Also screw what people say about phone photography cause I've taken what you've taught me on using the galaxy and one of my pictures was picked for an exhibition down in Mexico so thank you for helping us all the time
I'm impressed how quickly you find compositions to make the light work. After meeting you at White Sands I've had a hard time finding compositions, nothing but blue skies so far; must be a desert thing. Thanks for sharing your great photos.
Epic time-lapse! Enjoyed the video. I've heard people doing the "finger-trick". If you haven't already, you might do a video on that some time. NOTHING like New Mexico light.
Nice jump Spiderman @12:57 lol. Not gonna lie you had me worried when you didn't bring up the time-lapse in the beginning I look forward to your time-lapse videos
You worked your butt off for this video!! I finally sprung for the 100-500. Thinking the image is dull. Will have to try a few things. I just updated to the latest firm ware.
Some photographers make me laugh. In one breath they will say "the gear doesn't make the photographer", and in the next they will say "don't use your cell phone camera".
Hi brother... Loved your all the photography tricks.. Can you please give the video regarding the camera of samsung m51 for astronomy photography using pro mode
I'm definitely not afraid to shoot with my phone. I presume you shot RAW with it but you didn't say so. BTW what lens was on the R5? It breathes like crazy.
I only switch to pro mode and raw on the phone when I'm doing long exposure stuff, everything else, like the shots in the video, were all in the regular mode. I think I had the ef 16-35 f4 on the R5.
@@BrentHall thanks, I had a feeling. I have that lens and that focus breathing is my only complaint about it. Not a big deal for stills, but very noticeable in videos.
@@CarlosHernandez-kg8py focus breathing is when the lens changes focal length when focusing either at close range or distant. It's mainly a problem with certain zoom lenses. Notice when Brent's R5 hunted for focus in low light, the framing kept changing. The EF 16-35 F/4L is a great lens but at close focal range, the 16mm acts more like 20.
You mean the R6? It and the R5 do have a focus stack mode but it's a pain to use. For landscapes I wouldn't bother with it. I might try it with a macro image, though since a macro would require a lot more finely-focused images than a landscape would.
Great captures! You make it look easy. You enjoy what you’re doing. Fun to watch. Much appreciated!
Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it! Just takes s lot of practice at being frantic. 😁
@@BrentHall Haha! Good one! Love your style…👍🏼

Thank you Brian!

Thanks man! Yeah, desert comps take some getting used to finding and seeing.
Love your enthusiasm!
Why thank you! 😀
Really nice stuff Brent.
Thank you Tom, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The meteorological term for those god rays are crepuscular rays! As a meteorologist I appreciate the virga mention!
Yeah it is... but you only get one good meteorological term per video, lol :P
Awesome video as always 🙏😉
Thank you!😀

I thought you have a focus stack function on the R5 and r6 ?
There is, on both. I just didn't take the time to use it.

Sorry, I don't have that phone, and I can only make videos about the stuff I have.

Thanks a lot 😊
Is there a way to focus stack on the galaxy s21?
You just have to do it manually and then blend it photoshop.
@@BrentHall thank you

John, can you explain what is this lens breathing. I have the EF 16-35 f/4 also.

Doesn't the Z6 have Focus Shift?

Hey, I have that Velbon tripod too, how random is that?
That's crazy! I've had that tripod for 11 years now.
