    Another Gem! Love this style of video, your videos are really convincing me of going to 37s for my Mojave. Even the "easy" trails in Colorado have obstacles where having larger wheels would have its advantages, if nothing to reduce the belly scraping and banging of the rear control arms.

    • @barelymadeit
      @barelymadeit  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks so much for joining us! There are a few things to keep in mind when going 37s like a truss and gears but for the most part 37s are fine stock. I ran 37 ko2s on 4:10s and without a truss for almost a year with no problems but the front axle can break if something really rough happens. But yea, the gladi is so long it loves to drag its belly. Even on 37s 😅

    Nice wheeling guys! @Greg - on those rock sections, better to be in e-save, 4lo and off-road+, and use M1 or 2 to deaden the throttle down to min... otherwise the 4xe just wants to launch itself and run away with all that instant torque

    Looks like tons of fun. Jeep looking awesome. After I get my JLU paid off I'm hoping in a couple years I can pick up a Gladiator. I know everyone fawns over Rubicons but I got my eye on a Sport S with the Max tow. Level it, throw a cap on the back, steel bumper on the front with a winch, some new wheels with a more negative offset (or just wheel spacers if youre cheap) and throw on some 35s and you have a nice overland setup for way cheaper than a Rubicon. Sure, it can't do all the same obstacles, but they're more capable than people give them credit for.

    • @barelymadeit
      @barelymadeit  8 месяцев назад +1

      Youre totally right! If youre planning on building it up a little a sport s is the way to go! I think i only used the lockers once on chinaman, so its really not a deal breaker. And ARB air lockers arent bad if you decide you really want a locker. Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate you joining us on our adventure’

    The Grey JL picks some not so ideal lines on all of the hard sections. Keep your tires on the highest points in the trail and you will not get hung up so much. You really need to be looking far ahead and picking your lines, what are you guys aired down to?

    • @barelymadeit
      @barelymadeit  7 месяцев назад

      Haha yea greg likes to pick the weird lines, i think he finds it fun to see what it takes to do them. I was aired down to 13psi. I think greg was at like 18 and the bronco was at street pressures. 😬
