If an ENTJ fails, and starts hating himself for it, you're probably dealing with an unhealthy ENTJ. Healthy ENTJ's don't shy away from failure, we see that as a learning experience. Like I've always said "For me there's no "succeed or fail" there's only "succeed or learn"".
Monir Martinsen Bouker Hey that’s AWESOME!!!! Well said!I’m going to take that as my lesson for today that I can apply to my own life. Thanks for sharing and for watching my video!
True words have never said. The fact is ENTJ's cannot really hate themselves. May be, they'd become sad for that failure for a day and they'd search for the next thing to do become successful. They are always planning. Sitting and crying isn't an option.
I am a ENTJ this is mostly true except we take charge and try to in every aspect we don't mind following someone who actually knows what they're doing and complete the goals effectively
I’m an ENTJ and I’m following one of my very best friends on a couple of projects who turns out is also an ENTJ. Usually I’m the team leader but TOTALLY trust his judgement. I have zero problem following competence
I agree with most of what you said, except the last part, in which you said we hate failing. It's not entirely true, we hate the fact we failed , but most ENTJ (at least in my case), we take in that experience and make sure it doesn't happen again. We take it as a learning opportunity, we are actually very optimistic with a grounded logic. Someone said this and it truly represent the spirit of an ENTJ, "Take it till you make it".
It's not like this for everybody but there is in fact a tendency for intuitors in general to hate being wrong although healthy people will usually grow and be similar to what you just said
SOOO accurate. I am frightfully aware of these characteristics and have spent a huge part of my life blending them out and tying to be something i am not. The world is not warm towards female ENTJ's but hey we get on with it.
Kayleigh Dupont-Modeste Thanks so much for sharing insight into what it's like to be an ENTJ. Hearing your perspective is very helpful. I'm glad you liked my video!
you gotta find an INFJ since his dominant function is introverted intuition and he can understand you fully. I’m an INFJ and my girl is an ENTJ so :))))
As an ENTJ female I have seen a lot of videos about my MBTI, however yours was the first I have come across that really resonated with me. It was like you were simply taking the time out to talk to a friend and “drop some knowledge” about a type of person you met. That is a great style of video and connection. Don’t change that :) Thanks for sharing.
natmonee Aww 🥰 just when I was thinking of quitting you said the perfect thing. I really took it very seriously. I think cognitive functions are great but I wanted to relay the soul of what an ENTJ feels and looks like. So thank you 😊
I’m an ENFP. I’d have to say I usually like most ENTJ’s that I meet. They’re great at motivating others and bringing people together for one common goal. ENTJ’s are often misunderstood by many, because they come across strongly and are more Alpha dominant people. I usually read people well, so I can see that they really have the best intentions where others don’t get them.
There was a bank robber decades ago that when he was caught he was asked "why do you rob banks?" and he replied "that's where the money is". For me, when I'm asked "why do you go out on a limb?" I always say "that's where the fruit is". I think that may be an ENTJ quality after watching these videos.
Chris C But other types simply just aren’t as capable as the ENTJ, they are capable, but it isn’t their special part since the ENTJ is completely based off leadership.
I’m an EnTp and adore Entjs because they can teach me sooo much. They usually always have the answer to my questions. But they sometimes seem like growly bears! 😂. They make me laugh. And they like to be lighthearted with me too! Love me some Entj. I frustrate the daylights out of them though
Great vid! ENTJ woman here 👋🏻The people who REALLY know me tend to love me, respect me, & admire me. (not being arrogant jis sayin) problem is if you don’t spend enough time to get to know an ENTJ you’ll most likely & mistakenly misjudge them. And if you don’t like me that’s ok I’d just like to know WHY! Cuz an ENTJ is about LEARNING & correcting to make things better even if it’s themselves. Besides who wouldn’t like me once they actually KNOW me? 😉 I want to address the whole myth about not having feelings or being hard-hearted. 1st of all are you kidding?! We most certainly DO feel very deeply but most of us don’t think we have to be outwardly demonstrative about it. If we love you you’ll know it. If we don’t you’ll probably know that too! 😆Also I bet the saying “if at 1st you don’t succeed try try again” was inspired by an ENTJ. 😀 side note: CSJoseph typed Simon Cowell as ENTP
ENFJ here. I have worked for an ENTJ for 20 years, all my working life. I now date one too. Here to learn more about my bf, this is so useful. I guess I love ENTJs!
