Yeah I'd say they are pretty decent for mixing type purposes. The frequency response is flatter than your standard consumer headphones so you get a better representation of the sounds.
That's a tough one, I think if you have any concern over the comfort you would likely be better with the Samsons. I think either way you will have a cracking pair of headphones!
Sorry kind of unrelated question. Would you know if the Sony MDR7506 headphone, which I believe is quite popular in studios, also offers a bloated bass response. Was considering it but am a bit wary of Sony headphones for just that reason. Thanks!
I'd say it's accurate meaning not so boomy or 'fun' like more average consumer aimed headphones like beats or even the mdr-1a which I reviewed. Adequate unless you're a real basshead.
So how are they holding up and how bad loud is the bleed on them? I need some new headphones, but I keep my mic really close to me. Never had open back headphones before, so a little nervous about that haha.
Hey, they are holding up really well (despite me dropping them on the floor a lot). The bleed isn't massive so it's going to depend on whether your mic is very sensitive. If you use voice activation detection I think you would be fine.
I'm a month late but I'll try to help if you still need it. SR850 are better for mixing as they are semi-open-back headphones, they have better Soundstage and frequency response, but they don't isolate external noises. SR950 are better for recording especially vocals / something else that uses microphone to record the sounds. The 950 benefits from the closed-back design, so the sound of the headphones will not get out to the environment and vice versa. I suggest the 950 if you're working in a noisy environment. If not, maybe the 850 will be the better option.
can't compare the two samson is an entry level audiophile headphones, while the bluedio TM is a bluetooth headphones that is probably for fun listening
Towsif Shahriar Shovo I have seen a lot of audiophile say that bluedio has some good price yet has some very not so flat, but fun sounds which are colored this headphones has more better soundstage, freq response and sound overall I have the samsons and I prefer them over the akg k92
Yeah they should be alright, might not get super loud as sometimes headphones like this need a bit of power behind them. With a computer/laptop I've been fine for reference,
Got these for £34 and I got to say it was one of my best purchases. detailed review very nice
Watching this video using my SR850.
Great review - thank you!
I have these and I’m thinking about replacing the ear pads with some velour memory foam ones. Do you think that would make them more comfortable?
Yeah I think any aftermarket pads would be an improvement. Beware that they are quite large though so make sure the ones you get are compatible
Ciao, can you tell the difference between semi open design and open? Thanks
I haven't sat and compared many to be honest!
Nice review...
Hello!. I also bought the pair from Amazon. I wanted to ask whether you got the box unsealed like me..!!??
When I bought them it was through amazon warehouse deals so it had previously been opened, but expected. Sorry can't help further!
I bought one in my country they came unboxed but in plastic zip bag which weird at first then i smell it i knew it was new, so its fine.
Would you recommend these headphones for mixing vocals?
Yeah I'd say they are pretty decent for mixing type purposes. The frequency response is flatter than your standard consumer headphones so you get a better representation of the sounds.
Is the sound quality better than Sony?? Is Semi open back better in therms of sound quality??
It really depends what you want out of the headphones. Is it more accurate + crisp? Yes, is it more 'fun' and bassy? No.
SR805 or Superlux HD681?
That's a tough one, I think if you have any concern over the comfort you would likely be better with the Samsons.
I think either way you will have a cracking pair of headphones!
I was just like you and I went with SR805, man! one of the best headphone i've ever had, not regret one bit

To my knowledge those headphones are highly regarded for studio monitoring so I think they would work great! They were one of the earliest models!
@@nish_ttp Yep, that does makes sense. I presume the others are more consumer headphones, hence the boosted bass. Thanks.
How is the bass?

@@VocasoGK thanks for your reply..ya i already purchased sr850 and it's too good.. :)
Great review! I cant believe you have only ~180 subs)
Do we need a headphone amp or audio interface or can use it directly with laptop
You can use these direct with the laptop no issues
you can use it without amp since the impedance is only 32ohms. Your laptop/Mobile phone can drive these HPs very well. :)
Make a comparison video bluedio TM vs Samson sr 850 please.
can't compare the two
samson is an entry level audiophile headphones, while the bluedio TM is a bluetooth headphones that is probably for fun listening
@@Monomonmamon Which one have better sound quality. Bluedio or Samson
Bluetooth headphones have better enjoyable sound than semi open back headphones????

I have the samsons and I prefer them over the akg k92
Towsif Shahriar Shovo although keep in mind that samsons cannot be uses wirelessly and is used mostly on indoors due to it's noisy semi open back
Can v use these with smartphone? Can we game with these? I m looking for a budget headphones to watch movies on my tv and game on my smartphone.

@@nish_ttp thanks man
Now I DON'T Know why did I purchased one.
Wait, I'm struggling with the double negative here - anyway glad the video was helpful!
