Follow-up video of what happened with the salvage jet-skis! Also, man injured after PWC accident yesterday. Awful weekend for these jet-skis owners!!
CORRECTION: the green jet ski is a Sea-Doo 19/20 GTI 130, NOT a Spark.
holy, you were busy
luckily everyone is fine
IKR. some folks got no business on the water. 🙄❕
@@squirrelmaster1225 very!
@@idiotsinboats that’s correct
As a former PWC owner people tend to treat them as a toy and not a powerful machine to be respected
Yup ~ and look at the sea...fuck that! LOL
Need to treat them like a motor cycle but of course on water . For some reason people in that big head if there’s think they can’t get hurt because they are in water.
@@LasernaE87 Sea state isn't a huge issue for a jet ski, they can handle some nasty stuff. I've been in some pretty good sized waves on Lake Erie and the ski handled it well. Just have to drive conservatively. That's really the key to safe boating, to just be conservative and not afraid to stay in if you aren't comfortable.
This is why I don't own a bike. I do some pretty stupid stuff on my ski at 70+. Of course I'm fully aware of what could happen, and has a few times. But it's still fun.
PWC = Plastic White Cock?
People with no experience riding in conditions like that should not be out there. The results are catastrophic.
I have experience and I wouldn't take my ski out into those conditions.
I don't know. I just bought a jet ski. My third trip was in something like that. I just didn't drive like an idiot. You see plenty of people riding around out there just fine in the video.
One of the smartest things I saw here was the lady from the jetski collision staying calm while she was being swept out with the current. Easy to panic, but so much better if a person doesn't waste energy on a emotional freak out. Probably somewhat in shock. This is why a proper PFD is so important.
Funny to see just a single police guy helping, should be at least 2, one keeping an eye on surroundings and steering the boat, one helping the person in need.
Totally agreed needs to be a crew of 2,1to control the boat 2rd to render help.
As a resonsible owner of two skis this was defenitly a scary situation for all.. If these are rentals, not sure why they dont have a designated area to ride in.. All the ski rental companies where we live in OCMD, have areas where they are only allowed to ride in. Also its in the bay, no where near the ocean, our inlet gets choppy but Haulover takes the cake for sure.. Great video as always my man.. Stay safe everyone..
Not rentals...
@alanbrooks80 these is lack of inexperienced riders. You can tell by how they try to flip the jetski over. Also how they are mounting by the side me at 140 lbs in ocean city got taken by a wave and flipped. And I can flip a jetski in seconds. I have also taken the jestky through Miami Beach inlet. With about 4ft waves. And no issues these were rider mistakes.
The inlet said Amateur Hour Let's get them. 😅. Only one injured wow surprised
Yikes the inlet was hungry for jet skies that day glad there where no tragedies
Aussie here and I can't believe how cheap jetskis are in the US. My country makes me sick with all it's taxes, import duties etc etc
These people have no time on these PWC's Yet they are allowed to take them out in inlets such as this and people expect nothing to go wrong Stunning
So dangerous floating and clinging to disable Jet Ski in one of busiest and roughest inlets in South Florida.
AT HELLOVER it doesn't matter if your experienced or not .... you'll be swept out to sea ... it's a dangerous place to Play ... crazy to even go there ....
Red jet ski rider laughing at everyone else, until boom, he capsizes too. LMAO
Inexperienced people in an inlet, they should have to pay the cost to rescue themselves
Most people have no business buying and/or operating marine craft to begin with. The majority of your videos prove that.
No matter how good of shape you think you are in that kind of water the heat--exhaustion--dehydrated--could easily make so you couldn't get back on! As proven here!
I'm surprised we dont see more collisions in these inlet videos. Some of them boats going in and out of the inlet seem to be in pretty close proximity to each other considering that some don't seem to have very good control of their boat.
HOLD UP! RED JETSKI LEFT THEY ASS OUT THERE THEN HIS SHIT FLIPPED AND THE WATER FLOATED HIS ASS BACK OUT THERE!? LMAOOOOOO
This music reminds me of Demolition Derby on the first PlayStation.
