The first 3 days was hardest. The migraines were horrific. Moving on to the second week fatigue. Third week sudden, I became less stressful, calmer, and a feeling of purpose. Fourth week gave up sugar, which I used add to coffee heavily and switched to just water or green tea. Week five started to feel more alert and sleeping better. My sense of time became clear, naturally started to wake up at 6am. Switched from hot showers to cold showers, wow that was awesome, felt so alive. Now I feel a sense of happiness. I binge watch videos like this to motivate me to quit coffee. I am only 22 and have been drinking it since I am 14. 2019 will be coffee free! Pray for me 😭
I love coffe💕💕 I have drank it since my teens. I stopped drinking it for 3-4 months a few years back. It was hard at first. It showed me that I did not need coffee but wanted to drink it. I have been able to go down to drinking coffee once a day instead of 3x a day which was a plus.
I gave up coffee for Lent (6 weeks). My experience was basically identical. I live in Spain, so the coffee is pretty strong, and before I quit drinking I consumed about three espressos daily. Like the narrator, I now drink a few coffees a week but no later than early afternoon. I had annoying “withdrawal” symptoms for about two days (headache, moody....). I sleep much better in general.
She mentioned in the video that she becomes calmer (4:20). The more coffee you drink the more you feel sleepy, that's why you want more coffee. Not drinking coffee makes you sleepy is not true. I don't drink coffee everyday, i don't get tired throughout the day, and i sleep better at night.
Before trying coffee and knowing it’s effect, I felt sleepy, weak and exhausted for a few years without knowing the reason of it or any possible solution. The joy in my life and the things I discovered were not even close to they are now. Coffee changed my life. It taught me how important strength is and why humans use tools (they are helpful). It might not be wise to drink coffee without controlling the amount of it, but it is certainly not that much negative. I do not recommend people avoiding it and denying it as an addiction.
I allow myself to drink as much coffee as I want for the first 3 hours of my day. After that it’s off limits. I sleep 8 hours exactly every night . I usually have 3-6 cups of coffee in the mornings
I used to be a big coffee drinker. Hot coffee in the morning and cold in the afternoon. I drank it because I had difficulty sleeping at night and was exhausted throughout the day; now a few months later I am energized all the time and haven’t had any coffee or difficulty sleeping
I was addicted to coffee for decades. I remember drinking latte when I was 6 years old. I quit for 3 years and started again last year. I have again quit and discovered match tea latte, healthy with heart-protecting soy milk and date syrup - the only healthy sweetener. The caffeine in matcha is easy on the brain and my sleep is now restored to normal. Coffee has a lot of cholesterol too.
14 weeks without coffee, I'm thinking to have 4 cups a year or 1 year. I sleep like a baby, I am more energetic, more focus, less stress, more aware. As soon I wake up I am ready to go 100% I don't say anymore "I need a coffee" because I am ready to go, in a better mode 🙏, best decision ever. I feel over all more sharp all natural.
This is timed quite well, as I'm almost 3 weeks into my no coffee life. I've been a full time barista for the past 4 1/2 years and it has been SO hard to serve people coffee all day while not being able to drink it myself. I will say though, it definitely is much easier to get up in the morning and my energy levels are very stable throughout the day. After my month is up, I will absolutely be limiting my coffee intake. It is such an addiction!
Coffee is my addiction too, but i recently quit for about 3weeks cause of my anxiety. And for some reason this video push me to drink coffee again. Hahaha.
I quit 3 months ago because it caused me anxiety. After 3 months coffee free I have more energy without the need of coffee and have developed healthier life choices.
I quit drinking coffee cause my doctor said to for 7 years I never felt any improvement over my health or any different in any way so then I finally started back drinking one cup a day and I'm still doing fine
I am drinking green tea now, one week. But I also like the idea of lemon, warm water, and honey!! Think that I will add the lemon and honey to the cold brew of green tea!! Yes 25 years of coffee was enough!! Time for another healthy change!! Thank you for your thoughts!!
Since working from home I quit coffee because there was no team ritual that I needed to do to be able to get by within the work environment. I did quit a few times in my 20s, the withdrawals were very aggresive on me (week long headaches and runny nose, etc). I can definitely see I look younger and don't have social anxiety. I workout in the morning instead of coffee worshipping. I sleep well, I don't have arguments with everyone about everything. How are we not seeing something so basic until it gets the best of us?
Great video! I quit coffee two weeks ago and while it's not the easiest thing I've ever done, it's not the hardest either. I already feel so much more rested on less sleep, I'm less anxious, and my skin is clearing up too (I think from less sugar). I might still enjoy a starbucks drink every now and again but I'm so happy that I no longer feel ADDICTED!
