- Dune: Part Two Is A Perfect Movie And Here's Why.
Dune is one of the most beloved and cherished science fiction novels of all time. The first movie was a bit plodding at points and had plenty of scenes where it felt like nothing was happening. That all changes with Dune: Part Two, there's more action, more drama, and its just an improvement in every way on Dune (2021).

IMO, it's better considered the second half of a six-hour movie. None of what you saw in the second movie would have made sense without the first one. Those who have read the book(s) know that it's one of the best jobs of world-building ever written and the first movie was an investment in that world-building without which the second (and hopefully third) movie would fall flat
I have not read Dune, but watching Part Two makes me want to read the book more than Part One did.
@@HunterBoldingVideo The first book, "Dune", is really sweeping in scope. The first movie suffered a bit mostly because it could not help but be a Part 1. I'm actually happy that Villeneuve was brave enough not to try to do the whole book in a single movie, Read the book if you have a chance. It's densely plotted but you'll come away impressed by how detailed the world/universe is
@@mattmathai I think I'll grab a copy this weekend.
@@HunterBoldingVideo Don't skip anything. Even seemingly meaningless things (like the chants or pieces of "history" can be important. Enjoy the book, but settle in for some hard work. (You'll probably be helped by having seen the movie - and you'll get a pretty good idea about Paul and his future)
Considering they cut most of what would've given part one it's emotional punch and dramatic heft, I don't see how it did a good job of world building.
I got my tickets booked for me and my best buddy for 1st march imax!! Cant wait!
I trust the word of a man wearing a Maiden shirt.
You made your case with conviction and I'm jealous in a happy way that you've already seen it. And the more viewings, in my experience, the better these movies get since they're so rich with well crafted detail.
Up the Irons my friend! I'm very much looking forward to a second, third, fourth, plus viewing of this movie.

A significant part of the Fremen mythology has been created by the Bene Gesserit Missionaria Protectiva, an arm of the matriarchy which practices "religious engineering" by introducing contrived myths, prophecies and superstition among the populations of the Empire with the intent to later exploit them to the advantage of an individual Bene Gesserit or the entire order.
Great review! I am totally seeing now.