All I hear is Seth Goldberg from New York in the back ground giving a lesson on water and safety!
If 3 people think they can hang on to an overturned ski, they have no business riding one.
One person rights the ski and gets it moving to clear out the water. The other 2 wait an extra minute by floating with their life vests!!
2:37 is not a spark!!
It’s a Seadoo GTI
that's one of the reason they make anchors and marine radios
Haulover on an outgoing tide is fast and furious. I grew up in N. Miami and have been in and out of that cut many times and have seen some crazy stuff.
I own 2 Sea Doos. How do you keep this from happening? Experience! Only allow experienced riders to rent or, heaven forbid, borrow ( being GP 1800Rs, I’m guessing these were either inexperienced owners or borrowers). And DEF must take a USCG-approved boater’s safety course! I’m so sick of the bad rep these idiots are giving responsible jet ski owners. THIS is why we have the restrictions we have for PWC (top speed, areas to ride, etc). Only going to get worse with morons out there doing this stuff. 😡🤬
Exactly!!!
@@Len_M. Covid and all the stimulus with the pandemic scares pushed a lot of folks to buy boats and skis that have no buisiness owning them. A week doesn't go by without another video of boats or PWC having problems in this inlet and others as well. And it isn't just the low end buyer either. Some have more money than common sense.
@@josephsmith291 The more money than common sense crowd is usually the biggest everywhere. lol
If I ever ride in water I know is going to be as rough as it gets at Haulover, I’m riding Kawasaki Ultra. The hull that is the king of rough water
Credit Card Captains at its finest
This PWC series is awesome 👍
Police passed that bloodied injured man in the beginning of the video @9:43 and was waving for help. Wonder if he's still out there, poor guy. 😮
Great shot. Ill be posting POV video of this rescue on my instagram later this week.
one person per rescue boat is not enough. right off the bat they have more people down in the water the people can help.
My boy Captain towboat to the rescue
It is difficult to feel sorry for this dood.
Love the music. Please play the entire song during the the whole video.Would make the experience better.
Definitely not a day to be on the Jet Ski!!
Is no one going to talk about the dude mumbling like chatty Cathy in the background the ENTIRE video??
those waves are way too big to be out on. people are getting way to spent trying to get back on
“Credit card cleared“ should not be the only vetting for boat and ski rentals. Especially here at the inlet.
Great point! I was saying the same thing while reading some of the comments...thinking WHAT ABOUT THE RENTAL COMPANIES...and why was the inlet not closed? I have never commented on this channel before, but this vid was scary.
I don't think these are rentals.
@@wjbarricklow They were. All rental companies require a PFD. If a jetski is owned, the rider is usually without a PFD.
Not all but some who operate wave runners, or jet skis seem to have the attitude that I can go anywhere, and do whatever I want with no consideration for weather, tides, sea conditions, or other boaters. Not only are they risking their, and their passenger's lives, but are creating a hazard to navigation with the capsized vessel in an obviously narrow transiting area. I've personally rescued two jet skiers, however I refuse to tow their jet skis in.
“The ocean was hungry that day, and many were determined to feed it, regardless of make, model or color.”
Instead of so many different agency vessels intervening in the same emergency with a single agent except the USCG, wouldn't better coordination and response from a multi-agent agency be better? A proportional response to the emergency? And to the users of the jet skis, a minimum of training and obligatory life jackets.
What’s so annoying is the Police and Coastguard putting their own lives at risk to save these effing idiots, not to mention the cost.
getting mental on the rental
my first hour that I was on my new ski, my buddies wanted to go into the ocean up here in central fl. well we jammed through the inlet (way less sketchy than haulover) and got to the outside break. I still felt very uneasy on a new machine I was still learning, Ive ridden skis, but never in the ocean. I told my buddies I wanted to go back in so we zipped back in real quick to the intracoastal. I know my limits and when I am comfortable or out of my skill range or experience. It was definitely an experience lol
17:45 OH HELL NO.................
