Dude you really need to give Ethiopian a second chance. You were completely wrong about the dirty seats in your last video. It was from the sterilization chemical. There is a reason why they are one of the biggest airline in Africa and they get decent reviews. You were just bitter about the cancellation debacle. They are bad about that. They wouldn’t change mine despite the shattered kneecaps I experienced a week before my flight.

My wife and my one year old son had to come with Sri Lankan. My wife mentioned that the service was exceptional. They had given meals for the baby and even helped my wife with the baby. They had provided bibs , wipes and towels for the baby. A highly recommended airline.

As a Srilankan I don't like the uniform at fits air.Saree is the most iye caching.
Personally, I would choose Sri Lankan Airlines. The cabin is beautiful and the crew uniform is elegant, iconic. The Ayubowan welcome is one of their signature gestures. I will fly only Sri Lankan airlines when I go to Sri Lanka

The airline is outdated now but a couple of years ago Sri Lankan airlines was very reliable
Sri Lankan Airlines is a personal favorite of mine. Yes, they have older aircrafts which is kind of cool, but their service by FAs is absolutely amazing! Sri Lankan Airlines has by far the BEST and FRIENDLIEST cabin crew ever!
And the Vice President of the airline says..... Josh always pays his fare.... so he follows you. It was an interesting video... as always, your honest reactions.

as a sri lankan i had no idea they started a new airline
Visited Sri Lanka back in 2011. Had a great time with the cultural heritage sites, shopping, and beaches. I hope that you are successful. Flew on Sri Lankan Airlines (BKK-CMB). It seems that countries that encourage competition, Thailand and Turkey for example, seem to have growing tourism and economies. I hope to see them expand East into Bangkok and points East.

Never knew about this airline until I saw this video. I agree with everything you mentioned, maybe it's better that they market themselves as a budget airline alternative to Sri Lankan, simply because they cannot compete as a new player.
I'd definitely fly FitsAir if they offered this same flight at 250 instead of 320.

I have no issues with cabin crew wearing t-shirts. Some airline uniforms are ridiculous and belong to a different era (including hair and make-up rules). Uniforms should be comfortable (especially long haul) and practical for emergency situations.

Thanks for the new video, Josh. Even before the meal, the most underwhelming thing in my opinion was the all-white fuselage of the aircraft. They have even retained IndiGo's seat covers and carpets. So they seem to be keeping thin as far as branding is concerned, which doesn't sound like a good idea. Also the name, FitsAir. Friends in the Sky maybe, but 'fits' is a term that is also used commonly for seizures. Not something you would want associated with an airline! But all said and done, it is good to see new companies opening up in Sri Lanka. Their economy needs this. I wish them well.
Perhaps they just haven't painted the plane yet in the branding? The inside is very colorful. Also IMO comparing the name seizures is really reaching to find anything negative about it. Hopefully this airline can have success.
You are overreacting to the name imo. Fits Air is a good name. It's easy to pronounce and remember.
Seizures or not (it actually reminded me more of "fitness"), "Fits Air" is still WAY better than Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines. Was there no one there who knew what it meant in English??? (Or maybe they did --- Noel Phillips flew twice with them, and judging from his experience, the airline definitely lives up to its name!)

I like the casual look - indicates a sense if fun, but I agree - unless they drop their prices significantly against FlyDubai & Emirates on the same route, they're not going to get the footfall.
But I wish them all the best in achieving their goal of being a major player in the Asian market
Wait till they start their flights into India. Indians are by culture frugal even rich people will happily take a better deal, skipping the bells and whistles. They better play their value card right.

'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. I love that mentality! Sri Lankas become a real country of interest the more I see it in travel documentaries. Good that Sri Lankans.now have more flight options available. Choice of A320 narrowbodies always pleases among first time operators

Great initiative. Good for the Sri Lankan aviation industry. Curious as to why they did not paint the airplane for their inaugural flight? You would think that Branding and visuals would play a major role in creating customer interest. The flight crew uniform looked great.

