Same here. In the commercial the first line "so walk away with me" sounds like it could be Bonnie Raitt. But when she hits the word "anything" in the line "I would do anything" she stops sounding like Bonnie Raitt. So I had to investigate. I'm relieved it's not Bonnie Raitt. Thank you Chevrolet for introducing me to this wonderful song! I have heard Susan as a solo act, and I have seen Derek with the Allman Bros., but never heard their band together. I will certainly give them a listen!
I can't help but think of Bonnie Raitt when I hear her. She's obviously a great vocalist on her own, and I mean the comparison as the highest compliment.
This is so, so good. I could listen to these guys all day. There is so much soul and talent in this outfit that I can barely stand it. What a great pair Derek and Susan make.
In a world where we seem to be stepping away from music with any meaning, or emotion, thank goodness for this band. They exude talent, with strong vocals and great guitar riffs, but what really stood out on this track was the Chicago-esque horns. There I was back in my teens for a few minutes, and that is the power of good music - it transports you...
Wow! A band with real instruments and talented musicians that actually know how to play! Amazing!! And they all got together in the same studio and played together?! What a concept. The synergy that can create something fantastic is, for the most part, missing in today's music. Keep up the great work guys!
Just what I was thinking. So rare to have all the musicians together at once. Probably set it up for publicity, but it's still wonderful too see and hear..
I saw TTB 3 years ago, awesome show. When Derek finished the slide solo for "Midnight in Harlem" a growing roar of applause took over the room. Sounded like a freight train coming through. These Guy's and Gal's are the real deal. I was standing 15 feet away front row. I recorded the show song by song. Check it out...No, I'm not looking for subscribers, just a great show to share.
the truck commercial brought me here, i actually love the sound of this song and her voice everytime i see the commercial😅 now this ison my playlist gives me a 90s vibe❤❤❤
I agree Elizabeth! I really didn't know anything about this band, other than Derek Trucks. I stumbled on to this song by accident, and I'm VERY glad I did!! Excellent song!! Excellent musicians! I'm going to buy this album!
She sounds like that singer "Lets Give Them Something to Talk About". I think her name is Bonnie Raitt. Not quite as good though. Why is she just holding that bass guitar?
Kevin Wilson, First of all, its NOT a BASE guitar. You OBVIOUSLY have NO taste and dont know what you're talking about. Look at her rip on that guitar when she had her own band b/4 TTB Second, if you don't have something nice to say then don't say it. There are plenty of ppl on here that are totally into this very talented band to live thru your criticism. Bonnie Raitt is in her 70's now, kinda gettin up there, and she doesn't have a band with this much talent to back her up. Shes on her way out, and these guys are here to take over! And I say Please do! Why do you have the need to compare Susan to anybody? Yes, in some songs she sounds a little like her, but not really. IMHO I think Susan has a fabulous teacher/partner / husband and both of their bands merged together is absolutely dripping with talent. There is nothing like them live, NO COMPARISON out there to this much skill, precision, knowledge, comradery, and TALENT! THey are a team and show allot of respect for one another, which is kinda rare these days, and a great pleasure to watch, I didn't want it to end. These guys are headed to the TOP! (Already got a Kennedy Award at the White House) IDK if Bonnie has one of those
This is music good for the soul. Has been on repeat daily since I found it a couple days ago. Obsessed! I am a musician and vocalist and I only wish I could sound like her. My brother in law is a blues guitarist and does their music in his band.
Saw them play this in Ft Myers earlier this month. This entire band is Amazing! Running from a bitter taste Took a rest from all the chase Feeling something anchored on my soul Played the game by all the rules Learning lessons no one gets to choose Everywhere I turn, here I am So walk away with me I'll show you that [Chorus:] I would go anywhere, anytime I would do anything, anyway Anyhow Woke up feeling all adrift Pieced together what I missed Realized that you pushed me out to sea Followed from a lost place Dealing with the wreckage in my soul Everywhere I turn, there you are So walk away with me I'll show you that [Chorus:] I would go anywhere, anytime I would do anything, anyway Anyhow No one cares to loan a dime Sorry if it cost you time What'd you expect a desperate man to do? Cain and Abel lit the flame We can never go that way again Everywhere I turn, here we are So walk away with me I'll show you that [Chorus:] I would go anywhere, anytime I would do anything, anyway Anyhow
I love how Susan looks over at Derek at the end of the song and I love the look on Derek's face; sorta like; 'Yeah, that one sounded pretty good, I think'.
