    Good to see the club test out on the course to show what they are really like to game.

    Good review. Peak height and descent angle are just as important as distance which most fittings seem to focus on.

    I really enjoy your course vlogs with the boys but have found your club reviews and your club comparisons with Lee very informative. I play the Ping G425 driver and as Lee said, like the sound off the face.

    Great points on the importance of trying clubs from varied lies and trajectories. Try the shots you play, not just full shots. Ideal if you find a pro who will let you clubs to do that before buying…

    Great on course review. I quite like the Ping irons. They don't look as chunky as Ping of the past although that could be my eyes via the camera. No doubt they perform great just like all the other Ping irons have over the years.

    It will definitely be harder to shape that draw with those clubs and also hit those low windows. Those GI irons are designed for low spin and high launch. Great for people just trying to hit it straight and forgiving but players trying to shape shots and hit low windows they’ll work against you

    Is it just me, or do they sound pretty good for a Ping G series?

  • @billh4894
    @billh4894 Год назад +2

    Not understanding why all the fuss about gaping and wedges. Yes the pw is strong, so are the rest of of the clubs. The 5 irons becomes your 4, 6 your 5 etc right down the line… so you get the 45 wedge and there is the gaping just like any set.

    • @zazhou
      @zazhou Год назад +1

      Agree, too many golfers are influenced by the number showing on the bottom of the club.

  • @brodygoalie
    @brodygoalie Год назад

    So how about roll out when hitting the green? Of course very important. Want the ball to hit and stop. Correct?

  • @michaelfox1873
    @michaelfox1873 Год назад +1

    Not sure these irons were made to shape shots vertically or horizontally. If you wanted that you’d pick another model. The benefit of these clubs comes from trying to hit the ball high and straight. Once you can do that, you move to a model that allows you to shape the ball, if that is what floats your boat.

    • @DanHendriksenGolf
      @DanHendriksenGolf  Год назад +2

      How would these clubs stop me shaping the ball? Surely face to path and spin axis are the key ingredient for shot shaping with irons?

    • @michaelfox1873
      @michaelfox1873 Год назад

      Never said they would. I suggested it was not the point of these irons. Design changes in models of clubs makes desired aspects easier to achieve than others, otherwise each manufacturer would only make one club.

    Hi Dan! More a Ping question than the g430. Too much offset on these for me. Do you think the i525 and i230 are close in their level of forgiveness for an average ball striker to do a combo set with them or stay more with i525? Second question. Do you think the Mizuno Pro 225 is more forgiving than both of them? Thanks, Joe

    • @DanHendriksenGolf