josh this fits air Airline is originally a Cargo Carrier called Expo avia that was around for about 10 or so years now... they brought this these these A320s for passenger service but the pandemic situation came and they converted thse aircraft to hold cargo for the past few years.... because these aircraft are not configured for passenger service anymore I think it's because of that this cannot serve heated meals.... but hopefully they could come back strong.... of course there will be some competition with Sri Lankan Aviation but as far as I know Sri Lankan Airlines have supported this Airline to grow up to this point.... as far as I can remember in the pandemic lockdown stages Sri Lankan Aviations quota of air Freight to male Maldives was shifted to fits air for a better part of about a year and they transported fresh produce and essential stuff to twice or three times daily back then from katunayaka Sri Lanka.... they have profited a lot from this venture so I think Sri Lankan is supporting them and they have some affiliation with Fits air.... by the way #joshcahill really fantastic job there with the super review again and I'm a really good fan of yours from sometime straight from Sri Lanka!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

As a former flight attendant, I really liked the uniforms. Considering emergencies, it's easy to move around and it's great to have trousers that cover and protect the body against friction injuries while sliding down the slide! 👏👏👏

Hello Josh! My real name is Guerry (My name is not really C-990 Buff - JUST KIDDING!), and I wish to thank-you for providing us with this succinct review of Fits Air. As someone who looks for the good in new in all things, the best aspect of the airline I witnessed was that it did cut the crusts off of your sandwich bread. I cannot conceive how you ever managed to miss that. Actually, with all joking aside, my first reaction to your experience was to remember that I cannot judge something from another culture by western standards. If it was possible, I would have liked to have seen a Sri Lankan’s opinion of the flight included in your video.
Indeed, I think Fits Air has some tweaking to do in order to effectively compete with other carriers. The only advantage I saw for flying Fits Air was a partially filled cabin. Passengers could have at least raised the armrests and stretched out on the empty seats. Nevertheless, I do hope Fits Air is able to modify its amenities in order to make it more competitive.

I hope they make it in the airline industry! They will get there! I remember flying an inaugural flight down to Punta Cana from JFK on Jet Blue. It was a wild party! We had the cake before we boarded, and got on and in our seats, there was cans of coffee, books from Dominican Authors, a CD, Chocolate...Just LOADED with goodies! We took off and of course, we clapped! We played games on the way down. Winners got JB tickets to anywhere they flew round trip. We landed (cheered) and got the canon salute with water. Once we got off there were people dancing, lots of music, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. THAT is an inaugural flight! OH, and while we were flying the folks of the DR sent up a couple of bottles of their rum for us to try! The flight attendant came on and said "If you want rum push your call button"...for 30 minutes all you could hear was the "BING" of all the call buttons going off! It was hysterical!

Great job with the review. I think they will have some growing pains, but ultimately will be successful (if the country stabilizes). Sri Lanka is in a strategic location, and hopefully can be a bigger travel gateway. Cost is the major player, and if they go the low cost route, and lower the prices, pax traffic will be through the roof. Best of luck to Fits Air!

Hi Josh I'm from Australia love your videos. I think the food is a little sad they may not have ovens but they could give you a sandwich or rolls with extra in the box.
The uniforms looked comfy but also looked like they worked in construction as they looked like hi vis shirts but I'm glad they were friendly and didn't hide in the galleys as I hate that other than that looked like a nice airline. 🇦🇺

Hi, srilanka is not that conservative, also as srilankans we always welcome different n new things. Sometimes there maybe few people who doesn’t like change but overall we always try new things. Sirlankan airlines have changed their uniforms 3times, if I’m not mistaken. If we love what we have n if it’s beautiful why we need to change the uniform. Most of us really like it n it’s unique. Just because other countries doesn’t have that much different attire we can’t help it. Most of the crew I’m sure are former Srilankan crew.even the captain 😊the way they keep everything low budget to advertising branding, hopefully the safety is not on budget! Hope this will be a good competition to high prices of ‘Srilankan’!

Thanks Josh for sharing about the airline and also promoting the tourism in Sri Lanka. Government took a wrong decision of terminating Mr. Peter Hill's visa in year 2007 due to political issue. If he could run the Sri Lankan continously the bad wouldnt happen to the Sri Lankan.

All depends on the ones point of view, what u see as comfortable May b not always comfortable. Srilankan airlines uniform is very comfortable Unique n beautiful. No other airline in the world has it. So pls do mind when judging others it doesn’t have to be western attire to be ‘getting with times’😊

Hopefully the presence of the privately owned Fits Air will force Sri Lankan Airlines to step up its game and improve its product and service, similar to how EVA Air lit a fire under China Airlines. Sri Lanka should be able to support 2 small carriers: one government owned and one private.