It was if Derek was sort of saying....."well that ain't that bad.... whada ya think....??? and Susan was like..... yeah... sorted.... I imagine someone shouted..... NEXT.....
Gonna see them with my little brother in a couple weeks in Dayton. This will be my first concert in a long, long time. Really looking forward to it. Allman is talking about putting a solo band together complete with a brass section. Wondering if hearing these guys got him thinking in that direction.
I saw these guys live last spring, I gotta tell you they are even better live. Real Magic! I too am a child of the sixties but good music is timeless and spans generations. You are right buckfan1969, Bands like this do not come around very often.
Saw them about 3 weeks ago in Dayton with my little brother. They were terrific. Had Los Lobos with them, and they're always great. My first concert in probably 40 years except for a small one to see Leon Russell a couple years ago in Chicago. Well worth it!

WTFU
agree!! best band
@@scottmosley651 wtfme lol
I can't help but think of Bonnie Raitt when I hear her. She's obviously a great vocalist on her own, and I mean the comparison as the highest compliment.
@@jameshayes1840 yes, when Bonnie was younger
This song has haunted me for months! I only hear a snippet from the Chevy Commercial...
I love it!
Chevy commercial brought me here. Her voice is raw & real. Had to find it.
Chevy commercial brought me here! Love the music, her voice, everything. So talented! You got me now.
This is so, so good. I could listen to these guys all day. There is so much soul and talent in this outfit that I can barely stand it. What a great pair Derek and Susan make.
adam872
Me too
A match made in heaven!
Adam, I do listen to them maybe not all day but a lot. TTB music say me through some rough times. Right now, this the best music I listen to.
Luv how Susan smiles at the end and looks at JamMaster Derek! Yeah, that was damb good!!!😍❤👍👏
Last night a TV commercial made my ears pick up, this song and sure sounded like you Susan !
I have been with a follower twenty plus years and have aged in true maturity with the Tedeschi Family. Much Love...
Try to catch them LIVE... the power on the stage translates well to what you're going to hear. They're a joyful music experience.
agree!!!
YESSS!!!
how is this song not like everywhere? great stuff! great groove!
LOVE this jam!!!
My thought exactly. Wish Jerry D. could have been part of it!
The best band touring in the US right now
Bob
I saw TTB 3 years ago, awesome show. When Derek finished the slide solo for "Midnight in Harlem" a growing roar of applause took over the room. Sounded like a freight train coming through. These Guy's and Gal's are the real deal. I was standing 15 feet away front row. I recorded the show song by song. Check it out...No, I'm not looking for subscribers, just a great show to share.
Susan’s smile at the end says it all:
“We just nailed it, folks!”
Well done.
And catch Derek's almost surprised look.
You need to hear her sing midnight in Montgomery. Best ever
@@fishinghippi Randy, I assume you mean both Midnight in Harlem AND Angel from Montgomery. She sings both, and they are the best ever!
I'm a professional drummer, this song left me in tears. It's what we call, "a perfect take."
Susan's smile as the last chord is decaying says it all.
The way Derek nod's like "normal day in the office" at the end, madness.
This is everything good about music.
These two people make life better for the rest of us.
So true
Especially these days!!! Susan’s song “People” is pretty relevant at the moment too...I suggest having a listen ;)
🙏amazing band!!!!💙
They are beautiful ♥️♥️
I fell in awe.. of this song just listening to the Chevy commercial.. and now its apart of my music library 🌹
the truck commercial brought me here, i actually love the sound of this song and her voice everytime i see the commercial😅 now this ison my playlist gives me a 90s vibe❤❤❤
this is how music used to be made, and should be made. I'm nuts for this band-and their energy playing live is contagious!
