I wouldn't feel bad about the last videos not ending on a happy note. I can't speak for others but I watch you for your experience and being invited along with your beautiful family and friends.
It's the hiccups that make for the memories!
Thank you so much for this comment! It really helps us to keep going knowing we can bring you along on our journey. No matter how good or bad it goes. 🙏🏻
Thank you for keeping it real. Look forward to your next adventure.
Hopefully soon!
My son and I went and ran that trail yesterday. I can tell you the videos do NOT do it justice at all. I thought I studied yours and another carefully before we went. What you encounter and the size of the rocks is like nothing i had ever seen. ROCK garden they say, the whole thing is a rock garden. The HARD left hmmm yea to say the least.😅 Thanks for sharing! Liked and shared for sure!
Thanks so much for watching!
I personally really enjoyed this video. It was “real” versus so many of today’s “influencers” with their thousands and thousands of dollars of top of the line equipment editing their videos making it appear all went perfectly smooth. Great vid, family and friends.
Thanks so much! We do our best to try and make it feel like youre not only watching, but actually riding along for the adventure. 😀 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I agree with you 100%. I as I commented below used his well presented video as a guide. Still you have to see it to believe it!
Nice Jeepin!! Your personalized plates should now say, NO-BYPAS. 😂
Oh man that would he awesome! Im gonna try and submit it with the DMV this week! 😀
@@barelymadeit 😂
That was one heck of an amazing spot! It's a shame it had to storm.
It really was! Im so sad i wasnt able to see the sunrise from there. 😞 but next time.
Great video . Not so great tent . And the views were spectacular. Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏾
Yea we agree! Haha. But we are working on the new video now and I think we have it figured out! Thanks so much for joining us! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@barelymadeit 🤙🏾
We live in such an awesome State for adventure!
We absolutely do! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
New subscriber here! Love the content! Im from FL so I love seeing this type stuff. Keep up the good work yall!
Thanks so much!! We really appreciate it! I lived in Orlando for 20 years! There is def some good adventures to be had down south! 😀
@@barelymadeit I’m in Ocala!
@@4wdAdventurz very nice! We used to go out there in my buddies old ford explorer camp and roast binnie wennies in the can on the fire. 😅
Loved the rawness of the video. Sucky situation but your family stayed pretty positive throughout it seemed. If you are ever in Oregon let me know! It’d be fun to link up with channels and creators that are just starting out 🙌🏽
Thanks so much! 😀 yea it was pretty tense but we typically all focus on making the situation better when we can vs killing eachother. Then we kill eachother after its over. 😅 i would love to come visit Oregon! Maybe sometime soon!
We had a tent that was supposedly rain rated we bought new and it ruined our anniversary but we got wet immediately so we were lucky for the wet part but still had to leave. The view after the rain was incredibly beautiful.
I've been stuck in that tree at the waterfall they call it, air down , lock up, I did that trail with 5" lift in a xj open diff it's all about momentum and tire psi good job on inspection of obstacle , patient is virtue
I agree momentum is key! Which feels weird when youre trying to just crawl it. 😅
Love stormy weather
Good to see the Cookie Monster in action.
The cookie monster? 😅
Wholly smokes what a climb great video
Im telling you. That obsticle is crazy. 😅 thanks so much for joining us!
Looks like a great family tent.
Did you have a good tarp under it and tucked under so water won't run under it ? Maybe it needs it's seams sealed with something like seamgrip. It put it up in the driveway and close everything up storm ready and spray water on it and see where the water comes in. I camp in that area alot on a trail near by and I'll tell ya it rains almost every day. Sometimes alittle and sometimes alot. That looked pretty gnarly tho and way up I know the spot. This channel is gonna blow up what a great Video !!
The tent actually comes with a tarp that attaches around the bottom so idk what happened. Maybe i didnt attach it right. I also used 2 cans of skotch guard on the entire tent. 😞 thankfully though we just picked up and installed our RTT so this next one should go much smoother. At least the sleeping part. 🤦🏼♂️ thanks so much for joining us and we really appreciate your comment.
Happy 4th and greetings from Loveland! Awesome video guys! We did Moab, Pickle Gulch after watching your videos. Just camped out above Nederland and did Middle St Vrain trail. You guys should check it out sometime.
Happy 4th to you as well! Thats so great that yall were able to get out and do those trails! Pickle was so much fun! I wish we could get back to moab but we decided were not gonna go until the fall. Too hot. 😅
Impressive
Thanks so much for joining us! 🙏🏻 i was pretty shocked we made it.
15 min in, is called the rock garden to the locals
Those are some fuuun trails.
Man they are awesome!
You'll get the camping dialed in. At least you have been able to get out and back home.
I sure hope so man. Haha that really sucked. 😞 luckily like 5 things all lined up today and we got our RTT so hopefully 🤞🏻that will be a game changer.
From my understanding the RSI load bars should be becoming available this month. But another great option are the ones made by front runner that fit the RSI cap. I’ve had trouble finding an extra set for extra support on my smart cap. The front runner ones are just a little taller.