This video is the most spot on “do you know me?” description for ENTJ. Nailed every darn bit of it. Considering most people really don’t get an ENTJ or don’t want to know for real, that’s quite awesome. It’s amazing to realise all these things are common in exact form to a bunch of people in society as I don’t often come across people who are much like me. I agree with what many people have said that we don’t have to always be the leader but must have certain conditions in order to be able to follow someone without disrupting the current system or leader. However even as a follower it is inevitable that I will become the trusted 2IC within oh 5 seconds. In this role I will find myself having a lot of input and running things, if not also being the ideas person/strategist or adviser extraordinaire. I will also work my butt off in this capacity and probably execeed my performance as an actual leader. If it meets the conditions of being in total agreement and having admiration for the leader, I will support them to the end and be just as happy as I am in a leader role. This sidekick situation or being a leader is simply inevitable even if I dislike the job (which I will master almost from the very start). Heck it even happens in leisure activities ... I will end up in some organisational role or an officer in a gaming league etc etc. Without ever looking for it. Come to think of it.... at elementary school I was shy and bullied and thought I was nothing much and got voted school vice captain ... eh? What? A person I now know well - lol - just emerged from the moment I was put in charge of other students. Turns out I loved being in charge and managing things. As for failure, for the most part it comes from not being committed to something or having given up on the idea or the people involved. Otherwise I always say that if I go ahead with something it is because I have envisioned and planned/calculated it so well that my strategy will be exactly what is required and will have astounding results. I don’t think any ENTJ is capable of doing something important half heartedly and are also capable of adjustments on the fly to ensure success. If we lead something on a big level it’s with the confidence of being able to manage it masterfully. We will know our stuff by the time anything is launched. It doesn’t take much for us to understand the systems at play and once we do know enough to extrapolate and innovate we are almost dangerous with ability to make things work. So failure is not an option or a thought. Failure indicates we have already left the building. I also notice that ENTJs are those people who have so much to say and need to express it clearly in details. The ones that in this modern day are found to be highly annoying for writing so much in chats and comments, when others think that reading more than two half constructed sentences is a giant effort. Personally I enjoy reading long responses ... quality chat and better understanding lol. Reading used to be an enjoyable pastime, I guess people are spoilt for choice on the net and so don’t bother to go deep. But maybe this is a true indicator of ENTJs as you will rarely find that we are just rambling. It’s a show of the kind of rich detail we are able to contain and process that allows us to see patterns and to do the things we do.
im blakcat Thank you 😊 soooooo much! I really appreciate the compliment. I tried very hard for my ENTJs! It means so much that you took the time to write different aspects of your Mbti Type. I’m learning so much from reading what you wrote so thank u thank u thank u!
While failing is a very frustrating experience, I wouldn't say it is the MOST frustrating. Seeing inefficiency is the most frustrating, which can include failing, but doesn't have to. I work on an assembly line and I see people doing stuff every day that kills efficiency for no other reason than they got bored and it drives me up a wall. Some machine doesn't work the way it's supposed to, someone at a fast food restaurant doesn't get the order right, anything that doesn't do the job it is supposed to do, including myself at times, is the most frustrating thing above all else.
Jonathan Murray Gosh you're making so much sense! I think they need to make you the leader of that assembly line so you can make changes and make things better. I'm sure a lot of people are also frustrated just like you. Thank goodness for ENTJs because you know how to take charge and make things efficient. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this, more great things need to be stated about ENTJ's, especially the female ENTJ's. They cannot NOT lead - wow this is true. It has taken a lot of personal development to 'not need to defend myself' to anyone. People do need to trust our visions, completely agree. Loyal, wow, true especially if we have devoted our precious time to a relationship or something, it's likely we'll be in it for the long-road. Otherwise we wouldn't have devoted time to it in the first place.
