will that make me un able to put a headset into the ps5 to use instead? i dont trust it to be muted when it says its muted

i accidentaly ripped the ribbon off for the microphone part is there anway to fix it?
The button to toggle the mic's mute doesn't work, a crappy repair shop broke it, is this something I can fix on my own? Any idea what I should do?
On my controller the mic didnt detect any voice but it still doesnt work after replacing the mic. Could the problem be with the mainboard?

My ps5 controller head phone jack where the jack is it is lose do you know what this is or it it broken?

My speaker blew out on controller & I have it on the regular level it comes set as & it still blew not sure if it has something to do with dropping it but everything else works fine even the mic just no audio & when I switch to my other controller I get sound coming from that so that’s how I figured my speaker must have blown out or messed up
Yeah i did this and i have the same issues with my controller plus another issue where the camera won't turn left. Lets just say i had to resoder the red wires inside because they came out during the chaos of trying to clamp those joystick back together.
Mine is picking up everything in the mic level screen fine.. but when I actually stream.. no sound🤷♂️

Hi guys ,not sure if this was said in the video but if you have a recent controller you may want to search for "v2" replacement cables. From what i read the v2 cables should work with a v1 controller but not the opposite. Hope it helps
No, my issue is my mic doesn't work when it's plugged in I accidentally knocked it out the port and now the plug in wont work, anyone know how to fix that?
Why is there 2 microphones? Is it for stereo?

Hi. I really need ur help. I lost the rubber parts for the microphone. Will it cause any problems if I don’t have them!!!!
Hi, the rubber parts are there to help isolate the sound, without them on, the Dualsense controller may pick up additional sounds, however, the microphones will still work with or without them on. Hope this helps.

@@Bagz1994 I've not been able to find any replacements for these. I would suggest maybe, using a thin strip from a microphone sponge, a form it around the microphone piece and cutting a small hole for the microphone hole. Hope this helps.

Is there any way to return the controller United kingdom my left analog is drifting
To fix the drifting would require the stick to be replaced completely with a new one. I have a video on the channel which covers Stick Drift and how to remove the old one with a new one. While it's about the Wii U controller, the Wii U and PS5 controllers use the same sticks.

U don’t need the rubber it’s just to keep the Metal from scratching the plastic I use a mic with no rubber sounds normal and works
It works on the test but not on mw2

I found myself here because i ripped a cable while taking the battery case off. Part of me wonders if i should just leave if off because the fact my controller makes noise bothers and distracts me XD
Fuck sake. Not sure why, but I threw away the broken ribbon with the rubber part. Now I just have the replacement ribbon and no rubber part! ARRRRRGGGH!
All you do is stick a toothpick in the back and reset the controller

In the back of the controller, there's a tiny black hole that will reset it, use a toothpick to stick it in there and hold it in there for 5 seconds.

I don't know what's wrong with mine...sometimes I'll turn my ps5 off and then back on and it will work but it eventually stops...none of the regular advice has worked