Man i dont know how but the local Line-X in the springs had a set of RSI bars for the gladiator in stock. We just went and got them today and got our RTT installed. And they were cheaper than thule and yakima really nice quality too.
@@barelymadeit yes they are, I love mine. I’d just to have an extra set for better load support as my bigger RTT weighs in at almost 200 pounds. So that’s good news for me to hear they’re coming available again 👍👍. We are heading for Colorado next week !
@@barelymadeit Now for the fun part...trying to figure out what tent to get. So many options. Overland expo in Loveland is next month...some good deals to be had! Hope to see you there! FYI, I have a Roofnest. Pros and cons for sure.
@@o2bnlowfilms oh that would be fun! Hopefully we can make it! Checkout the new tent @gofsr has. They look really nice!
Enjoying the videos. We might pass each other on the road or trails. I’ve got a similarly built white Gladiator with RTT. But, I pull a small overland trailer with RTT. 😁
Oh thats awesome! Hopefully we see you on the trail! Thanks so much for joining us! 🙏🏻
the coolant smell is probably one of those junky plastic fittings on the heater return line. its on driver side of motor on top.
Oh thats interesting. Ill have to tell mike to check it out.
@@barelymadeit yeah i had same issue kept smelling it for a few months, but not leaking enough to see anything, until the plastic hose connection finally did fail and started leaking coolant. and you got to buy the entire hose , don't sale just the connection. i took it off the new hose and replaced the one leaking.
Ya, I had my doubts with no rain fly when you did the video for that tent, would a big tarp work? I have the frontrunner roof rack on my Smartcap its bit heavier than the smartcap roof rack but i got a black Friday deal on it and Frontrunner has a lot of accessories for it. We also have two kids and two dogs and been struggling with the sleeping situation, probably going to get a rooftop tent but for now we've been using a plane ol popup tent.
I think it was an issue with the amount of rain and the design. Probably more so on the tent. We just decided to try an RTT and let the kids sleep in the bed of the jeep. Hopefully this will work. Fingers crossed or im gonna just run into the woods screaming. 🤞🏻😅
That trail looks crazy!
My wife and I are in CO and we would love to go wheeling with you guys! If you allow some new friends to join you guys. We are a family 4 as well with young kiddos!
How could we connect if we could get together?
I have a Jeep Gladiator and she had a Ford Bronco!
Keep making great videos!!
Thanks so much for joining us! Wed love to hang with yall on the trail! We are heading to breckenridge this weekend! Are you in town now?
@@barelymadeit We live here in Brighton! So we can definitely meetup not sure what we have going on this weekend. I get off of shift Saturday morning. I’m a local firefighter!
@@mustangfan33 no way! Thats great! Seth the guy who won the fridge is a local firefighter also! If you email me ill send you my cell and we can stay in touch! Barelymadeitoffroad@gmail.com
Why was the tent so wet inside? Is it not rated for rain?
I guess not, or at least not CO crazy rain storms. 😅
You missed a great opportunity at 14:00… “If you are enjoying the video, lichen subscribe!”
Aww man youre right! Im so bad about that. I need to be better.
Air down your tires with 37-38" feel the difference, there's a gas station in town to air up it in board air and it's Bolt on ready ,and remember tree kisses are battle scars after safety of Mom and kiddos obviously good job overall guys
We both have air, and Mike was at 8psi and i was at 14psi. (No bead locks). I think Mikes tires are D rated because they still looked super aired up. Thanks so much for joining us! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
How hard can it be?! I mean, those power lines made it up there and they don't even have 4wd or lockers.... pppft ;-)
On a more serious note, I'm so happy for you that you have found a fantastic friend to drive these trails with. I'm still looking for a good and consistent group to adventure with. If you ever need someone to join ya on short notice, shoot me a message!
Haha well those power lines have really long legs. 😅
Ya'll on stock or built aftermarket axles?
We are both on D44s. But we both have full truss gusset, shafts gears, balljoints. Basically fully built d44s. But mike does have PSC which i dont have yet.
How does this trail compare to wheeler lake
Thats a great question. So wheeler has more obsticles that are generally on the difficult side. Spring creek only really has the one obsticle but its crazy hard if you dont get the line right. And technically there is no bypass. Or so ive been told. That bypass is illegal.
@barelymadeit the bypass is not illegal. Most people take it not even knowing.
The slab is the first obstacle the rest is a dirt road.
Hey Tom, yea its a great trail!
Well I wouldn't by the bio dome tent after this video
Yes please dont! 😅
Test your tent first
Camping is not ever so relaxing. It’s always lots of work lots of stuff lots of taking things out and putting things back in. In no way is it relaxing. The ten minutes you get to sit or stop at a cool location is the only relaxing time reason. I love camping but now I never go with it as it will be relaxing. It’s always a lot of work. Fun work mostly albeit. But and something always makes it a challenge. Maybe that’s why we do it. Stay dynamic and just have fun and be thankful can camp and have a rig like that.
I couldnt agree more. I think the trick is to try and make it as little work as possible. Haha thanks so much for joining us! 😅