Hello, ENTJ here (obviously)... For scope reasons, since you are delving into the inner workings of our collective headspaces, though I'm certain that not every ENTJ will feel exactly the same as I do... A few points, from my perspective at least: The 'try not to be in charge' part made me burst out laughing. I'm glad my wife wasn't in the room as I'm sure I would've gotten elbowed in the ribs. It's on target... mostly. I can follow... if the current leader is doing it right. If not, well, some adjustments need to be made to save my sanity and the outcome of the assignment or task at hand. I can't stand it. My skin itches and wasps invade my brain. (I have on a couple of occasions, or maybe a dozen or two, found myself being, ahem, very assertive in said group. Usually, I don't even notice that I'm doing it until, well, I'm doing it and the assigned leader is either giving me ugly looks, has fallen in line behind me, or is scratching his or her head wondering what exactly just happened... (but at least the wasps go away).) The bit on being a workaholic I find to be correct and not. There is an OCD-ness to my thinking. Until the "it" which I am working on is perfect, I am not done. It's not a wolkaholic-ness in the classic sense so much as it is a need for the systems (which you described with a disturbing accuracy) to be running smoothly and the way I saw it performing in my head to be a reality. Sometimes this requires long hours. It is not a "love of work" but a need for precision. Do I forget to eat on occasion? Well, yeah. Obviously, I can't walk away til this is right and I guess time slipped away from me along the way. Regarding failure... yup, hate it. On a day when a failure occurs, (and not trying to sound obnoxious but they're rare, see above: "precision") I find myself reliving the experience and breaking it apart like a math equation. I need to know if there was something I could have done differently. If, after processing and running through the different scenarios in my head (and in this world of stacked decks, it happens) I conclude that there was no way to win, I can let it go, but only then. If I see an area or two that would have changed the outcome... yes, I will dwell on it. I will kick myself for it, but I will also attempt to learn from it. Always always always learn from it. (Brood privately and later.) From my experience, the people that hate us typically have mistaken our assertion and confidence as arrogance. (Sometimes they feel intimidated as well.) Several people who are now very good friends did not like me at first because when we met they thought that I was a cocky 'insert expletive here'. After being around me, their viewpoint changed. Most people, though, tend to like me. On challenging a decision I've made or a direction I'm taking my team in... if you are right and correct when you contradict me, you will earn high marks... but you better be right. If someone wastes my time with an inaccurate and unsolicited critique on one of my plans (MY PLANS!), I have to assume that the person in question is either not doing their homework or is spoiling for a fight... either way, we have a problem. Bring up ideas, challenge me, but know your stuff (or get off my bridge).
Mark Wolfking Omg you cracked me up! LOL Very well said and quite entertaining. You make some great points. It sure is nice hearing straight from an ENTJ exactly what it feels like to be an ENTJ and somehow you illustrated it perfectly while at the same time validating The points I made. I think many people naturally find your type quite intimidating but hearing your perspective makes you less so. Btw, The wife who is obviously not intimidated of you and will elbow you if need be--ha ha---what is her personality type and do you have a different lane that you operate in with her where you sort of give in or let her win sometimes etc. etc.? Very fun read and informative. LOL.
Thank you Tams for your videos! You have showed me that I am a stuck between a ENTJ and a ENFJ. I can relate to both of these real closely! I love to meet new people and climb into their head to learn about them, I can tell some people are uncomfortable at first but usually they loosen up and I think they end up feeling good and I love to hear peoples story! As far as failing, I hate to fail. I understand I am loosing a lot because if I feel I cant accomplish something correctly it is hard for me to attempt it.
Mark Berry You’re so welcome! And thank you for sharing your candid thoughts. Very very interesting. I can totally understand why you feel a little torn between the two types. I think at times they cross paths and can be similar and can’t even relate on their thinking. But make no mistake about it they are completely different types. My guess is that you are a thinker but maybe low on it. So on a scale of 1 to 60 maybe you would be at 10 which puts you closer to the F feeler. Just my weird thinking. 😊
Lol 😂 I’m sending you a BIG huge hug for that. Yessssssssss I will do a video on ENTJ and INTP. It may take me a minute but know that it’s coming eventually so stay tuned. 😉
Actually we like failing. Trial and error is something we enjoy. However we hate frustration. When we are not given an opportunity to talk, when things cannot be planned and they go wrong because of that, etc. It is a very important distinction. (ENTJ)
@@naturalinstinct4950 wow yes, true. I score as an Enneagram 8, do you also? ENTJ's or 8's seem to be rarely afraid of anyone, I'm unsure I know many 5's. My partner is INTJ and scored as a 2 on Enneagram. He sometimes is even more goal focused than me, and it usually refreshingly surprises me, lol. Funny to see him sometimes more intense than me, rarely though.