Busy day for the rescuers. Glad everyone was ok.
Wow what a video! Big day for Rescue people. Your video are usual edited but this is uncut raw video because of the subject matter. Very hectic frantic day.
Thanks for posting this.
Okay and keeping Ski Dos away from the rocks, I'm not sure what else to add here except Stay Away From The Rocks!
My pleasure. the incident is better presented with the uncut raw video, the camera moves, the original audio. we think it would transmit a betetr idea of what happened
Besides the obvious inexperienced PWC operators playing with their lives. One operator onboard each police boat don't help much either. There should be one driving and one helping with ropes or anything else. They cant control the boats and help at the same time. A lot of time was wasted.
Just One on the rescue boat is just plain crazy, we would consider that even dangerous in rough conditions, our mid sized rescue rib never have a crew under 3, normally is 4.
I have said a million times jet skis have no business in that inlet. They create a unnecessary hazard putting everyone’s life in danger.
Many boats and PWC's are int he same boat problem wise. So many new owners of each this past two years.
Back in the day when we had the smaller jet ski's (700-800cc) we used capsize them on a regular basis, but could easily flip them over again and continue the fun, but as the video shows today's bigger one's when they flip they appear to have problems, and are difficult to flip back upright.
No it’s easy they just have no idea what they are doing.
@@Len_M. Probably, seen how they drive them!
@@Len_M. True. Only did it once in my 18 years of owning my 2004 GTX Seadoo. The manual states how to "right" an overturned PWC. Some even have a sticker on how to right the craft.
ruclips.net/video/BzU_22jASoU/видео.html
Not hard if you grab the intake grate with your hands and then step on the sponson, but no one in this video knows what that is.
@@stevenv2190 Yup.. you only learn by doing. Who reads manuals?
The dude in the boat takes a picture first and then helps them. 6:10 Really dude..
Giving obstacles a wide berth while operating any vessel is always a good idea.
I own one of these machines and they are perfectly fine even if you are in very rough conditions. The problem is that most of these people had passengers on the back. Once someone is on the back of these machines (Even though they are rated for them) it makes it several times more difficult to handle in rough conditions. They become for more unstable and take far longer to accelerate to plane. Especially for the average hippo sized Americans riding them.
After watching a few of these jet ski accident videos, the rental shops should not be renting to people that have no experience or little experience. They’re just looking for trouble. I’m glad that everyone was ok. That inlet is dangerous on a good day and I’ve seen plenty of boats turn around and head back in. Probably rented out and the captain has no idea what he/she is doing.
Oh and where I ride we have no police, no lifeguards, no one to help us if we have any drama, that in itself keeps you sensible
95 % of jet skiers are usually amateurs with 0 boating experience and no knowledge of any safety rules.
That water is really moving! Why would you chance it?
its like this all the time lol
The melt in the background needs putting down, doesn’t he ever shut up. The biggest problem I have is tourists on jet skis that just rent for a few hrs, no training no skills and put us all in danger.
The Inlet don't care how much experience you have, so if you have none you should probably stay inside the bridge.
Love the introduction music , who is that by??? Great video once again
Thank you
A harsh reminder that Haulover is not a place to be taken for granted or threaded lightly.
1:31 just add a small emergency paddle and you're fine...
I'm frm ohio..what's with the blue water, then turning green? I wanna live there
I always enjoy watching these fun exciting videos
Glad to hear it! Hope you subscribe
Simply put when swells are this bad at the inlet, jet skis should be prohibited
People who don’t know and respect the ocean shouldn’t be out there.
Also in the news two jet ski rental companies have filed bankruptcy.
Ocean swimming course ought to be mandatory to by jet ski's.... the basic boat handling does nothing to prepare for Haulover, Jupiter, etc....
Start them up and get going
to flip your jetski, grab onto the intake hole and pull it over from there
How to avoid blue jet ski on rocks:
1) when he was 10 feet away, turn bars to left, and hit gas.
They had impeller jams because they were riding in water that was full of seaweed.
