umm the japanese structures are more chinese based and the timing of the trees in bloom and rice being planted is very wrong so the environment is bad . call out the bad designs of these gaming companies not to forget the made up history behind the game as well as racism it promotes.

You people do realize that ubisoft uses denuvo and it hadn't been cracked properly in years?
it doesn't matter how good it is, DO NOT BUY IT not at 100, it will only encourage companies to jack up the prices of EVERY GAME(well, minus inde games anyway) we do NOT need to be paying above 70$ for a normal game with no preprder bonuses(like back in the older days)
That's not how it works. Everyone else suddenly doesn't get richer because a few wealthy individuals bought a $100 special edition. Companies can't just jack of the price of items unless people get wealthier. The US government, together with the FED, doled out billions of $ to people in the form of stimulus. That's why things have gotten more expensive, inflation.
Gaming has never been a cheap hobby. People need to get this out their head. Depending on where you live, the price for a new game hadnt gone up for years, before a couple years ago. If the price had gone on par with other inflation, we would be paying more than 100 per game by now.

The West is focusing on the hiphop however in Japan the focus is on how the trailer actually showed Chinese music and lanterns, there are countless such cultural inaccuracies in the game, they really dropped the ball on this one.

Ghost of Tsushima was boring, it's basically a walking simulator where you get bombarded with cutscenes you can't even skip. At least Ubisoft's game focuses on actual gameplay.
I just saw the gameplay, and its.. clunky ? Kinda forced ? The parry animation force stop all enemy movement so the combat feels just "animation combat".
And the enemies glow too. That is just so weird.
Do people just not play other games? The enemies glowing signifying whether or not they can be parried has been a thing in many other games and in other a.c games...

I watched the gameplay dozens of times. Yasuke fought two lines of enemies and only when the duel happened at the end did that music start. Which I aslo didn't identify as hip-hop. I would bet that music is played through out the game with both characters. You're stretching a ton 😅

Yeah, unfortunate for me, I haven’t bought since origins and still have yet to play it. But the franchise isn’t worth my time or money anymore. If I remember correctly, they stopped following the original storyline years ago and there is nothing “stealth” about these games anymore. It’s just a money grab and has been for years just like every other 6:55 “AAA” game.
I hate modern AC. It's supposed to be about stealth assassinations. There shouldn't be any combat in the game at all.
@gamesfond melee and ranged combat/approaches have always been apart of the series. I feel like people are entitled to the opinion that AC shouldn't have fighting gods and magic and stuff, but to say it shouldn't have melee combat is pretty bold. That's just me tho
Since odyssey their games have only gotten better. Valhalla was my favorite game in the series and mirage was a nice call back to og games. Shadows looks great with ways to use both playstyles. I’ll probably main Naoe, but Yasuke still looks fun.

Black Flag really was the best PIRATE game, which is surprising, considering that nobody expected an amazing PIRATE experience from an AC title. Sailing the high seas, plundering loot, creating a PIRATE haven. It was such a blast. Now why am I typing "PIRATE" in all caps, you ask? No reason! 🏴☠️🏴☠️
Funny enough, that's the only old-gen ACs i didn't or want to play, like at all. For me, the incentive of being/playing as an Assassin has to be on land, traveling by horse and killing/assassinating target and such. Why the hell would I want to play as a Pirate sailing in the seas and everywhere I see is, water? And yet, ppl love the HELL out of that game, because the novelty of being pirate, which I admit something I will never get it in my lifetime. But if the other like it, good for them. Everyone deserved to experience something good in their life, regardless of how it seen to the other.😄

Rise of the Ronin is pretty good and leans heavily into the historical aspect of Japan. It'll probably end up being better considering the combat is just...way better than anything AC has ever made. It's Team Ninja, there is no competition. Also if AC Shadows has Yokai...just get Nioh 2, that game is a masterpiece.

@@dejuanhickman3175I would understand if you were talking about Ghost because you can only use the katana but Rise has multiple combat styles for each weapon type. The part about parrying is also odd given that you can dodge and block to avoid damage and use ranged weapons mid-combat. If you don't want to rely on parries you don't have to.

The score straight up uses trap beats. Ubisoft really decided to use an African main character then go "Hey he black CLEARLY we should use 'black music'" as if all dark skinned humans on this planet are a homogenous culture that listens to Lil yachty.

Why play this game when people can play nioh 1 and 2. They both have Yasuke and a way better combat system than any asscreed game.
Everything seems stiff, there is no fluid movement to the world around you. The actions and World seems stiff like you are saying I think Ghost did combat better, loved the music in it also it helped immerse me in the setting. This just doesn't seem that have an authentic atmosphere to it. Thanks for sharing your time.👍

Besides, If you take the oh so expensive live service out of the Crew and made it playable offline, it will do no difference.

There should've been a character creator at least.
Start of the trailer and the trees don't even rustle, it's like there's zero wind at all hahah everything look like statues. They only started moving when you get close enough to them so the LOD on the distant assets are static.
The first game was all about blending in with the crowd. I don't see how exactly you do that in feudal Japan while wearing full samurai armor, emblazoned with a giant Oda crest, sporting dreadlocks, and with skin as dark as night. The only way you could stand out more is if you were sporting a couple _sashimono_ flags.
Honestly, any bad guy with two brain cells to rub together would be able to spot you a mile off, if for no other reason than how the crowd is moving.
I love how so many content creators ignore one of the biggest issues people have with this game when it's so in your face front centered. Millions of Japanese people, one of the most richest culture and history known to mankind and they picked the single black dude who was there for 2 years. When you look at the people who made this game and compare it to the studio who made Ghost of Tsushima, one studio respects Japanese culture and the other spits on it.
They picked him because they didn’t want to be compared to GoT. There’s so many games with a Japanese samurai or protagonist they wanted to be unique. Yasuke is a cool character with a cool story, so I don’t care that he’s in the game.
Nah no one cares if the game ends up playing well, the political shit doesn't matter when money is made and their preorders are already through the roof with outlaws and shadows. Nothing will change, just give a shit review if the game has bad aspects so quality goes up. Thats all we can do, nothing else matyers.

Yeah, because SP can pick and come up with original unpopular Japan setting that ppl don't usually see and depicted in media, doesn't mean other devs can't do the same with a popular historical Japan setting with a unique cast, can they? Because having a foreigner, a Black Foreigner, like you said, is a spit on Japan. So why Japanese have media like anime about him where he's promoted more than what he's really was? I was over Assassins Creed about 10 years ago. It peaked with Black Flag and i noped out sometime around Syndicate. And i think i stayed too long.
Yea I tapped out with Syndicate too. I was so uninterested in the series by that point I couldn't play past 2 hours of that game. This Japan setting came way too late

Okay, why is the NPCs not commenting on the fact that he does not look anything like the rest of the people? It's like an American visiting Africa and kids keep tagging along because they never saw a white person before. My problem with the protagonist being black is that he is never presented as one. Oh is just another samurai that happens to be black. This is horrible, culture is based on traditions and their people, if you bring a foreigner to Japan of course they are going to act very differently. I would love to see NPCs not trusting you because you are black or taking their children away, and other people learning to appreciate who you are and speaking good about you to others. This is why it feels so forced, like if they made this change at the last minute so they can be more "inclusive". And the same thing happens with the female protagonist OMFG.

If they were gonna make yasuke the majn melee fighter they have to invest a lot more in melee. Compared to other samurai games that felt slow and lacking. Naoes gameplay looked pretty fun though with all the mechanics and stealth flavor