Allison Ramsey Enneagram 5 are all knowing type so the 8s are afraid that they naught know their weakness. Also INTJs are actually more impulsive in terms of decision making, and it’s super hard for them to forgive. checkout CS Joseph’s channel for more information.
I took the test, also had my wife take the test, we both came up with me being ENTJ. It all makes so much sense to her, me as well but I live me daily so it just seemed interesting. The part that I need to add in to have it all make total sense, I am severe ADHD, extreme on the Hyperactive side, my short and long term memory are impeccable, but my senses are also extreme as well. I am now left wondering just how the two pair together? ENTJ/ADHD? Any thoughts?
My guess is that you are Highly Intelligent with that combo. Channel the 2 to be creative and productive and get a lot done quickly. ADHD adds uniqueness to your personality 😊
@@TamsPsychAdvice Very quickly. I have said for many years that I time travel, my wife, daughters, they are freaked out now that they have started to look into all of this, they are very freaked out, not in a bad way, but they always thought I was insane, I still think I might be insane? It does have set-backs, physical damage, lack of sleep, in some cases I can go without sleep for several days, not notice, the physical pain, the lack of emotional feeling, that is an issue.
Recently I attended a workshop n took a personality test and was diagnosed as an entj. Did my own research n stumbled upon this video and now I understand myself better. What scares me is the ability to predict the future if I go into deep thought abt the subject matter. Predicted the fall of my 62 year old govt and the collapse of several political party mergers. Thank you for this video. At least I know that I am a normal person and not some kind of a witch. Lol.
SpringCottage Ranau You’re soooooo welcome. Congratulations 🍾 🎊 to being an amazing Type. I have more videos on the ENTJ that can help you. Click on my playlist titled Mbti.
biographical, 1970, 7 academy awards, pretty much a guy movie though. Based on General Patton in WWII, the ups and downs of his aggressiveness, approach, demeanor. Very charismatic even infamous life going back to the Olympics and being a part of the US hunt for Pancho Villa if you do some research
BINGO! "Can become workaholic" do ya think? Just learning that I am ENTJ...had to ask my niece? We are very close. "Yes, Auntie, to a T!" And you still like me? "It's the only you I've ever known, so yes!" Could'a fooled me. I thought I as an INXP but clearly I had not all the data...🙄
All ENTJ's are introverts at one point of time. They evolve! I wouldn't really say introverts but they're figuring things out. Bill Gates is probably the biggest ENTJ because everything he does is just straight up gangsta just like an ENTJ however many people think Bill Gates is actually a nice guy.LOL! ruclips.net/video/NS83cGfaf8k/видео.html ruclips.net/video/QzftbBq42i8/видео.html
ENTJs are easily a leader for those without a brain or a center of themselves. If ENTJs get in an environment of humans that have quality and skills, the ENTJ becomes the clown around.
rosely covali actually as an ENTJ I prefer leading leaders in a more shared leadership model. Competence is king. People who lack a sense of urgency, are insecure, indecisive, ignorant and with low expectations waste time resources and energy. So this is far from the truth. We thrive around self aware people
If an ENTJ fails, and starts hating himself for it, you're probably dealing with an unhealthy ENTJ. Healthy ENTJ's don't shy away from failure, we see that as a learning experience. Like I've always said "For me there's no "succeed or fail" there's only "succeed or learn"".

(Brood privately and later.)
From my experience, the people that hate us typically have mistaken our assertion and confidence as arrogance.
LOL.
She's an INTJ (and my navigator when I go astray).
Ms J Yeah I think you're right. And when you meet them, many are in leadership positions.
Am proud of my personality entj
I’m one of the baddest of all time!!! 😆😆😆😆
Lol!!! Thanks for watching 😊
Insight on ENTJ's personalities are well presented...
