How To Reset Echo Dot 5th Generation.
1. Hold down the "Action Button" for 15 seconds until the device says it's reseting. Don't let go until the device says that it's going to reset. After a few seconds the device is going into set up mode but you need to keep holding until it says the device is resetting. Don't let up on the button until you hear it speak saying that it is reseting.
2. Wait 1 minute for the device to reset. It will then change the color of lights at the base and tell you that it is ready for set up by speaking to you in 3 different languages.

Constantly have to reset mine. Worked well for a few months but now I'm lucky if it goes for more than a day before becoming unresponsive and needing to be reset again.
Probably needs resetting a different way

My Echo Dot doesn't go into the setup mode even after holding the Action Button for 20 sec. Just got the thing and I am very confused how I can set it up.

Hi, mine does not have the led display in the front ? Just received it today and it is a 5th generation. Well says it is on the box

Mine still won't work after factory reset weird tried unplugging my wifi too n all that oh well

I just take mine out the box brand new and now I have to reset it cause that thing didn't pop up
MY PROBLEM WITH ALEXA ECHO DOT SPEAKERS IS THAT IT WILL NOT SEND MY CORRECT "CALLER ID" INFORMATION, BUT RATHER, MY ALEXA ECHO DOT SENDS SOME STRANGE NUMBER FROM ANOTHER STATE THAT THE PERSON I'M CALLING DOES NOT RECOGNIZE; THEREFORE, THE PERSON I'M CALLING DENIES THE CALL & WILL NOT ANSWER!