While I do not disagree with what they are saying totally. It's really not that big of a deal and everyone is effected differently by coffee. I have been drinking coffee since I was 12 and had to quit when I found out I had a condition that you are born with. It lays dormant until you go through some hormonal changes and that is what happened when I had my second baby. I was told I couldn't even have chocolate! NO caffeine at all! I did have a "caffeine headache" the first day but thats about it. After my surgery I was happy to have my coffee again but there was no real effects for me like this lady is saying. Bottom line it depends on you and how it effects you!
This is such a BIG challenge for me. I've been drinking coffee off and on since the age of 10. My grandmother let me taste it with hot toast smothered in grape jelly. I was hooked. I've cut back a great deal, but I still like it and will probably will always have a cup from time to time.
Day 34 no caffeine. I think of it time to time but really don’t miss it. My drug of choice was a 5 hour energy a day, even when I didn’t feel I needed it. Ordered the stuff two cases at a time from Walmart and Amazon. Looked forward to the 5 min initial pick me up. I know, sad. Had to let it go. Too much anxiety. Replaced Starbucks. 17 years of caffeine to feel upbeat and energetic. Not how long it will last. Be encouraged.
In studies with two groups, one having coffee and the other decaf, answering different questions and making decisions the coffee drinking group made hasty wrong assumptions and decisions than the non-caffeine drinking group. The caffeine drinking group also showed more signs of anxiety, stress and bad temper. You could also measure unhealthy heart rates and blood pressure amongst sime of the participants in this group.
Yesterday I saw a video that said that 3 cups of coffee a day is good for the health. Today another video saying it is not good. It would have been nice if the tester spoke instead of the narrator. For me coffee is a stimulant when I need it. Not a habit.
I don't see why you need to quit entirely. I usually have a coffee every 3 - 5 days. I abstain for 3 days minimum to give my central nervous system a break and avoid adrenal fatigue
Coffee is part of me. My grandfather still drinks it. We're Cuban, so it's always espresso too. I left cigarettes behind in 2014 after being a 3 year smoker. One thing that helped was coffee. My favorite part of smoking, was waking up in the morning with a fresh cup of espresso and a smooth Marlboro. Then when I left them behind, the coffee gave me that feeling in a similar way. The steam slowly rising from the cup in my mind simulates the cigarette smoke. Also the strong coffee scent simulates the strong tobacco scent. So now in days, coffee is my Cigarette and it's done me no harm yet. I love coffee!
after 30 years of coffee, I quit 9 months ago and I am still tired even though I go to the gym three times a week, but I have a feeling after the 3 year mark of no coffee my natural energy will return. I am also on a 90 day no sugar (or fruit, honey etc). I do feel better.
You stopped drinking cofee in the morning and because of that you are having better sleep because drinking coffee 6 hours before sleep is bad... No one ever tried this experiment but second week is generally worst of all... And after all, you just changed source of cafeine so it doesnt matter at all
What seemed to take you four weeks to adjust without coffee took about one week for me, and I drank 4-6 cups of coffee a day. It's true, never slept so good in my life.
Thanks for posting this! On day 3 no coffee and I've slept great! I'm going to go for a week and see if this continues, if so I will give it up and save it for special occasions. Sleep is just too important! I was needing some encouragement so this video was nice :) hugs!
Countries with a high coffee consumption the levels of depressions that needed medical treatment were significantly higher. At the same time caffeine has shown to decrease depressions. The conclusions of these two different outcomes is that caffeine works like any stimulus drug. The buzz from a stimulant is not constant over time. The effects decreases and the dosage must be stronger to withhold the same effect. In other words, in the first years the caffeine stimulates the mood, but when the effect decreases depressions and anxiety problems are more likely to kick in.
Í usted to drink 2 12 ounce cans of redbull a day and I kicked that habit cold turkey same as when I use to smoke cigarettes and nowadays i don't even need my alarm clock to wake up before the sun begans to shine
I spent most my adult life coffee free due to not liking the taste. Added it in daily about 3 years ago. I am more tired in the morning, but I like the mood boost. I’m inspired to switch to juicing in the morning. I am sure we all know this is probably going to be pretty positive.
I quit coffee for 3 months and I didn't notice a difference in anything so I went back. Coffee is my comfort zone in the morning and I'll stick to that
Coffeeeeee is AWESOME! I don't care what people say... I drink one cup in the morning with my collagen. 10pm out on my bed and wakeup naturally at 7am. Exercise, water and COFFEEEE!!! Is really good to avoid memory loss, to over eat and I can go on but I have to make my cup of coffeeee:)
Hey! Two weeks ago I saw your video about drinking 4 glassi of water in the morning to get 'glass skin' like Japanese women. It was hard to not just go for that hot cup of coffee. I've only worked up to 3 glasses. Still drinking coffee but doing Bio Coffee which is alkine. It contains wheat grass. But still working up to quit coffee. I did it years ago and it's true!!!! You actually do sleep better, look more rested and my skin looked amazing!