@@BoatZone Thank goodness, the idea someone could be that stupid and be on a jet ski was disturbing. Malfunctions are another matter.
Well at least they will understand when that sea tow bill gets to their address
Exactly my thoughts
It's hard to say but when i see this vidéo i understand why it' so difficult for us in France to have the license to ride a Jet-Ski.
There’s not any good reason for it to be difficult to ride a jet ski. It’s pretty easy. Just don’t try haulover inlet if you’ve never rode before lol
License? This is America. Florida. Dangerous freedom.
Geez, how many different marine law enforcement agencies work down there? 🤷🏻♂️
Damn that supercharged Yamaha jet ski has an 18.5 gallon tank!!! That's almost the size of my truck with a 24gallon tank.
Can only imagine how fast those things go. I can see people getting too cocky and flying off a rogue wave or boat wake at 70+mph. Going 70+ on the water feels like your going 100+ on land.
Nothing like a peaceful day on the water and I’m not talking about the PWC clowns, I’m talking about the guy that never STFU for one minute.
I don't understand. Why is this allowed. People are floating in the water. Someone needs to get over here. Is there a lifeguard somewhere. Where is David Hasselhoff? Someone throw a hamburger into the water. I can't believe they let people on boats. I can't believe there are not laws. I can't believe I talk so much constantly and wave my hands about and grab my forehead. Why isn't there a helicopter hovering nearby. This happens all the time. I don't understand. There are three people on that thing and now all of them are in the water. How is this possible. There is another one flipped over. Oh my God. Someone needs to send in the National Guard. Does anyone have a sump pump? Maybe we can bucket brigade with red Solo cups.
Dude you missed every single rescue 😂
nope not me..stay in da bay on ruff days rookies! glad they ok..
Jet skiers should not be allowed in and inlet with heavy boat traffic and waters like that
If they knew the amount of sharks that are in the inlet....
Not sure how that dude managed to flip a Honda F12X (the red one)- that thing is as stable as a boat!
Sharks do like a good outgoing tide though
He was very lucky
Some folks got no business on the water. If you don't have experience don't play with the big boys😼❕
Fools or idiots...can't decide which. Many thanks BZ.
My pleasure
the worse part is they could be between swells and no boat would even see them, also the people with the seadoo upside down should know to crawl across it, grab the opposite side and pull it back and upright
Get a two way hand held radio.
Whats the fun in those conditions? Trying to get back on your jet ski...no thanks🤓
TIME FOR JET SKI LICENSE! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You mean a Watercraft License. Too many boats having probelms here as well.
2:50 clearly not a spark
You are right. Thanks for the clarification, I already put the correct info in my pinned comment
As a new PWC owner I would not be going out in these conditions lol
Jetski rental place: "Have you ever driven a jetski before?"
Customer: "No."
Jetski place: "Ehh, you'll be ok."
Jetski place": have it back by 5!!
That is one swift moving inlet current
WOW! That was tense action. Great reminder that the inlet is not for the inexperienced.
You got that right! Thx for watching
But as we have seen here it gets plenty of them🙄.
Are these rental jet ski?
and here I thought you cant sink a ski
Is there any reason why many of the emergency service ribs are single manned. In the UK and other countries most 8.5 metre ribs operate with a fully kitted crew 3/4 to cope with the various situations.
Because in 2020, BLM demanded that the police be defunded. This is what you get. lol.
I was wondering how the heck the rescue boat is supposed to operated his boat and save people all by himself
Probably because the US marine police units are basically policemen or sheriff deputies on a boat instead of a car. The RNLI crews are highly trained and have the right equipment for rescues like this.
Is this footage all on the same day??????
We provided the info inside the video, yes
Who else was waiting for a 42 Yellowfin with quads to coming roaring through there?
Omg 😳
I am here in the beautiful Erzgebirge/Germany and watch with enthusiasm these videos! Wonderful! Many greetings from here!...."Glück Auf!"
Thank you very much!
Gluck auf yourself pal.
Does these people get to pay for the rescue , I think they should . No common sense what so ever .