Albert Viljoen Hi Albert👋!!! I'm so glad you think so. I appreciate you watching and stay tuned 🤓!!!
gurl you got me so well. I feel so understood. you're my new fav MBTI type explainer. well done
Lol 😂 I’m sending you a BIG huge hug for that. Yessssssssss I will do a video on ENTJ and INTP. It may take me a minute but know that it’s coming eventually so stay tuned. 😉
The bird in the picture looks like you’re wearing a helicopter hat 😂
-ENTJ
P.S: great video and I appreciate the flattery.
🤣🤣🤣
Actually we like failing. Trial and error is something we enjoy. However we hate frustration. When we are not given an opportunity to talk, when things cannot be planned and they go wrong because of that, etc. It is a very important distinction. (ENTJ)
Very interesting 🤔. Thanks for sharing.
I am ENTJ and i agree on your viewpoint.
Thank you so much, love your channel!
Charlotte Blanche Aw thank you so much! Hey is that a bunny 🐰 for your pic? I looove bunnies--very positive sign for me.
I really appreciate this video...I am new
Awesome!
Tam be good !!! signed an ENTJ MALE....NOW, BACK TO WORK
David Butts 🤓🤗🤠
The nostalgic iMovie track
A wonderful lesson I’m entj I’m transgender and I’m leading my community towards great things
i feel sorry for you
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed. I think Entjs make great leaders. 😊 Best of luck to you.
Well the only people who can stand up to ENTJ is another ENTJ
Also INTJ's.
Allison Ramsey lol yeah, similar to a Enneagram 8 is secretly afraid of the nerdy 5. Also INTJ is even more goal focused than ENTJ
Also INTJs are actually more impulsive in terms of decision making, and it’s super hard for them to forgive. checkout CS Joseph’s channel for more information.
doubt they’d ever be besties 😆
You missed your calling. You ought to be in Movies. Or at least, possible in Marine Recon Calendars. BLING, bling plus?
Aww thank you 😊 so much.
Watched the movie Patton. I think he was a ENTJ too
Chris C What genre is the movie 🎥? Maybe I can check it out someday.
biographical, 1970, 7 academy awards, pretty much a guy movie though. Based on General Patton in WWII, the ups and downs of his aggressiveness, approach, demeanor. Very charismatic even infamous life going back to the Olympics and being a part of the US hunt for Pancho Villa if you do some research
I love that movie. Patton is easily the coolest person I have ever read about.
What about Churchill? Was he ENTJ?
**we mean well, on global scale**
KaLili WhoElse I liiiiike that!! Thanks for checking out my video.
@@TamsPsychAdvice no ty🙏💚
I know that's a seagull in the sky in the picture on the wall behind her, but it looks like a tiny black beanie propeller she's wearing.
Yes- interesting video but so distracting- which is why I'm typing in the comments section while listening to her right now.
2:33 imagine a rainbow over her head
One thing ENTJ will be so handicap if they mix with teamate that is not follow able to follow the entj flow
I love your videos. But Bill Gates is not an ENTJ
Bill Gates is INTJ. He said he was an introvert.

INTP
Workaholism isn't a made up word
All words derive from phonetics , all words are made up only context, semantics give them meaning
Tom Hanks? ENTP!
Le Baron de Poinzéraut hmmmmm it's quite possible. Thanks for sharing your feedback and for watching my video 😌!
You are not mad at us? 🤣 who are u to be mad at us or not? Some one is narcissistic!
ENTJs are easily a leader for those without a brain or a center of themselves.
If ENTJs get in an environment of humans that have quality and skills, the ENTJ becomes the clown around.
rosely covali thanks for your feedback and for checking out my video. I really appreciate it!
rosely covali actually as an ENTJ I prefer leading leaders in a more shared leadership model. Competence is king. People who lack a sense of urgency, are insecure, indecisive, ignorant and with low expectations waste time resources and energy. So this is far from the truth. We thrive around self aware people
/\ this
I'm with you on this. I'm okay with a little hand-holding (mentoring/training), but my desire is to lead people who need a minimal (or none) of this.
