In this video we show to you how to set up an Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation. The Echo Dot 5th Generation is a smart voice assistant that can respond to voice commands. Whats unique about the Echo Dot 5th Gen is that it has a build in LED Display that shows the time and can display other messages. It also can be used as a wifi range extender with Eero wifi systems.

How To Set Up Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation:
1. Download and install the Amazon Alexa App. Set up a username and password and login.
2. Open up the Alexa App.
3. With the Alexa App open plug in your Amazon Echo Dot to the provided power cord.
4. It will take about a minute for the Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation to power up.
5. Once the Echo Dot 5th Generation is powered up if you have the Amazon Alexa App open it should show up on the Amazon Alexa App and you can click continue to set up the device.
6. Follow instructions on the Amazon App to finish setting up the Amazon Echo Dot 5th Gen.

Hi friend. Mine gets stuck at the "searching for wifi" phase. Then alexa just tells me "wifi isn't set up"

Hey I'm a question I got a the 5 generation but it's going through the start up phase, but it not connecting to my tablet ( it a Samsung ) and yes I have it connected through the Bluetooth but it's not syncing up to the app ( Amazon Alexa ) but I have to have to download a another app to get it to work?
Hey, Samsung Galaxy 21 here. Mine won't connect for me either. Me and my wife tried for an hour. She tried with her iphone and it still wouldn't connect. We are giving it away now lol
@@RacesForTheChannel I got a new Alexa dot and try to connected that one on the android tablet and it was the same thing but I decided that I would try out on a iPhone and it's totally connected with no problem ( I'm not saying that you have to buy a iPhone ) but I think that android tablets r not up to the task to handing set up of Alexa dot but that my opinion on the subject.

You actually can just say. Turn off display. You could search it up

I dont have access to a smart phone, im trying to use the alexa app on my pc instead. the problem is the alexa app on pc doesnt have anyway that i can see to connect the Echo dot to the wifi. Strange, i dont have any pop up asking me to connect the device when i go through your method.
I got one of these for my teenage daughter. How does she add the app on her phone and add her profile so that she doesn't use mine. She clicked on her name and it said you can't choose a child's profile

I think that these gadgets are made in different places some with clock others no. I think the missing jack plug wasnt a good option either

It’s ok until it goes to searching for wifi . It just keeps looking for hours and doesn’t go anywhere. I know I not my wifi since I’m setting up another echo 2nd gen and it connects right away .