I agree Elizabeth! I really didn't know anything about this band, other than Derek Trucks. I stumbled on to this song by accident, and I'm VERY glad I did!! Excellent song!! Excellent musicians! I'm going to buy this album!

THE MORE I LISTEN TO THIS LADY, THE MORE I LOVE HER! RR
She sounds alot like Bonnie Raitt!!!!!
STOP SAYING SHE SOUND LIKE BONNIE RAITT! SHE DOES NOT! She sounds like SUSAN! NOT BONNIE GET IT RIGHT
She sounds like that singer "Lets Give Them Something to Talk About". I think her name is Bonnie Raitt. Not quite as good though. Why is she just holding that bass guitar?
she plays a mean guitar ..
(Already got a Kennedy Award at the White House) IDK if Bonnie has one of those
Beautiful voice, great musicians and technicians, and a really good song 🎵 👍
This is music good for the soul. Has been on repeat daily since I found it a couple days ago. Obsessed! I am a musician and vocalist and I only wish I could sound like her. My brother in law is a blues guitarist and does their music in his band.
Chevy made me a fan. Beautiful voice!!!😊
Thanks Chevy Trucks for using this song in your commercial. My first time hearing this band and they are now one of my favorites.
Best god damn band BY A MILE!!!!
Saw them play this in Ft Myers earlier this month. This entire band is Amazing!
Running from a bitter taste
Took a rest from all the chase
Feeling something anchored on my soul
Played the game by all the rules
Learning lessons no one gets to choose
Everywhere I turn, here I am
So walk away with me
I'll show you that
[Chorus:]
I would go anywhere, anytime
I would do anything, anyway
Anyhow
Woke up feeling all adrift
Pieced together what I missed
Realized that you pushed me out to sea
Followed from a lost place
Dealing with the wreckage in my soul
Everywhere I turn, there you are
So walk away with me
I'll show you that
[Chorus:]
I would go anywhere, anytime
I would do anything, anyway
Anyhow
No one cares to loan a dime
Sorry if it cost you time
What'd you expect a desperate man to do?
Cain and Abel lit the flame
We can never go that way again
Everywhere I turn, here we are
So walk away with me
I'll show you that
[Chorus:]
I would go anywhere, anytime
I would do anything, anyway
Anyhow
Lucky you! I'm jealous! 🍻....and THANKS for the lyrics, O'day 35! ⛵️😉👍
I love how Susan looks over at Derek at the end of the song and I love the look on Derek's face; sorta like; 'Yeah, that one sounded pretty good, I think'.
Nailed it!
Yup saw this too ! Super Cool !
It was if Derek was sort of saying....."well that ain't that bad.... whada ya think....??? and Susan was like..... yeah... sorted.... I imagine someone shouted..... NEXT.....
Perfectly fabulous!
When this is the song stuck in your head all day...it's a good day.
Rock on soul brother, and all ya'll (I live in South Florida) need to learn how to pronounce her name: ta-desk-kee!
No Defly, Mo Defly . ! . They're having no fun at all . . . Great schhtuufff ! ! !
I freaking love this song… it just makes me happy
Im addicted to this song. I’m a fan now. What aa voice!❤❤
This is the band I've been waiting to come along for 40 years or so. 'nuff said...
I know what you're feeling. As a child of the 60's, this stuff is right in my wheelhouse.
I totally agree with you buckfan and hawkman
Recorded LIVE!!!
As songs SHOULD be recorded!
Organic, room to breathe…
The POLAR OPPOSITE of the new sterile digital push button perfection!!
This, is a BEAUTIFUL THING…
This is ART…❤️👊
I've been looking for this song since hearing it on the Chevy commercials ❤️
I’m here because TTB are fantastic both in concert and in the studio!
