I am Trini to the bone , love every thing about my country and I teach my daughter every thing about the old time days, just like the song say I know things must change but I still love the old time days. We must teach our children about our rich history and carry on in love.
I loved this video. Tears came to my eyes as I watched these amazing historical pictures. What i find amazing is that this song was sang back in the 90s or so and I would settle with going back to that time. This world is going downhill fast with all this poverty,recession, hatred and terrorism, What we had back then is gone (or going fast). Now we find relief in artistes that tell us to become more "wutless" and insensitive rather than open our eyes to whats happening around us.
everytime i hear this song it always make me warm inside and when i ised to here my mom and family talking bout the ole time days made me feel like being part of it and all the different stories that they would tell you as a child growing up....now its like trinidadians have know identity everything is america....everything else is coming back we could never see those days again......much love to all my trini people across the world much love ..

Don't feel too badly my boy. Change is agreat and Trinidad is pushing forward but at the same time we seem to eb losing the things that made us unique. Bring back those days I hear my parents talk about. I hate those hateful, spiteful, corrupt days that exist now. I want to sit outside without worrying about some spranga trying to kidnap me. I want my neighbours to come together and have a great time rather than lock their doors once they see you passing. I want to experience the christmas of yesteryear where everyone welcome you in their houses. Now people close their doors for christmas or go tocarnival band launches instead.
