    What a time if you were British! Living the high life off the sweat of the local people and making sure they lived in shanty towns while Trinidad's British masters lived the high life in lovely homes and estates. The joys of colonialism.

      Uh, yeah. That is what conquerors do. That is not unquie to the British or white people.
      Today that is no longer the case. As with most things in life, there are winners and loses.

    Not to be negative, just bluntly truthful.. This looks like a rich white family's vacation film.. NOT the life of people like my grandmother who was forced to work for them at age 9...

    Wondering about French sign on building and later a flag 'Compagnie ??? TransAtlantique'. Scenes toward end presumably Pitch Lake in La Brea - a true vision of hell.

      Pitch, from the pitch lake at La Brea. Exported around the world to pave roads, but you wouldn't think it if you look at the general state of our own roads. :(
