  • These aerodynamic fins (coming straight from GT3) help reduce lift and manage tire wake. Unfortunately even though they come shipped with every GT4, most dealers do not bother installing them on the cars during the PDI process since it requires a good deal of work cutting outlined holes on the wheel liners and the under body panels. 9/10 other GT4 owners that I spoke with said they didn't have these installed on their car coming from dealer. Here's a how to make a little project out of these over a weekend.

My understanding is that these spoilers decrees down-force and should be removed for balance if the rear wing angle is increased for more down-force. See page 7 of the "Driving on the Race Circuit" book that came with your car.

i think this is to manage tyre wake, it creates vortices that out-wash tyre wake

Beautiful i checked mine prior to track use, they advise you to remove them if you do attack mode and increase angle on your wing

Really? I know there is a seperate duct that you need to remove if you put wing in attack mode but this is not that. This channels the turbolant air coming from front whees out to ensure clean airflow under the car and reduce lift

check this video to see the duct that needs to be removed in the front: ruclips.net/video/NFUTUc-KjSU/видео.html

How much value can these really be? Would disrupt the flow of air under the car I would think. And vulnerable to being broken also,

yeah potentially a consumer part if you drive the car often but from arrodynamic perspective they def help reduce the lift by channeling disruptive airflow from wheels out. Its there on GT4RS and GT3 alike and I trust porsche engnieers knowing what they do