That's a nice animation of a talking woman. I don't have any mood swings but I feel too lazy to do anything productive today. I don't really party or go to clubs. I don't drink liquor. I prefer Netflix with coffee, reading books, road cycling, cooking for my dog, and gardening at home.
I quit for few months, but I realised that I was in a slight bad mood in the mornings, no matter how many days passed. Recently tried to have coffee again, and my mood was so much better. I almost drink coffee because I feel bad being in a bad mood towards others. It is nice to start the day with a coffee specially when you know you will stay positive for the most part of the day.
I didn't like coffee for most of my life and only needed half a glasd of juice in the morning to pick me up. A hot cup of skim milk warmed me up. I am now a coffee addict which began with only drinking coffee when I had a very early wake up time. I started to use coffee as a comfort drink and became addicted. This video will help me free myself from this bad habit. I don't like yellow teeth and skin.

When I was 16 I wrote a song with a line "coffee's a drug, swimming in a mug"
Can you right it out? If you can.

I love coffe💕💕 I have drank it since my teens. I stopped drinking it for 3-4 months a few years back. It was hard at first. It showed me that I did not need coffee but wanted to drink it. I have been able to go down to drinking coffee once a day instead of 3x a day which was a plus.
this is crazy!! Coffee actually puts me to sleep at night and I wake up fresh in the morning.
I've been drinking coffee since I was 11 years old and I'm not going to stop now😃 I drink it without sugar or cream its so delicious☕☕☕☕
The narrator sounds like she needs more coffee..
Mark JR Alipio you won. 😀
hahaha
😂😂
She mentioned in the video that she becomes calmer (4:20). The more coffee you drink the more you feel sleepy, that's why you want more coffee. Not drinking coffee makes you sleepy is not true. I don't drink coffee everyday, i don't get tired throughout the day, and i sleep better at night.
hahaha!
I've been off coffee for over 2 months, headaches were bad,I noticed I eat more throughout the day. I eat oatmeal every morning and I feel energetic.
I only drink coffee 5 times a year. I'm happy I never got crazy about it lol the withdraw sounds horrible
Lucky!!! I am struggling to quit🥴
Me too like I just drink it in my exam days that's it😊
I love tea more than coffe lol
I drink only once in like five months
Yes...thats a spirit keep it up. I am addicted to milk tea with cream a three cups a day but one cup milk tea with cream in one time for sure.
Me at Night: I can quit whenever I want!
Me in the Morning: COFFEE!!!!!
2012 to till this year resolution :D . Let me drink today alone , tomorrow onwards Noo... That tomorrow yet to come :D
Coffee is delicious

I allow myself to drink as much coffee as I want for the first 3 hours of my day. After that it’s off limits. I sleep 8 hours exactly every night . I usually have 3-6 cups of coffee in the mornings
My every morning routine- lemon, honey in a glass of warm water.

I used to be a big coffee drinker. Hot coffee in the morning and cold in the afternoon. I drank it because I had difficulty sleeping at night and was exhausted throughout the day; now a few months later I am energized all the time and haven’t had any coffee or difficulty sleeping
This video makes me want coffee
true
Same here. First part sounded like advertising for it.
Saaame
srsly....n thinking “why would anyone wanna quit on a delicious drink”!?
I was once up to two pots of coffee a day, but don't drink any anymore. I phased it out this year after numerous bouts of reflux.
Reflux went away after ditching coffee?
This lemon and coffee in Italy is just no true! I live in Italy and nobody would ever think about putting lemon into it. Check you facts Bright Side.
I was stationed in Italy and I agree, never saw lemon with coffee
she meant limoncello.
I'll never find out--I drink 2 mugs/day and I won't be stopping any time soon.
Coffee is my addiction too, but i recently quit for about 3weeks cause of my anxiety. And for some reason this video push me to drink coffee again. Hahaha.
Did quitting help with your anxiety?
Celts Fan Yes! Quitting all bad addictions help
Try taking l-theanine before coffee - works wonders :) no more anxiety after coffee. Just good mood and energy.
Did it help with ur anxiety
I quit 3 months ago because it caused me anxiety. After 3 months coffee free I have more energy without the need of coffee and have developed healthier life choices.
Its been almost 30 days for me. The dr told me to quit in order to sleep better, and I finally am.
Good stuff
I quit drinking coffee cause my doctor said to for 7 years I never felt any improvement over my health or any different in any way so then I finally started back drinking one cup a day and I'm still doing fine
I live in Turkey and I never heard "coffee with garlic and honey"!!!
Mindfully Marina now and then? I thought it had only been two weeks
I've cut back a great deal, but I still like it and will probably will always have a cup from time to time.
where the coffees with or without sugar? that has a major impact on your health, never mind coffee, try going off sugar
Agreed.I drink my coffee black.
orionh3000 eurghhhh
You could also measure unhealthy heart rates and blood pressure amongst sime of the participants in this group.
you are absolutely right
There's no such thing as decaff
Yesterday I saw a video that said that 3 cups of coffee a day is good for the health. Today another video saying it is not good. It would have been nice if the tester spoke instead of the narrator. For me coffee is a stimulant when I need it. Not a habit.

Coffee is life.
I do feel better.
organic honey😉
You stopped drinking cofee in the morning and because of that you are having better sleep because drinking coffee 6 hours before sleep is bad... No one ever tried this experiment but second week is generally worst of all... And after all, you just changed source of cafeine so it doesnt matter at all
What seemed to take you four weeks to adjust without coffee took about one week for me, and I drank 4-6 cups of coffee a day. It's true, never slept so good in my life.
Different for everyone. Agree 100% it's so good off coffee
I can never stop drinking coffee
Charlize Cardona That’s the attitude.
That's the addiction of it. That's why I never start these things.

Coffee is my comfort zone in the morning and I'll stick to that
Coffee and tea are nervous stimulants, it's not good to consume several times a day and daily. Everything should be in its limit.
THIS! I quit and haven't been happier and felt more alive
It’s hard to actually let go of something you really love for better. ☹️
that sounds depressing
I drink 13 cups of coffee in a day!
And i am f***jng genius bro...
No bad effect ...

I also quit coffee for 2weeks , everything u post in this video is true and informative,i replace coffee with boost😄
Coffee is ruling ur life. Be alert
So basically:
How my life changed after i started to sleep 8 hours instead of 6.
I’m 20 rn and have been drinking coffee for 10+ years i believe I’m truly addicted but after watching this video I will start my journey without it bc it effecting my mood big time. Soo wish me luck y’all I’m bout to go threw the withdrawals ugh I’m scared but it’s for the best, peace and love ✌🏿
Anything to live a positive happy life 🖖🏿
That's a nice animation of a talking woman. I don't have any mood swings but I feel too lazy to do anything productive today. I don't really party or go to clubs. I don't drink liquor. I prefer Netflix with coffee, reading books, road cycling, cooking for my dog, and gardening at home.
Watching this video while drinking coffee
I quit for few months, but I realised that I was in a slight bad mood in the mornings, no matter how many days passed.
Recently tried to have coffee again, and my mood was so much better. I almost drink coffee because I feel bad being in a bad mood towards others.
It is nice to start the day with a coffee specially when you know you will stay positive for the most part of the day.
Quit why? never, it helps me to sleep, often I fall asleep before the cup is empty ... no kidding.
Coffee is the best 🍵

I am 47 and I have been drinking coffee everyday for 30 years. I see no reason to quit. I feel and look great.
